ye
uh quite some proportion issues there
well could you show me i'd appreciate it :)
I'm so frustrated that I can't making anything as good as most of the stuff on here. I love graphic design and want to major in it in college hopefully but everything I make either looks like shit, I don't finish or am unable to do because of my shit computer and lack of drawing abilities and resources. I hate myself.
the size of the heads was the first thing i noticed. they are far too small and low set

I know it isn't but I also loved to draw as a kid. But as I got older, my ability kind of stayed the same. I can't draw worth shit and believe me, I've tried so hard. Drawing used to be my favorite thing to do and I was damn good at it for my age at the time.

i thought it was alright but i guess you're right i think you're right though i think
but i always thought it was 8 heads tall 2 heads wide
It doesn't mean that you'll draw better with a better tablet that's for sure.
But having a bigger one has it's advantages, just don't get like a gigantic one, that's really unnecessary.
How big is the one you have now?
My current tablet has a drawing area of 5 inches x 3.65 inches which seems kind of tiny compared to the medium intuos4's 8.8 inch x 5.5 inch drawing area. I know a fancier tablet won't magically improve my drawing ability, I just want a more comfortable space, if that makes sense.
I think I am more suited for Graphic Design but I still hate myself for it sometimes.
I've been working on this for a magazine for a little bit on Friday night and a little Saturday morning.
I was inspired by my friend who is studying Graphic Design in college.

I decided to base it off Valve and some of their interesting games (I say interesting because I'm putting Ricochet in there). I plan on making this a very long project if I can keep myself doing it. I think I'll keep it up because of how diverse I want the magazine to be.
Any advice on how to do something like this?

Pages aren't in order. The outline isn't finished either which is probably something I should do right away so I have something to follow. Might do that tomorrow.
I'm still iffy on the half tone I used.
Any advice is welcome.
So uh guys, I have a perhaps dumb question to ask, because I have no idea.
Are "pointy" heads always bad or is it acceptable for anime drawings? My guess that it's the art style that matters on how these things are shaped, but I would like to hear other opinions.
Pointy heads always looks bad. Slightly pointy heads can work out if done thouroughly and matches the style.
But you won't be able to do pointy heads well if you don't know how to make real heads. Or, well of course you can learn how to perfect pointy heads, but you will lack knowledge in how to make any other shape.
I see, thanks for enlightening me.

The knowledge you need to do Graphic design is close to that of drawing with it's own things here and there of course. And it's useful to know how to draw in order to make illustrations for the design.

if you keep making pointy heads then you won't be able to make square heads

Don't bash yourself so much. It's no wonder you lose interest with an attitude like that. I'm sure you could finish something if you just keep your head up.

I've only had this mood as of this weekend. Thats what spurred me to do this project to prove to myself I can make something great.

fire kracker those were nicely done!
You should learn how to paint proper before you go off and do your blurry, undefined artsy robot shit.
And mouth is done. Might lighten up the glisten on the black areas some, and redo the teeth. Not sure just yet. But if anything, it's a start.

You spend far too much time on it, that and the tones ou use makes it look muddy and stale and stagenant.
I look at a tiger roaring, it's sposed to be epic and grande and wild but I've seen types of moss that can express more energy and power than your painting.

I fixed the crookedness afterwards.
horrible use of paper space.
that looks really awful
why did you do it?
to kill myself
alright!!
Green light from me as well.

How the fuck do I paint? I accidently postprocessed some tones into blue edition!

I thought it looks fine. Is he going for a Roaring Tiger? I think it looks more like its growling to intimidate something. Especially with the muscles in the snout.

Something I did in high school art class.
Watercolor on cotton paper/canvas.
I legimately like it.
