Hexxeh, you should really think about using the wonderful free retina tab bar icons from The Working Group I found the other day. http://blog.twg.ca/2010/11/retina-display-icon-set/
I did a lazy Photoshop to change some of them to demonstrate. I didn't bother to change the bubble (but, if you look at the link, I like the megaphone icon for that one) because of the extensive layer styles work I'd have to do. I did a bit of modifying to the book icon because it looked a bit plain on its own. Do what you will, this was just a 5-minute Photoshop to make my point.

Facepunch loads in about 2 seconds for me on my PC, and in about 7 on my iPod Touch 2G.

Also note that I was doing cold refreshes without the cache - as a result it's forced to download the images again, hence what you might be seeing as long load times - I can refresh FP in a couple of seconds too, but if I do CTRL+F5 (pretty sure it's ctrl in browsers other than chrome too) it takes considerably longer due to it having to grab the images again.
If I do SHIFT+F5 is loads in less than 3 seconds.
If I do SHIFT+F5 is loads in less than 3 seconds.
I believe it is CTRL + F5

But there's not really a point to benchmarking cold refreshes, because that's not something you ever have to deal with during regular operation.
Oh by the way if anyone can post details of what they think might be a plausible attack on the DRM and I think your idea could work I'll throw you a copy of the binary so you can try your ideas out.
Give me a copy of the binary, but don't give my account access. I'd like to try something.
Oh, okay. That was quick, I deleted my post like 10 seconds after submitting it. Are you a ninja?
Indeed I am.

Takes me about 2 minutes on my EDGE connection without the cache. 15 seconds with it.
Android has really good caching.
one problem with the app is that you can post in ddt threads, which i prove and got a 12 hour for
Is the app out yet?

Why does it take apple so god damn long
Why does it take apple so god damn long
They are making the icon shiny.
Jokes a side they do have strict reviews etc. Stops the app store getting clogged up with crap.

They probably get 31231728392841794536768374981729864.2 application submissions per second.

like fart apps
No, fart apps are insta accept
Some of the apps on the app store are utter advert/porno shit. Gah cant a decent app be accepted!
Currently no, still thinking of a streamlined way to show this. Popping an entirely new window for it seems clumsy.
Why not show the highest awarded rating in the area to the right with a button to show the rest of the ratings?
Why not show the highest awarded rating in the area to the right with a button to show the rest of the ratings?
Or just tapping on the rating shows it

A few pages ago you said that the app would be Uncrackable, but what if i just patch the application to use my own API-Key, FP would never check if the account is registered with FP mobile right ?

That's somewhat similar to my idea, but Hexxeh hasn't responded. There's a simple fix too.
