I think if people say they don't like being sober, that's just an excuse to do drugs. I think people just don't know what it's like to be sober after doing drugs for so long. Don't get me wrong I love to be under the influence of whatever just as much as the next guy, but people need to know when to take a break. It's nice being able to have legitimate fun and enjoy life and do enjoyable activities that doesn't involve weed or pills or hallucinogens or whatever. I took a 2 month break in this past summer. I feel like I should take another break soon.. maybe :v: [sp]probably not[/sp]
It IS nice to enjoy being sober, there's no denying that. I just can't fucking do it anymore, not where I am in my life right now, and with that being said, weed doesn't inhibit anything I'm doing because I smoke so frequently I'm "used" to it I guess would be the easiest way of explaining. Also no it's not "an excuse to do drugs" It's an excuse or rather another way of saying some people are such emotional wrecks that they don't want sobriety to come about and remind them why they're so miserable. Also as far as using your best judgement, I meant, don't get too fucked up if you need to drive somewhere in the first place, that's what I meant not the idiotic, "well lets see how fucked up I get, and then see if I can drive."
but havent you broken rule number 2 by taking a lot of a certain benzo that I have forgotten the name of?
I have broken that rule more times than I can count, that's exactly why I need it to be a rule. Rules shouldn't be convenient statements about what you think about your drug use, but rather guidelines that can be difficult to follow so that they don't become pointless.
My only rules is know what you're doing and respect your limits. Never let your drug use burden the people around you. Informed and responsible poly-drug use/abuse FTW Now lets fry balls
rule #1: everything is rule #1
The rules I've been making for myself throughout the years; Never do drugs - broken Never smoke on a regulare basis - broken Never try anything besides weed - broken "Try it just once" - oh boy, broken Never experiment with drugs - broken Pretty much all of my rules have been broken, and I'm fine about it.
1. Don't get caught. 2. Set strict, well-defined limits before using any addictive substances. If dependence occurs, taper off then totally abstain for a set amount of time. 3. Always look up potential drug interactions before taking any combination, even if it seems harmless. 4. Never take an unknown dose of anything. (Lack of accuracy due to cutting is inevitable for certain drugs; just do the best "measurement" possible under those circumstances.) 5. When outside of the house, only break one law at a time. Never speed with drugs in the car. 6. Never take anything neurotoxic or cardiotoxic. (in doses sufficient to induce toxicity) 7. Always have a sitter when using a potentially dangerous drug or combination, especially the first time. 8. Avoid taking drugs without the proper set and setting. 9. No stimulants after 8PM. (I break this quite a bit...) 10. Never use IV drugs recreationally, except for pharmaceuticals specifically intended for injection. 11. Before giving drugs to someone, always always ALWAYS ask what other medications they take. 12. When using potentially dangerous drugs, write down all information that could be relevant in case of medical emergency -- name of the drug(s), dose amount(s), the time it was taken, potential complications, suggested treatment, any chronic medical conditions, and all allergies. 13. Don't use research chemicals too often. 14. Be careful. 15. Don't wear kitty ears when carrying drugs. Keep a low profile. (broken :3) 16. Never Carry More Than You Can Eat. (broken a few times, but this nearly saved me once) 17. When carrying more than can be eaten, like after buying in bulk, make damn sure that it's well-hidden. 18. Don't carry drugs while on drugs. Hide the main supply well, before getting high. 19. Never take a random chemical powder/crystal/pill/etc. without first verifying its identity, preferably with a chemical test. Especially "MDMA." This does not necessarily apply for well-trusted sources. 20. Do not get high on opioids more than once every two weeks. (might decrease to one week depending on how tolerance works for me, but the trial period will be of a defined time and tolerance will be objectively measured) 21. In general, try to keep a low tolerance for everything. Tolerance wastes drugs, and drugs are expensive. :o 22. Don't die. 23. Be careful with very high doses of benzodiazepines. If you're going to go out in public, have someone with you to make sure that you don't get naked and run into the police station screaming. Preferred routes of administration: Transdermal > Sublingual(transmucosal) > oral > rectal > nasal > smoking > stop right now what the fuck are you doing > intramuscular injection > serious reevaluation of life and choices > intravenous injection > hitler rape > intracavernous injection
After this years 4/20 and after considering some of the other rules that have been posted here, observations on some of mine and some that I flat out have broke or in hindsight seemed a bit daft; this is my amended list: 1. Employ common sense at all times. Rule 1 applies when a specific rule does not cover a situation 2. When common sense becomes distorted, err on the side of caution 3. Don't get caught 4. Don't follow up addictive behaviour; if the signs are there, take a T-Break/ Abstain. Credit to Memnoth. 5. Be responsible and respectful to myself and others around me while altered 6. Accept and acknowledge responsibility for the consequences of my personal drug use 7. Recognize that I can face prison time if I am caught. Risk comes with the reward 8. Do my research ahead of time so I can make an informed choice 9. Never take a random powder, blotter or pill without first verifying its identity, preferably with a chemical test. Credit to AaronTAB 10. No Needles, For Any Reason, EVER 11. Know my limits and when enough Is enough 12. Don't be afraid or embarrassed to say no, they will respect you more for it 13. If the first time experiencing a new drug of any kind, get an informed trip sitter/ companion 14. Keep an open mind but don't take risks that contradict Rule 1 15. Use in moderation and do not let it impact my life in a negative way 16. Let the experiences enhance my mind and life, not replace and numb it 17. If I don't have spare cash for clothes, food, bills. I definitely don't have it for drugs 18. Don't carry drugs while on drugs. Credit to AaronTAB 19. Never publicly or privately explicitly state how much, what kinds or even at all what drugs I take to people who don't partake in our circles after school specials 20. Share and share alike in group settings. Someone provides for you, you provide in turn. 21. Never spark up while at my Dad's home. 22. Don't Die Broke these two since circumstances changed and I realised this, while safe was kinda limiting and rules made out of anxiety and overbearing caution. Rule 1 handles these two situations where needed. [del]16. Never carry, share or consume in a public or unfamiliar setting or be with people who are[/del] [del]17. Never stockpile more than I wish to consume for a particular session[/del]
1. Smoke as much meth as possible 2. Smoke in class, at church, at weddings, at the police station, at the white house, etc. 3. Use needles as much as possible, reuse up to 12 times to save money 4. Sharing is caring, so spread those needles around and never pass up a needle given to you 5. Never hide your stash, ever heard of hiding things in plain sight? 6. Never be sober 7. Always carry meth on your person, at all times, in large quantities 8. Give drugs to children 9. Never be seen without clothes with rasta colors, pictures of drugs or drug references on them 10. Smoke meth every day
