Creative Work That Doesn't Deserve A Thread V6 <3v3ryb0dy Hypocrite Critiques Edition> - General

Well, my last post of the gas mask didn't get rated dumb at all, so i guess you guys don't hate my art with a pencil nearly as much as the GIMP pictures i posted in the last thread.. This one was just something i doodled up last semester in MCJROTC [IMG]http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5219/5482446585_dafa73761b_z.jpg[/IMG] This one is my attempt at drawing the Marine Corps emblem, we had to draw 10 things we like / describe us in Visual arts. [IMG]http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5299/5482451009_29035cf6c3_z.jpg[/IMG] This one is of the AK47, for those of you that remember me from the previous thread, compare it to the one i did in gimp, lol. You're unable to put even enough effort into it to draw atleast something barely resembling of a circle and unless I've been living under a rock I don't know of no AK-47 in 7.62 tokarev and metal grip. Your doodles lack any sense of depth and proportion, they're just horribly, brderline trolling guns that you saw in blackops and drew them into your sketshcbook and then proudly signed it. I have 2 still life drawings but i can't scan them onto the computer and my camera is too blurry capture the entire thing. Though i have played Call of duty before, i only draw weapons that I've actually learned about in ROTC. I'll keep my weapon drawings to myself and only post things that appeal to the community.

Duckboy you need to learn how to take criticism, detlef did nothing wrong. If anything you should be mad at 3v3rbody because his was unnecessarily harsh.

Why does a weapon look like it does? what shapes build it up? Try to think about stuff like this and you'll improve

No. Everyone who has an interest in art has potential and thus some value. This is not a professional art forum, let alone a serious one and given the average age group of this forum giving criticism in such a harsh way is only going to get negative repercussions.

Still would be nice to see the users atleast put some effort in their work or any wish to improve. I don't go to pose forum and expect to be accepted with sexposes I don't go to gaming forums and expect to be accepted when I talk about how Blackops is the best and only game ever since it's the only thing I've played I don't go to minecraft forum and ask where can I pirate it. Sure everyone can post everyhting, but that doesn't mean anyone has to like it.

^ That. Again you have to take into consideration we all start somewhere, and you have to remove your standards to properly help others improve. Proper criticism can only be made if the person applying it has an open mind.

I was just recenrly on the same level and I remember exacly how easy to make those guns were. And even I didn't think they were anything I'd ever show someone. If I see something else than guns or some shit doodled in class I can stop taking you as a troll. What is this place? whiteknight convention?

There you go again, it was easy for YOU. You are applying your standards to everything when everyone has different skill sets and learning rates. I find it easy to draw a perfectly proportioned skull with no references at an orthographic angle, but others might not.

I see you're still reading Duckboy. Just snap images of those still life drawings. Stop getting so butthurt because some people say shit about your drawings. Just suck out the essence in it that tells you what to improve on or what is wrong. Then ignore the rest. If you can't manage that then you won't manage to improve.
