Same here. I won a full ride scholarship about a year and a half ago. I get paid around $2,000 each quarter.

also he seems to be mixing vector drawings with normal line drawings and then painting it using soft brushes, a bit confusing if you ask me
some of it even looks like a shoddy bitmap trace. eugh.

It is unfinished. The part of the rat that is inconsistent with the highlights and shape on the back is just a live trace of the drawing.
No brushes used. Dont know where anything looks like a soft brush has been used.

IF you spend so much time doing the red boxes and lines why don't you instead of making them fix them?
Break them down into easier shapes if you have to, don't rely only on drawing the outlines.

Uh, where did the art school thread. I'm in serious need, so I can draw "realistic faces" so that I can draw "anything that is good".
I also need tips on drawing bodies. My art teacher's method is practically his own style and is impractical for me as I can hardly understand it. It consists of blocks and cylinders to form the body.

Besides the porportions and the weird gun, I really like this piece! The lack of shading makes it even better. Good job either way.
I also feel an "eastern" vibe from it.

the black borders change thickness and spill out into frames and into the background a lot
