Not good enough, we have to go deeper!

This is going to take forever, and more than likely look terrible in the end.
after doing my human anatomy practice i figured i would put it to work, this isn't finished, but i figured i would show my progress.
Great job. Really. I rated you winner because you improved ALOT. :golfclap:

Doing a landscape thing for class, this is a rough draft.
Whats the point in making a rough draft when practically everything in your rough draft is wrong compared to your reference?
stuff
that's all from that one vector stuff program
anyways im trying to learn how to sculpt something anatomically correct. here's day 2. I'm doing one of these a day.

wrong thread, but it looks about right
the 3d thread is pointless to me. I posted in WAYWO on Polycount but the surplus of good work drowns out critique fast.

woah, that looks great. Can you use them as models in a game?
woah, that looks great. Can you use them as models in a game?
Pretty sure they would be a little too high poly, maybe even for crytek
Great job. Really. I rated you winner because you improved ALOT. :golfclap:
Thank you, I really feel good about myself when i receive positive feedback.

If i did have to say something about this though, I think you should do a little more work in the stomach area.. I'm no expert but it kinda seems like he's sucking in his stomach.

Stomach looks weird for some reason. Also I suggest being extremely efficient in 3dsmax, maya, or whatever before doing sculpting in my opinion. Idk if you are though, I'm just guessing because zbrush will feel pretty natural after you get 3dsmax mastered.

So the good copy doesn't look like shit.
So the good copy doesn't look like shit.
But the draft would be a waste of time and effort
the 3d thread is pointless to me. I posted in WAYWO on Polycount but the surplus of good work drowns out critique fast.
The WAYWO thread is pretty much just for showing off stuff.
If you want critique you should create a thread or a digital sketchbook.

I have mastered max. Zbrush isn't really natural from maya or max but it's easy to learn through the zclassroom.

I should do a sketchbook, you're right.
lol art dump
Because i'm a giant fucking tease:

been working on a ton of water colors lately
pretty glad cause i'm actually finding my very own style of illustration
people usually see art and say 'hey that looks like (insert famous artist)' but people are beginning to be more like 'hey that looks like JC painted it!'
and i'm like. chyeah.
I'll be making a thread about this when i'm done with all of these
also that big clump of colors at the end there used to be this :
which i posted earlier but now it is

I take my influence from Tibetan masks
It isn't done yet, none of them are. but yeah, no big deal.
All of these are done from imagination, no references.
OFFTOPIC:
Our school usually places art work everywhere and we have these giant exhibition boards that go around the school.
I have one whole-ly dedicated to me displaying art work since freshman year

unassociated :

cafe owner who i'm chill with and owns his tiny little cafe all by himself wanted little printouts of his macaron selection so i whipped him up somethin

cbf more effort!!
[editline]3rd March 2011[/editline]
i think it could use a nice swirly border actually
So the good copy doesn't look like shit.
Yea your right, that's what rough drafts are for. However the one you drew is so fucked up almost everything about it is wrong, even the basic core parts are fucked up (for example the fence isn't even angled remotely correct). I dont mean to be ragin on you about this, but if you seriously think that "rough draft" is going to help you, then you are fooling yourself. For my rough draft on my next composition I might as well poop all over the paper.
pic and words
Dem pictures are pretty kickin rad. I wish my school knew what an art was.
rusty try a swirly border on two opposite corners
[editline]2nd March 2011[/editline]
btw it looks good but I think the text could be spiced up somewhat
like some greater variation than just bold/no bold
actually theres bold regular then non bold fancy italic
[editline]3rd March 2011[/editline]
and that is a good idea with the corners thing
i might also remove the red logo
just write it in a big font
my first digital "art" :buddy:, it was pretty fun, might buy a tablet for stuff like this.
It looked better on paper when I drew it last year.
