Can't just make a mistake and blame that some people have diproportioned bodies
Can't just make a mistake and blame that some people have diproportioned bodies
Like my buddy from school
That monster looks like its got wheels for legs...I love it.
Because WIP I know the perspective is wrong in some places [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline] Oh god I didn't even bother to draw chairs
Laid the foundation for my sculpture today. Sculpting form is a lot harder than drawing it. I'll probably have to do lot of sanding when/if I ever get this fired
Big beginners mistake is to draw the hand too small. wtf everyone does it [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline] I mean you have your hand right in front of you when drawing. Study it
I always think I draw the hands too large. Here are some drawings that do not prove my point whatsoever: [img_thumb]http://d.facdn.net/art/mysterypenguin/1285109551.mysterypenguin_hand_modeling_-_punch.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://d.facdn.net/art/mysterypenguin/1285109668.mysterypenguin_hand_modeling_-_curved.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://d.facdn.net/art/mysterypenguin/1285109766.mysterypenguin_hand_modeling_-_pistol.png[/img_thumb] I did fix the pistol fingers to be correctly aligned, but I'm too damn lazy to upload. I also know that the second picture has REALLY pointy fingers.
gnarly nails
gnarly nails
I'm bad about clipping them, so when I use my own left hand for modeling, the nails are usually longer than they should be.
How to draw a rotated box? I mean all the perspective tutorials are about drawing boxes at the same rotation. Any tips for rotating stuff?
An animated rotating box? or wut [editline]5th February 2011[/editline] your post confuses me
How to draw a rotated box? I mean all the perspective tutorials are about drawing boxes at the same rotation. Any tips for rotating stuff?
Get box in real life. Rotate. Look. Draw.
You could make one out of paper, pose it and draw it however you like? Ninja'd.
Some of my better recent work me'thinks [img_thumb]http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs1171.snc4/154388_181252301891481_181240911892620_722998_2308779_n.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4565878/facepunch/11th%20grade/chicken%20feet.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4565878/facepunch/11th%20grade/teletubby.png[/img_thumb]
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4565878/facepunch/11th%20grade/teletubby.png[/img_thumb]
This is awesome. The contrast is lovely.
That is some awesome work!
Somewhat recently started drawing in the anime style, I am aware over that it has a fuckton of anatomical flaws, but I'm by far to unexperienced to spot them myself, except for the gap being a bit to big (and quite obviously the eyes and head being fuckhuge :v:) Any critique would be highly appreciated. I couldn't care less if you dislike anime, nor will I quit with doing it. Just trying to get some critique due to the people i know barely giving any, and deviantart being completely retarded.

No Photography: Photography goes into the "Creative Photography That Doesn't Deserve A Thread" thread. 2. No MS Paint drawings: MS Paint drawings belong in the MS Paint section. It couldn't be any clearer. It's right HERE in case you missed it. 3. Give feedback This is the most important rule. The reason the art isn't posted in it's own thread is because the user feels that it's not complete enough to make one. Tell him/her why! 4. No 3D Stuff! 3D Artwork belongs in the 3D Art thread regardless of completion. 5. No Anime Unless you are or become Maya2007 in the near future. 6. No arguments about what art is and isn't
That is not a subforum rule, some blue member made that.
You'd rather see me create a separate thread for it?
Oh god no, just stop drawing anime or stop showing it off here Also quick rendering
I tried drawing for the first time in like a year last night, it was terrible to say the least.
Oh god no, just stop drawing anime or stop showing it off here Also quick rendering [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/8M9R4.png[/img_thumb]
I think you did it on purpose, but I can't stand how the chairs blend in so perfectly with everything else. They're just unnoticeable. I also rated you heart because I love the picture otherwise.
Poorly rendered
I can't wait to see it finished, looks like it's going to be pretty cool.

Face isn't great but the lighting on the helmet is superb.
Still in progress. I think I need a lot of practice with colour blending in digital work though. In fact, I know I need more practice.
