You ever put a lot of pressure on something, and then put a lot of effort into moving it, and noticed that after that initial shove it slides along easier? Pencils don't have that. Since you're grinding down the pencil lead it always has that same grip on the paper. The plastic nub on a tablet pen doesn't have that. It sort of scrapes across the paper. My point is it's different, and I don't like things that are different.

Well clearly it won't give you the same feeling as a normal pencil, but I can't draw or paint with my tablet without having a paper on top of it :v: But I get your point.

So my brother has moved out of his room and my parents are turning their old room into a consulting room. The main chimney breast sticks out and I've proposed to do a centre-piece. The sides are going to have some crappy ikea shelves or units in them. Here's a rough sketch of what I was thinking. And at the bottom near the fireplace (just about visible on the sketch) are some finer floral details. Comments, suggestions? By the way unsure of the colour as the walls are a cream, perhaps a light blue or brown? I've been thinking of a few designs and I drew this one today as I found some time. I did have an idea of the design being angled at 45 degrees, with less detail and the main section grossly enlarged. Watch this space, more to follow!

You could have used contour lines to give depth. The pose is really awkward, his arms look really wrong. You could have made the left arm lighter so it would show that it is farther away. And personally 90% of the time I see drawings of characters with armour it's because the artist is taking the easy way out. Oh and the last thing is don't draw on lined paper.
