I actually didn't use any filter on the rabbit, just the brush tool.
but thank you for all the insights, I will make suitable changes :]
Oh I know, it's a beautiful piece, nice work!
I ran out of things to do in my animation class:

Impressive...well done :bravo:
Why did you only draw like five frames and then cycle them? It looks really stiff.
[QUOTE=DeanWinchester;27508820]I painted a friend using photoshop, took about 2 and a half hours:

The cheeks look flat, the eyes lack any serious value and the nose looks thrown on.
If you keep working at it I bet this can be a wonderful piece.

AP art got me workin' up a storm.
Shame most of my drawings are still at school, but I managed to sneak this one home.

First time painting. It's Commander Shepard from Mass Effect. Still WIP
His eyes are incredibly small.

I recognized him right away, not bad. You should try drawing the individual hairs of the eyebrows, once you get the technique down it's very easy and looks well-refined, compared to a thick black line. I think the ear's a little too low, or maybe the eyes are a little too high.

Because I wasn't giving half a shit.
Sounds good to me.
Seeing as everyone likes the title I think you did well.
I wish my username was in the title of a thread...
guess I'm just not good enough...

His neck is too thick.
Here's the next illustration i'm working on. It's part of a series of water-colours.
only the very basic inking is done right now.
and as you can see on my totally clean work desk i'm about to start the water-colour process.

clicking the image goes to my tumblr blog where I post finished works and works in progress. Cause i'm narcissistic and self centered like that.
Now for some history, the masks you're looking at, the one's I've illustrated are different types of masks from Tibet and influenced by Tibetan styles of art as well as from Nepal and the combined influence of both Buddhist and animistic styles of religion.
This is my first drawing that involves some serious shading, so I'd like some C&C especially on my shading, any other notes would be appreciated:

It's very flat. You need to bump the values up more (much darker shadows) and use more colour in your shading and highlighting.
How did you sketch the preliminary lineart or work out the proportions/anatomy? For portraits like this you should really be using a grid set up to get it perfect.
Reference pic?
Did some quick eye studies to go with that old digital painting I did and make it look in my portfolio like I work from pencil and then develop things further digitally or something:

I think the iris on the middle one is a bit too small. Usually the iris will touch the bottom eyelid, or at least be very close to it.
Your ignorance of my post hurts me :saddowns:

Start work on the other side of my painting.

Some face, drawn on a random piece of card I found.

A fox I drew, looks like a Kit Fox. Scanned over a once-crumpled bit of chinese newspaper, came out green for some reason. I'm happy with this.

Just doodling on a newspaper and this turned into something. It's a guy with piercings and tattoos drawn over a picture of Alastair Campbell. I like it.
Mixed media is my favorite.
I hope those are good funny ratings.
Also bonus points to anyone who recognises the shirt logo in the last pic.
pedo bear?
A shitty value study of an adapter from life.

When I don't have anything to do in school I mess around in flash, it's just mouse stuff though
