Finally got my carpet installed today, on my way to a finished bedroom finally, still a load to do and a lot of things to design.
I love the paint material.
wha what?
I love the paint material.
It's a picture.
It's a picture.
His statement still stands. The paint you used is a nice colour and a nice texture. or at least it looks that way judging by the picture.

first try at portrait drawings ref: i know that proportions are off the charts, shading and, well pretty much everything else looks weird couldnt find even the simplest how-to-draw-a-face-tutorial Anyone care to suggest me one! D:
Upper lip is too big and the droopy shape of the left eye (his left) is wrong - your portrait kinda looks like the guy just has different shaped eyes, rather than one upper eyelid being slightly droopy.

D:
You shouldn't paint with a brush with low opacity
You shouldn't paint with a brush with low opacity
How the hell did you even know i used low opacity brush! i did but like just for a few little spots. Anyways i though low opacity was required when drawing human skin?
You use almost pure black on low opacity to shade right? that makes the values look messy, choose the actual value it's gonna be
I actually use both I use the actual value with low opacity Actually, pressure sensitive opacity.
Guys Guys I- GUYS! I need some help. In our next school project I'm gonna do concept art. I have to choose a concept and I have no idea what to choose. It can be a movie that could be remade, or maybe a comic that hasn't turned into a movie yet, there's so many things to pick and I really have no idea. But it have to be cool. Any suggestions?
you should make aliens because concepts of aliens are always cool
Live-action Pokémon film.
....That's actually a good idea
[img_thumb]http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/073/8/5/portret_by_infernomonster-d3bmfc6.jpg[/img_thumb] Did a portrait yesterday. Reference image was such:[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/182842_134303893303289_100001710373409_203222_7144001_n.jpg[/img_thumb] The paper was just really really horrible, bought new today. Used a grid and then some other tricks to get it look even a bit alike. [editline]14th March 2011[/editline] fixed the lump on forehead and made pupils darker. Different hardness pencils act randomly on this paper. Such is quality in soviet russia.
oh god am i late. Something people forgot to mention, her pupils/iris/part of the eye that's not white, is way too big. Take a look at the original picture. Also, making the pupils darker isn't gonna do you much good. Look at the picture, you can barely tell the difference between the pupil and the iris.
I actually use both I use the actual value with low opacity Actually, pressure sensitive opacity.
^^ this is how you get nice, realistic shading It's not applicable to all styles of painting and it takes a lot longer than other methods, but you get damn nice results, especially in terms of realism. Detlef's "USE 100% OPACITY AT ALL TIMES" [paraphrasing hyperbole may be present] is not true.
Did some finish touches on her hair. <- pressure sensitive opacity brush I am now done with her head.
