Imagine being eaten alive by a snake fffffff
I like snakes but I don't like how they wrap themselves around prey and squeeze them to death, ugggh fuck
This is the same thought process of Americans in the 1800's when they brought slaves over.
This is the worst comparison I've ever seen, seriously I can't even comprehend your thought process. The difference is that you know, snakes actually are less intelligent, Africans aren't.
That cat is probably dead anyway.. I doubt it's internal organs were left unscathed and you can see it has obvious locomotive problems at the end when it tries to run off. Unless it has a benevolent owner, I wouldn't give it two days.
True hero? That cat did not seem to escape unscathed. Kill the snake, save the cat. Cats are mammals, they have emotions and can plan future events. Snakes are reptiles, they are primitive and show little to no signs of any thought function outside of the bare basics and lacks the mental components necessary to feel emotions. Risking the life of the cat to save both is a poor decision in my opinion.
It's not fair to say that one animal is more important than another. They're animals. Animals eat each other. Would it be different if it were a wild cat and a snake?

It's perfectly fair to say that one animal is more important than another, if one animal is more intelligent than another it would be better to save that one.

Cool. Tell me something I don't know. Your silly hypothetical situations mean nothing.
So much speculation in this thread.
As much as I like cats and stuff, that's how life works. Most of us are desensitized because our dogs eat food out of a can or a bag, but that came from an animal.

-snip- so no one bothers to reply but rate dumb for not wanting to kill animals for a retarded reason? Makes sense.
Everything is relative. Cool. Tell me something I don't know.
Strictly speaking, truth cannot be relative, because if it was, it'd be absolutely true that truth is relative, and therefore, absolutely true that truth is absolute. So yeah. Not everything is relative. [SUB](If you disagree, say "There is no absolute truth." out loud a few times and think about it for a bit.) (Edit: And if you still disagree, realize that "There is no absolute truth." is a statement of absolute truth, and is, therefore, self-refuting.)[/SUB] Anyway, this guy lives in Costa Rica and does not know how to handle snakes. That is not a good combination.

Of course I'd save MY dog. But if it were a dog I didn't know and a chimp fighting, and I HAD to kill one for the other to live, I'd kill the dog for sure, the chimp is by far a more advanced creature in many respects and values its life far more than the dog does.
