Your values study needs more values.
Your values study needs more values.
Well as you can see from the strokes I could have used transparent brushes to blend stuff but chose to blend with thin strokes. So yeah maybe a value study isn't really the most accurate description. Any other crits?
[img_thumb]http://i56.tinypic.com/2lm9mgy.png[/img_thumb] Anyone knows a good way how to colorize a grayscale image?
In photoshop a gradient map would be the best way, giving you the best control without repainting everything.
This is what happens when I get Flash and start attempting to test it: Better than anything else I can draw. :v:

Good job, brandonsh, good job.
Detlef is being quite rude lately.
Maybe, but what he says is true. [editline]10th February 2011[/editline] 3v3 wannabe?
But I do help people. People I think deserves it. [editline]10th February 2011[/editline] Maybe you guys think I'm angry all the time because of my avatar. Just a theory

WIP. Gonna add door, fences and probably more trees. And kinda add detail to everything else. Also there is something fucking wrong with the light coming from the window, can anybody show me what?
Sketch for a graphical design around the word "courage" ("mot" in Norwegian). Will be making some others. [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3655193/Sketch-MOT.png[/img_thumb] Like it? Hate it+ Any ideas for improval? Was a fucking bitch to do, having to copy paste all those triangles and group the different coloured triangles together so I could quickly change them. I'm going to mid center it. Just don't understand why it wasn't from the start. Mid point in the text box and mid point for the actual text is oh so different.
I like this a lot. I may do something in this style
Hey, so the other night I was feeling all teenage and angst-y and panic-y, so I was listening to Kerrang Radio and writing in my diary about how my life sucks when I felt an urge to do something artistic. Then I suddenly realised I had loads of paining stuff under my bed and a new A3 art pad. I proceeded to express myself at 3am using a few brushes, my hands, some acrylic and water colour paints (and no water). When I woke up the next morning I realised, unlike the night before, that I have very limited artistic ability, and even less with paints. Of the 3 pieces I shat out in those absurd 90 mins only 1 was good enough for me to even consider posting here. Then today I found out my scanner wasn't A3 and so My scanner cropped off the edges, removing some of the little atmosphere my painting had. But still, here it is: Also I did the whole painting with one brush and no water. That looks much worse than it did on paper. Damn. Oh well. C&C appreciated but on something like this is probably hard to do, since it's really just a mess.

Yeah, the more I look at it, the worse it gets. Self critique: 1. Combination of Purple Sun being IN FRONT of some of the sea (due to mis-ordered layers of paint) and the fact that the reflection doesn't line up with the actual Purple Sun. I could argue that the piece represents the downfall of X into the mess that is Y, through the great majestic (purple=royal/great) sun crashing into the chaotic ocean, but I wasn't even trying to do that. 2. As pointed out, the shadow is too calm. If I were making a story for this picture i would make up some bull sci-fi or magic thing about the effect of the strong Purple Sun light on the planets seas, but really its because the style of the painting changed majorly over time, causing some conflicts. 3. The Purple Sun is much too similar in style to the sea. Could argue some bull excuse about the piece raising the issue of reality being the reflection and the rough seas the true reality, with some signs showing through, but I won't bother. 4. The stormy clouds actually turned out better here than on paper, so at least one thing got better.
First time posting in Creationism Corner. Any kind of feedback appreciated. Note that I already know that I paint like a 12 year old and that I love to use bright and fun colors.
Detlef is being quite rude lately.
She knows what she likes. And she does help people as she says. She improved my digital painting by a mile by simply making a tutorial showing how shit my old stuff is. Speaking of which, I have another new piece i'm working on.

Holy shit someone asked me if I'd draw them something. For money! [sp]This is a big deal because I'm bad with anything other than simple, creative designs[/sp]
