I'm still working on this shitty thing. [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14329594/Untaddaitled.jpeg[/img_thumb]
Still didn't draw on that beanie

Iunno I like it.
I always feel bad walking in to these threads. I see all these awesome pictures, and then realize that as much of an artist in the fields of drawing and graphic design I want to be, I will never be good at it. I've tried numerous times to make something good, and always do terrible. The only form of 'art' I can do is play the drums, and I can barely do that well. That aside, carry on drawing/designing awesome things. I'll be watching.

If you really like what you do and you want to get better, the solution is practice, practice, and more practice. Also don't give up just yet, mistakes are good because that's how you learn; and do not be ashamed of failure. Skill = Time x Effort
do it every day dude

I hate surprise deadlines -_- Had to slap together the shittiest possible background for the tiger for STLP (which I've won 1st in state everything I've entered, its pitiful really, because my stuff is sub-par) Going to media-tag it: [IMG_Thumb]http://i53.tinypic.com/sctjm8.jpg[/IMG_Thumb] But anyway, ignoring that horrendous shit, I need some suggestions for a background that will fit, without detracting. I'd like to get something right with this thing.

I can't really explain why but it seems like the Green mixed with black doesn't go well at all. I think it would look really good if there was allot more green and no black in the background, and i'm not too fond of the reflection either, but i like simple things so i guess this doesn't mean much.

But like I said, this whole background is going away, this was just for the sake of an entry deadline (that I just found out about today, and turned out it was today). So view the background and a blank slate at this point.

Whatever happened to Daolpu, I love that guy.
Still learning [img_thumb]http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/8253/gourd.png[/img_thumb] Suggestions?
Try adding some new colors, instead of using only a lighter version or darker version of a color.
If I don't have a scanner, how do I at least take good pictures with a camera of any work? I'm guessing flourescent lighting?
loadsalights (doesn't really matter what kind as long as you don't get nasty flickering, just make sure your drawing is nicely and brightly lit), angle the camera as flat to the drawing as you can, use flash only if it produces no nasty reflections, best use a soft light source, then in photoshop crop it and use auto tone or just use curves till you have white whites and black blacks (lol) and nice color balance; basically post process it so it looks nice, resize to about 800-1100 width, keep proportions obviously, save as jpeg, quality 10 to 12, upload, post. As long as you light it nicely it doesn't really matter what you shoot it with, provided it's not a bad phone camera.
Boredom + Isometric grid = :byodood:
That would make an awesome tattoo.

Use bigger brushes. [editline]8th March 2011[/editline] And study anatomy/proportions. [editline]8th March 2011[/editline] Seriously the shoulder/bicep/tricep area is mental.
I don't see a problem with the style, just the anatomy.
Very dry, no atmosphere, no texture, no depth.
Very dry, no atmosphere, no texture, no depth.
It all depends on what you are going for
