Exactly. Also, smog. It was done as a go-green thing for my school. And I just think it's adorable.

Oops, I don't think my mushroom deserved a thread.
First Real Image Manipulation Attempt Took this After a hour or two of blending, erasing, pasting, and editing. I know its a bit overdone. And badish.
I wouldn't be able to tell what you were trying to achieve if you had not posted the original pic... :(
I'm getting a little better now. You think so? I still need to work on coloring technique.
This disproves your argument :smug:

Does this make up for my last piece of shit?
That depends, what all did you do? Also you misspelled "Johnny." You might want to fix that.

Also, she appears to be lacking a trapezius.

Were two F22s before. -Added Blur and did color correction -Added Su-37, blur, and effects. -Bottom Movie Poster text -Moved and redid clouds a bit.
I do warn you that all of these are paintings that I never got around to finishing. Corel Painter 11 [img_thumb]http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/6418/aperture.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/2295/eyep.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/48/dovezr.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/410/cottesloe.jpg[/img_thumb] Photoshop CS5 [img_thumb]http://img852.imageshack.us/img852/2450/tsunamis.jpg[/img_thumb] This one is nowhere near finished, I was going to remove the black lines and detail it more, but never got around to it. Can anyone please help me with my painting techniques. I need a lot of advice, I only just started painting some time last year, and I've only done about 6, but for art this year I'd like to do my final piece as a digital artwork so that means I'm going to have to improve a lot by then. My theme is natural disasters so I'll be painting a lot of buildings, and at the moment I'm terrible at that. They don't have to be super realistic, I'd be happy if they were sketchy but still had a sense of realism to them, and didn't look like a 5 year old painted them. I'd appreciate any help.
those eyes have HUGE tear ducts. maybe that's why they look so odd to me. I can't really comment on technique as I don't paint but everything seems rather flat

Just wanting some CC on this, I'm not going to change anything on it, I'm just more looking for things to avoid and/or get better at in the future. Things I already know: The body looks pretty crap and has odd shading same to some extent with the wing things, I couldn't figure out how to shade those properly at the time. Some oddities in the perspective. The body blends into the wings at some places.
... i like it but i have no idea what it is supposed to be
Neither do I, it was something I saw in a dream.
the first thing I saw was a vagina [editline]9th April 2011[/editline] which explains why you saw it in a dream
You must have the worlds weirdest vagina. I saw and see a desert landscaped fish with jellyfish tentacles.

what is there to comment on, I have no idea what it is
Eh, mind as well come back with something that makes more sense later in that case.
Any like, serious comments?
Contrasts. Use them. Colours. Make them nicer.
No it's still pretty bad [editline]9th April 2011[/editline] I can even see the pixels from where you cut out the plane, man did you even try?
I did try. Would you mind showing where you still see the other plane? I am just hoping to improve.
protip when cutting things out. Cut a bit on the inside of what you're cutting out. Also helpful is using "refine edges" after you've made your selection and bump up the feather to 1,0 and contrast to 30% and smoothnes to 1-3 (toy around with those settings, see what works best). Also set Shift edge to ~25/-25 (depends on what kind of selection you've made... whatever goes more on the inside of your selection)
okay uhm so it's not really a "creative work" since i haven't actually made it yet but this is a little idea i have for a leaflet type thing for this butterfly charity? the whole metamorphosis thing...
Great idea! It looks a bit fiddly to open though, maybe you could adapt this origami box pattern so that it opens up more suavely. It opens out really great.
