I'm incredebly suspicious of that due to the fact that it is not downsized. And never let photoshop or even don't use the ink droplet to get colours from the image, mix all them yourself. I'm seriously suspecting a trace or filterrape or some stuff.
It took me a day to do, i used a relatively small brush Original photo Like i sad, it wasn't a skill heavy thing, it was just labor intensive
There was no skill involved and you're a cretine for presenting it as a panting rather than a manually done filterrape. It's no painting, there's no skill involved, you only wasted time and you should be ashamed of yourself. Even xerphios paintings are lightyears better than that one shit you showed us, cause xephio does his own stuff from his own head based on how good he can not like you who lets a program do it for themselves so they can get all the credit.

To trick people into thinking you can paint. Xephio: Don't do tutorials then, just keep them open when you paint your next thing and try and apply them to your painting. [editline]9th March 2011[/editline]
My real point was about doing it with a small brush instead of a big one like chesty said.
Stop talking about things you have no fucking idea of. Right now what you're triyng to do is yelling at the scientist and telling them how to build a fusion reactor.
you probably should have mentioned that it was traced or something

cool. you should actually use them!
Well, I painted someone using a halfassed method using the colors from the layer below?
there we go
In all good honesty there wasnt much skill involved, it automatically took the colors from the layer below
welp nevermind uninstall photoshop and go shop around for a pencil or something.
Whoa whoa, now i didn't say i didn't have any skill, but the only show for the brushes took little skill, just really repetitive and tedious to actually color that in and have it look right. My apologies for not being 100% clear

[editline]9th March 2011[/editline] In other words it looks like you used the mixer brush [editline]9th March 2011[/editline] OH, just saw the video you did use mixer brush. That's not painting you do know. It just changes it's colour continuously to match what you're drawing over. In other words your work required NO-skill. And most artists here will see it as filters disguised as a brush.

When before it had somewhere going then when you added the update you ruined the whole thing thanks to bad knowledge of anatomy. Use reference images when you are behind a computer. To answer your question on the first image then there goes pectoralis major, which is a p.important muscle plastical anatomy wise. that peg thingy. Also your image looks very flat, that is an issue of perspective. If you encounter such problem, redefine the planes of land into basic shapes and align them with perspective. Right now it's so skewed it's not even funny. [editline]9th March 2011[/editline] Buy yourself an anatomy book, it's quite an useful resource. I can draw anuses all day erry day thanks to that.
This very thread inspired me to take out my dusty old wacom tablet that I've never really used and try to actually draw something. It's my first digital "painting" ever. Took me like 4 god damn hours. I had to get used to using a tablet and using photoshop and everything. Most of the time I just had now idea what I was really doing or supposed to do. Though, I'm pretty pleased with it.
Some shit I threw on my mirror blackboards and a sketch I did before todays meeting. I just realised how damn stiff the pose is and how short the legs are, but that's prolly the least of my problems. Working on a poster for Oceans Twelve Curious if anybody can see the roman numerals X (negative space of the two E's) and the two I's on the outside. Should I move the tagline to make the X clearer? Any other critiques?
I don't like the round corners
For god's sake use bigger brushes!
Yea I should probably smoothen it up. I really didn't know shit about shading in digital painting so I just painted like with a pencil. It doesn't really work that way, though.
no no smoothing just big brushes on 100% opacity
no no smoothing just big brushes on 100% opacity
Ok, what would be a good flow to use?
