But what about Things, daddy?
You have to pay for post-it notes and notepads, genius.
You have to pay for post-it notes and notepads, genius.
Then what about TextEdit, daddy? Do I save money that way?
stop posting.
I'm the one making valid points. He's the one saying that post-it notes and notepads are free in comparison to a paid program. [editline]22nd May 2011[/editline]
Then what about TextEdit, daddy? Do I save money that way?
Well you don't pay extra for it, do you?
He's the one saying that post-it notes and notepads are free in comparison to a paid program.
Touché.
Well you don't pay extra for it, do you?
So can I ask what makes something worth paying for? Do you have a few examples?
I've taken over writing the API from compwhizii. Beta testers who provided excellent feedback will receive a complimentary copy. I'll contact these once we're in the store and provide them with promo codes. I only have two users in mind for this. And use 10x the mobile data, and take much more time to navigate.
I'm sure I'm one of these two :buddy: ...:ohdear:
2 questions: Will people who post with this app get a fancy icon on the bottom left? Will you have an annoying message on every page like on every Tapatalk forum?
iPad loads APNGs I think, but I think they stop running when you move the page around and resume when it stops
iPad loads APNGs I think, but I think they stop running when you move the page around and resume when it stops
I don't think it does.
iPad loads APNGs I think, but I think they stop running when you move the page around and resume when it stops
aPNG is only viewable in Firefox, webkit and all other browsers based on it do not have support.
aw man... I thought it'd been approved already :smith:
2 questions: Will people who post with this app get a fancy icon on the bottom left? Will you have an annoying message on every page like on every Tapatalk forum?
Annoying message? I've only used Tapatalk briefly to see how they did their UI, explain?
Wait this is how long it takes you to load.. It takes me the amount of time you posted for the app..
Via GPRS? GPRS is when you get the little dot instead of the 3G symbol, and is equivalent to dial-up in speed...
Hexxeh your video doesn't really prove much considering it's done on a simulator
Fair point, I know the simulator has more memory and a faster CPU. The video is roughly equivalent to the speed you'd get on an iPhone 4. Older generation devices are slightly slower, but then again, Safari was slower on those too. Just for anyone making comparison between the app and a browser, the app isn't a browser by any means. We don't use a UIWebView, it's a totally native app using native UI elements.
Looks very nice, but the paid upgrade is kind of off putting.
maybe 2 weeks worth of actual work over a span of 9 months.
FWIW:
Argh, got literally, NO money at all, so I can't get this. :saddowns:
FWIW:
There's 24 distinct dates there, so 3 and a bit weeks of work over nine months.
There's 24 distinct dates there, so 3 and a bit weeks of work over nine months.
I did pretty large chunks of work and then checked in once the feature was complete, those are just the days I checked in on. I abuse Git in this manner.
I might buy it if I ever buy an iPhone.
IOS isn't just on the iPhone [editline]22nd May 2011[/editline] Also when u post a comment of the IOS app will it say anything like "this comment has been sent from a phone"

Posts from the app show with custom "browser" icons now.
Posts from the app show with custom "browser" icons now.
looks like it isn't working just yet
looks like it isn't working just yet
I think they're cached for non-mods or something so it might take a while to show up for everyone.
Test post from iPhone via app.
Fuck you made me think the app was out So how do media tags work in-app? Is there still the media box you tap on?
There's 24 distinct dates there, so 3 and a bit weeks of work over nine months.
Sorry, where's your app?
Been talking to some Appcelerator folk, when I started writing this I was told that multiple-context applications were the way to go. It appears thanks to a number of changes in the Appcelerator SDK, this is no longer the case. I've just heavily restructured the application to use a single-context and it's now even faster! If we get rejected I'll ship this as our initial version if not I'll submit it as an update.
