So if someone pirates the app and logs in they get perma-banned?
I notice you didn't specify that anywhere.
No, it's just impossible to pirate it. The app is free, it's your account you need to pay to upgrade.
Prove the performance? Sure, I'm uploading a video now. If you did the same demo I'm about to over GPRS the difference in speed between Safari and FPiOS would be even more gigantic. I'd do the demo on GPRS but it's difficult to record videos on a physical device.
If you want to put some egg on my face and actually prove you used the application even after I've proved how fast it is, post who let you use the application. Don't worry, I won't take any action against either or you, I'm just genuinely curious as to whether you really used the application.
And why won't you let me see for myself? You didn't seem to mind letting me when you had terms on the table, why'd you take it off the table when I called your terms out on being stupid? If your app really is as good as you're saying and I go use it, then come report back that I was wrong, that's GOOD publicity for you.
What, are you worried that I'm going to lie about it? If it genuinely is good and I'm lying the rest of the testers would vouch for you. I also wouldn't make the claim without posting a video of my own to show you MY comparisons.
Why not just enable tapatalk on the forums.
It makes a lot more sense than having a completely separate app. The only benefit of this seems to be ratings, so not really worth it. Tapatalk is also half the price and works on other forums as well.

If we're going to have our own app we might as well have one that's personally updated and maintained by a member of the forum rather than a third party. Plus the app is already made, no point in halting production this far along.

Because at the moment your opinions hold no more weight than anyone else on here who hasn't tried it and doesn't think it's worth $5. Either you can call my bluff and prove you used it, or you can wait for the free trial.

Ratings, popular threads, the fact we (garry) don't want to make Tapatalk more money.
Things like the Event Log and Ticker will eventually be supported too.

how about a mobile template/layout/stylesheet?
how about a mobile template/layout/stylesheet?
Even that isn't ideal, MobileSafari's caching is very broken (either that or super limited, it depends on what version of iOS you're on).
does iphone have any 3rd party browsers like android does?
Because every single word that I've posted has been acknowledged, why try to call me out on something the other side is doing too? I'm not avoiding it, there's no reason for it. You're a piece of shit. I met you in real life a bunch of times, and you stink like horse piss.
I don't have to prove I met you in real life. You have to prove you don't smell like horse piss. Ready? 1..2..3..GO!

My opinions might not, but what about the rest of the argument that was based off of facts instead of my opinions? Would it REALLY be such an inconvenience to you to pretty much have a skeptic say they're wrong and you're right?

All the people who have actually used the application have practically sung it's praises. Here's a sample of the feedback:
BANNED USER - “Very well made app, simple and easy to use interface with everything you need neatly tucked away, and when it’s in use it’s large enough to select what you need to but small enough not to take up the whole screen. Very low amount of bugs or glitches, which makes this a very well put together app.”
:awesome: - “The Facepunch for iPhone application is probably one of the most well-made applications I’ve ever used for my iPod Touch. Not only can it smoothly browse the forums, it also sports a great user interface and some excellent features. It is, in my opinion, a Facepunch user’s best friend. Not only has the application been spectacular, but so had the support. After reporting a bug I would usually expect it to be removed in a few months or whenever the developer could be bothered, but Liam blew that idea out of the water with fast updates and support along the whole path.”
Pocoyo - “Facepunch for iPhone was designed to compact content of online community Facepunch while maintaining ease of use and functionality, Hexxeh was able to design a clear interface while maintaining speed. The application tremendously easy to use, especially for me during commute, which focus on one hand and low data usage. Through quick responses to bug fixes and well thought out implementations, I believe Hexxeh has made a very solid application.”

How could you have met me if you've never left your house? It's your room that smells like horse piss, why don't you get away from your computer and clean up once in a while?

Is this an admission that you lied about having used the application? It sounds like it's leaning that way.

I can go onto a website and buy something with 5,000 positive reviews. Doesn't mean it isn't susceptible to breaking on it's own accord.
The both of you are descending into flaming, stop it or you'll both be banned.
He wasn't actually insulting you, he's just giving a similar situation and saying that the onus is on you to prove it, rather than me prove you wrong.

Many of the beta users were skeptics. I specifically chose some a group of them because they were skeptics to see how they'd react. How would you reviewing it be any different?

That's not proof. If you expect people to believe you and spend time around you, how can you not even prove you don't reek of horse piss?
I'm not saying your posts are pointless. I'm just saying you should prove to us you don't shower in horse urine before claiming you don't stink.
Is this an admission that you lied about having used the application? It sounds like it's leaning that way.
Note the words pretty much, no I'm not admitting that I never used it. I'm also not saying that I have used it. I'm saying that I've brought up valid points that haven't exactly been shot down, and I know for a fact that the one time that I did use it, it was slow and buggy. Again, if I'm wrong, I'll come right out and say that I'm wrong. Hell, I'll buy myself a tile saying that I was wrong. But until I see that it's different from the last time I used it, I'm holding my ground
does iphone have any 3rd party browsers like android does?
Yes, but they all use the same rendering engine. Other than Opera, which renders pages on their servers and sends down images, but that doesn't work so well for JS-heavy sites (ratings etc).
ITT: Arguement over $5

What.
inb4 garry makes the forum load a mobile version for phones like some forums already do
~for free~

"its cheap thus you cant give criticisms"
im not talking specifically about Bigby Wolf just in general
ITT: Arguement over $5
Argument over the principle of paying $X for something not worth $X. It doesn't matter what X is, if the product isn't worth $X, you shouldn't have to pay $X.
Maybe just allow a 24 hour 'upgrade' trial seeing as it's account based?. Stops all this and someone who is unsure can make up their mind.

He's getting a cut of the profits on this, why would he.
garry and Gwilty were also in the beta programme, by the way.
It matters what $x is when it's under $10

Yup, I've explained there'll be a trial, undecided as to length yet, probably a few days.
What.
When I said
to pretty much have a skeptic say they're wrong and you're right?
I wasn't saying that I had, or hadn't used the app.

"Not worth it" is subjective. Only made less credible by the fact that you have not tried the product.
