I dunno, it looks sorta blurry
[editline]7th April 2011[/editline] To honest I'm still quite bad at photoshop. When I have the image at full size the pixels are really obvious. Is there any easy way to stop that happening or do I just have to go along cleaning up every line?
[img_thumb]http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lhoah8QKCF1qct3u1o1_400.png[/img_thumb] Only version I have of this. Cover art I did for a band I like as a school project. Original was without text, I threw the text onto this to slap it onto a webcomic.

But there is no one-hit-wonder-click that will make everything smooth. Except for blur, which makes it too smooth. For drawings like these I would recommend doing it vector-style. Whip up the pen tool in Photoshop/Illustrator or use Flash's line tool.

just wanted to share this cause i thought it was artistic and funny. In our anatomy class we had the assignment in the last 10 minutes of class to draw a heart and label the four chambers as well as major arteries and veins (basically less than 10 things) most of the class basically just took their paper drew a heart and divided it into four pieces and wrote the chambers. At the end of class we were asked to hang them on the board. I went all out because i'm me. when I get it back I'll scan it just for you babe our Anatomy teacher basically just tells people "why can't you be more like JC" pretty much. since a lot of our projects are making our own study material and since it's anatomy it's a lot of drawing and memorizing.
also by far my most favorite water color image i have done the black border is Ink of India but the rest is ink and water color. i love water color man.
Watercolor has to be one of the most fun mediums ever.
Usually I hang out in the Ms paint section, but I drew this in muro (unfortunately required) for the Dr. Pepper contest on dA: Some aspects I like about it, and others not so much. I would have asked for critique on it before submitting but the contest ends today. Seeing as I am late, I would like it if you could go to its link: http://theloneredsheep.deviantart.com/#/d3dh26z The reason being that, as I'm sure you know, on dA you need to be seen in order to be seen more (as trivial as that sounds). I'm just asking.
Avoidance
We could sit alone in the room, Darkness shrouding; We could embrace each Other with certain simple Reverence, Conforming to one Another purely on the floor; Then the room becomes stiff, The air becomes warm, We’ll never leave one another but my stomach feels coy while I stand up in the filth with my broken mind dampening your hair
Poem I wrote, please tell me what you think!
Here's some crap class doodles
what canvas size do you draw it in?
Ah, too small I'm guessing... It's only about 900 high. If I start with a much larger canvas but of the same proportions that I want the finished piece to be, then resize the image when it's finished to the size I want, will that keep all the lines smooth? I guess it will.
I much prefer painting with a pallet.

LOW OPACITY bRUSHES, NO BASECOLORS!!!
LOW OPACITY bRUSHES, NO BASECOLORS!!!
shut up mom you can't tell me what to do it's my photoshop document, it's my decision [editline]8th April 2011[/editline] christ i mean you have johnny classdoodle posting his things he made during sex ed or some shit but then i post my photoshop doodles and suddenly im being verbally crucified by the detlef inquisition for not following etiquette and protocol what happened to the friendly vibes we had groing bros, what happened
it's my photoshop document, it's my decision
But it looks bad. All wishy-washy, no definition to the piece.
But it looks bad. All wishy-washy, no definition to the piece.
Agreed.
No seriosuly you should learn the basics before you go and do it the way you think is most comfortable. No bascolors makes the drawing look sloppy and the background color comes through creating ugly blothes you are not intending. The low opacity brushes fucks up the values, you want it to be a light color? choose the color it should have instead of just guessing a lighter color and turn down the opacity. it's sloppy and looks bad, but most of all it's bad for learning. drawing with full opacity brushes doesn't mean that you can't have pen pressure btw. Also never use white or black on low opacity to shade it, this is a habit you have to drop. We are bros that's why I'm telling you this [editline]8th April 2011[/editline] Sure you can just go ahead and say "this is the way I want to do it, it's my painting" but that won't get you anywhere
My tablet is broken, it doesn't detect pressure any more :(
