getting paid tomorrow, considering hitting the sr up for some psychedelics
how safe is this? should I use pgp key encryption when giving my address?
Disable javascript in tor browser, keep it updated, and you're fine unless you have some sort of sophisticated malware (you don't).
Use PGP if you know how to use it and the vendor is cool with it, some aren't. It's not a necessity just an extra blanket of security.
Also order domestic, for real. Your flag shows Australia and your guys' customs are brutal from what i've read on the SR forums.
so, 26 days and dr oz has not still here , getting worried

True, there is so few european seller that likes Australia, many say they dont ship there cause the amount that doesnt come through is way too high
Look at the discussion category for weed, theres a guy that posted about several vendors for the aussie cannabis market.
So what's the quickest and easiest way to buy bitcoins in Canada? I used Virwox and bought some coins with paypal a while ago, but their fees and shit are pretty high.
-snip- this thread is too static
So how would I go about getting money anonymously converted to btc in Camp BX? I know my friend used to do something with MT.Gox in which he went to walmart and filled out one of those moneygrams or whatever that people use to give their families money abroad.
[editline]1st September 2013[/editline]
Camp BX operates the same was as MT.Gox did correct? Converts and holds your btc wallet?
I assume you fill out a form that asks for an address on those walmart moneygram kinda things, but does an online location require a more exact address, or can I simply put "Campbx.com" in it?

The only place you put your address and name is on the money order form. You do not need an ID for it, so you could put any info on it really, but then you loose the insurance you have incase they decide to not accept them and send back to the return address. On campbx, you do not put any name or address. I have sent money orders with different return addresses and have successfully deposited into campbx.
ordered some stuff from SR for the first time
is it down for anybody else?
EDIT:
I just got on.
Is silkroad safer than finding a local dealer? I just moved to a big city and don't know anyone.. Considering silk road but I don't wanna get busted.
silkroad is convenient and you get variety. don't think I've ever heard of someone being busted on a domestic order, and even if you somehow did, you can't be arrested for having something mailed to you
If you're not ordering things internationally, it is said to be safer by a fairly large margin, yes. International stuff can go through customs. So that really depends on area and packaging, but plenty of people order internationally with no problem too.

I'd heard that you could... is that misinformation?

I think you can be if you sign for it and it's a police setup.
I think the phrase he's looking for (it's used fairly often on silkroad forums) is Plausible Deniability. This is under the basis that anybody can mail anything to anybody worldwide. If you stay secure (don't keep hard evidence on your computer) and anonymous (using tails, a VPN and tor proxy), there won't be a solid trail of evidence to prove you ordered drugs online. Thus, you will have a plausible excuse to say that a package isn't intended to be sent to you, even though your name and address is on it.
Now, as long as you don't 'accept' the package by signing for it. By signing for a package, you are effectively agreeing that the package you just received is in fact yours. Just because you sign for a package doesn't mean your gonna get arrested, because sometimes inexperienced vendors dont waive the signature (applies to express packages), and international express shipments many times require a signature. I've received a couple packages and had to sign for them. The packages were worth only a couple hundred, and i'm convinced that the feds aren't concerned with packages of drugs worth only a couple hundred dollars. They want a bust worth several thousand dollars, so they can all get department money and get brand new chargers and challengers to drive around.

What if I have to sign for all packages?
http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1250164&p=42072396&viewfull=1#post42072396
the only way you'll get in trouble, like others have said, is if you sign for it and even then I really doubt it'll happen. busting someone ordering a few hundred dollars worth of drugs isn't really worth the time. if you don't feel comfortable with it don't do it
You live in dorms? I had to sign for packages too, but I think thats for the schools' record that you picked up a package from their mailroom, just in case a kid says they didn't get a package or something. I also had packages of books come from chegg.com and had to sign because they were shipped ups.
You most likely could get away with it if you order from very long time vendors with tons of feedback. School mail room staff is usually student workers in my experience and probably dont inspect packages, just sort them and prolly dont give a shit. but there's always a risk, and only you can decide if it's worth it.
Don't buy from AliceInHolland
I love how all domestic orders are 2 days to me pretty much no matter what.
Damnit, I want to check the status on my order and order a grinder and pipe, but SR is down.
I went into Walmart for a money order form to fill out and send to Camp BX, and it was a mystery to me. I filled out the form the way they said to on their site, except that there was no area for a local address, and the form asked for an account number.
Then I found out that CampBX is not on their contracted companies, and thus cannot be contacted for that service.
So I guess I'm going back to MT.Gox. Any hurdles I'm going to face while filling out a moneygram form for them?
[editline]4th September 2013[/editline]
Mt.Gox talks about how I need to submit FML verification or something before they can review my submission though. Err. Anyone know how this works?
I mean obviously most of you do, but would anyone walk me through this real quick?
Damnit, I want to check the status on my order and order a grinder and pipe, but SR is down.
why not just buy a grinder/pipe from a store or something like ebay? not like they're illegal
Fuck I understand silkroad just fine, but getting btc is far too difficult.
Mt.Gox scratched off the list. They require verification to buy now, which is not something I want on a site that someone on here described as "in bed with the FBI" or something along those lines.
Damnit, I want to check the status on my order and order a grinder and pipe, but SR is down.
Why would you buy either of those on the silkroad?
We'll see tomorrow if the USPS money orders are more user friendly and CampBX compatible than the other junk.
SR down for anyone else?
