Planning a children's book on that boy and bear thing.
But i'm not a writer.

Working on a bigass painting. Obviously it's a huge WIP still. I'm also gonna make it higher contrast later on

Holy crap, good luck with that, if you don't go crazy before you finish it can I have it for my wallpaper?
Rusty what about all those Flash drawings you made once, that time you joined Coflash? You still have those? Good times, drawing guns and cars in Flash all day.
I remember you even typed properly that time. It's like 5 years ago.
Time to omit more horridness into this thread :v:

Writing skills come before drawing skills. Also, make panels for the comic otherwise it just looks like they're floating around on the page

Teach me how to Illustrator!!!
key word in my post
FLASH
illustrator is a piece of shit. use flash
Well if you're making guns I suppose you'd want to animate them too therefore flash would be the best option
[editline]5th April 2011[/editline]
Besides Illustrator is just: make a square, shape it, add a gradient then repeat until you have a bunny or some shit like that

and then filling in every gradient

All I can say is. Zero seriousness and made out of free time in school.

At least I was honest. Good thing I didn't blight the lmao thread with this picture.

How are we supposed to know that you were referring to a tutorial? Also you do know that just because a tutorial is about drawing bunnies it doesn't mean that that's the only thing the program can do?
If I write a Microsoft word tutorial and suggest slapping your dick against the keyboard to type it doesn't mean that's the only way to do it.
Besides Illustrator is just: make a square, shape it, add a gradient then repeat until you have a bunny or some shit like that
ahahaha. yeah good luck on your design placements...

Flash is awesome for drawing/tracing. Drew these a couple of years ago with flash

Now to be a lil more serious.
I haven't been continuing the digital art I was working on earlier. I've taken Detlef's suggestion of drawing stuff and since I have plenty of spare time at school and home, I've bought myself a "doodle kit", consisting of two light pencils, one darker pencil, an eraser, a sharpener and two blank notebooks (absolutely blank, it's like a mini-art pad). Just as a note, I'm not aiming to create wonderful pieces of work, like making an excellent portrait of a cherry blossom orchid, I'm just to trying to get to a level where it would be considered "decent"
I've used up to 6 pages so far in one book, 2 being used up by a friend showing off his exemplary art skills. And in the other book, 1 page for that cheesy comic.
I'm just going to post a scan of the 2nd and 3rd page and a not so accurate, unintentional self-portrait. This was taken a few days ago, I'll post more recent scans tomorrow.

Page 2 and 3. Reason for censor box: You don't want to see it, trust me.

Unintentional self portrait
I've just got two questions. How can I improve and how do I draw a face from a 45 degree horizontal angle.
ahahaha. yeah good luck on your design placements...
thanks for the sympathy, I got turned down by S&S -no surprise- and another company wouldn't take me because they already have interns. God damn this is harder than I thought. If any of you know someone that works in a design company in Malaysia please help, please
also, as you can tell I was joking about the illustrator thing, I do know quite a bit about design.

It was a double post of my earlier post.
