the subtle off white colouring... ohmygod it even has a watermark
I preferred it before with the edges. Just smooth them down a little.
for those who dont like the rough edges [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/cc%20art%20school%20square.png[/img_thumb] bam
I preferred the one with rough edges.
An update mid process. As you can see everything is much more solid and I have pretty much entirely fleshed out the nose and now I am moving onto the cheeks and eyes. The once I flesh out everything like the nose, other colors and finishing touches will be added. [img_thumb]http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn229/1chains1/step3-1.jpg[/img_thumb]
This is just something I've always wondered about digital painting, you see where the the colours a nicely blended together, for example on the nose here, is that done by just using very very similar colours very very carefully, or do you use the blur tool to blend them?

I doubt Chains could get such a nice effect by blending.
I have a trick to blend in photoshop, but I'll keep it as my trade secrete xD

It depends how smooth you want to be though.
Put it to a vote?
Bwahahahahahahaha. No, but seriously; the problem with yours is that it's not wide enough. But with the style of it it can't really be much wider. But you could try and imitate Rusty's setup with art school being big and creationism corner being small. But the bottom line would become really fucking wide and it would look silly to just have such a small ammount of text in it in the middle. Which is why I think the way yours looks now is "as good as it can be" for that style.
for those who dont like the rough edges [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/cc%20art%20school%20square.png[/img_thumb] bam
Horseshit. Bring the rough shit. Let it be a bad boy. ALso it's obvious that mine is the bestest. Fuck the rules, play it cool, be a bitch. You know it's the real deal when it has 3 different fonts.
I hope you're not serious
Oh god is that Comic Sans?
I hope you're not serious

ALso. bestest. the real deal. 3 different fonts.
totaly srz,
Oh god is that Comic Sans?
Dayumn straight! It's what all the pros use. Even real life shops use it for their logos.
disgusting
Tanks.
you forgot papyrus it had to have papyrus font to be serious
I was thinking about that too. But I didn't have enough text.
What? No Times New Roman?
times isn't disgustingly awful though
times isn't disgustingly awful though
If you use it as a design font and not just text-content font. Then yes, most of the times it is. Timespapyrus Arial Sans
i know you chose bad fonts on purpose, but i really hope you were trying to arrange them badly too otherwise... gosh...
it's a regular serif font, what's so bad about that? i can agree it's still a poor choice most of the time (although it can work with small amounts of copy) it is not in the same boat as comic sans and papyrus in terms of ugliness.
i know you chose bad fonts on purpose, but i really hope you were trying to arrange them badly too otherwise... gosh...
Of course I was. Don't you know it's cool to make text merge into eachother? And can't you see how the text is skewed so it gives a ultra-cool look that totally breaks the norms?
it's a regular serif font, what's so bad about that? i can agree it's still a poor choice most of the time (although it can work with small amounts of copy) it is not in the same boat as comic sans and papyrus in terms of ugliness.
I can agree that it is not as ugly as the other fonts. But it's still an ugly font for that kind of usage. But as a properly used font it's good to look at and has nice readability. But I prefer calibri.
i hate this thread now jus sayin
i hate this thread now jus sayin
Yet you rate posts funny and make it seem like you have a jolly good time.
personally i blame dgg
Personally I blame you for having such a charm that makes me want to nag you. All the time. Also I'm relaxingly stressed by the deadline I have making me even worse than usual and less concentrated and working even less on the tasks which in turn makes me more stressed and depressed making me more bothersome, circle circle.
yo shut the fuck up charles im the juggernaut
Yet you rate posts funny and make it seem like you have a jolly good time.
some art would be better tbh. came on today and there was like 80 new posts or something. 2 pages of sarcastic comments.
There's a difference between Times and Times New Roman right? I think there is.
