I smoke weed regularly, don't see anything why I would brag about it, but most people often think I brag when like for example I play TF2 and write - Stoned after my name to signify that I won't be in my best performance. Weed is not cool weed is chill. Cocaine on the other hand is cool shit.

I'm getting the feeling a lot of you guys misunderstand the point made in the OP. I think the point in the OP was that it's not wrong or bad to smoke weed, but that you don't have to go tell everyone how you smoke weed etc., which is what happens in a lot of the threads on Facepunch. But that might be just me.

I agree with you in some ways, it would be nice if we could discuss partying and drinking without weed or other illiegal drugs coming into it for once.

I recognize that psychedelics like LSD, DMT, mescaline, and psilocybin can all result in profound life-changing experiences, but I also recognize that you can just trip and chill with a close group of friends for nothing other than the enjoyment of the trip. Yes, drugs can be valuable tools for introspection and self-improvement.. they can also be tools used for enjoyment and entertainment, pain relief, self-medicating and as a form of escapism - there is no right way to use a drug.. like I already said, drugs are just drugs; they have any inherent qualities outside of the very narrow parameters of the definition - a drug is just a chemical that alters normal bodily (mental and physical) functions. When it comes to any controversial topic, understanding the opponents side is best because they may have some valid points. But when you evaluate the opponents side and find not a lot of what they are saying doesn't make sense, and they don't seem to accept facts, then there is obviously something not being understood. If there is a large amount of evidence pointing one way, and you say the opposite there is a lapse in your argument, your opinion isn't valid. I can see how you think that people are addicted to weed, just as many mothers believe their child is addicted to video games. I can see how it would be annoying to have everyone talking about something you don't like. Just like as though there is some new trend that people can't shut up about. To you, it is dumb, pointless, and doesn't deserve so much attention. It's understandable. It's similar to how I felt when in high school when people didn't stop talking about 4chan. But the whole argument revolves around you. You don't want people to talk about weed because you aren't interested in it. Should others keep their thoughts to themselves because it just so happens to bug you? Weed is just like anything else. If it wasn't weed, it would be bragging about sex, how drunk they got, a nonstop talk of video games, bands, other trends, any of which would someone off if they heard enough talk about it and didn't like it.
