Interesting perspective you've got there, son.
For a drawing that is heavily relying on and showcasing perspective, it sure doesn't have much of it.

oh sweet jesus is that black child on fire
Maya, I liked it more when it was cropped to the upper body only. The tail just looks wrong somehow.
Yeah with a tail like that on the ground she would just be flopping around ungracefully

I hate it when people break words over several lines because it looks like cult ural dive rsity which makes no sense. Other than that nice drawing! I like the flaming black kid
i like your style, k00lwhip

For my mat painting class at uni, doing Adv Diploma in games development, pretty much what we're doing in the mat painting class at the moment is making our own scenery, what we do is sketch out the form of terain, add some sketches of a futuristic building and adding it when the terain, then we find stock photo's and edit them on so the lighting is correct and the perspective.
Still need to fix up clouds, fix up some of the mountains, make the ship less orthographic, but I'll probably swap that with a floating city. Also going to have a silouette of a guy holding a spear on the mountain ridge looking up the ship/city.
If they try and make me do that at university next year I'm going to hit someone.
It's just the second friday class, no idea what he's trying to teach us.
It is a challenge though that we're given 4 weeks to make a high def model in zbrush when we've got shitloads of other assignments to do during our free time and other classes.
Just thought I'd post it because it's easy as shit
That task makes me glad I'm going to work mostly with traditional mediums.
The trees are kind of big, look at them compared to the mountain. Also looking at your level of drawing skill I would suggest just using stock photographs until you have practiced/understood basic digital painting/drawing techniques.

Heads is at an angle; face is straight on. Eyes are not at a right angle to face centre line. Ears need to be higher (in line with a correct eye line). Also shoulders and neck appear too small.
I'll scan the Hawke drawing later instead of take a photo
I understand what you guys mean, and looking at the drawing right here the problems are not as apparent as on the pic
[editline]19th March 2011[/editline]
oh haha it seems like he has midget arms on the photo
cant wait to scan it
I don't understand how taking a photo has made it seem like your character has a giant head and tiny everything else. Sure you might get some perspective errors from taking a photo, but nothing that bad... unless for some reason you decided to take your picture standing 2ft away from your drawing.

I think i'm just going to start posting random ass sketches and crap.

the entire problem is caused by the break in the line of the upper arm on the bottom right of the picture- it makes your mind think the elbow is there when on the drawing there is a lot more to go until the elbow
