[QUOTE=brianosaur;39874398]Use [URL="http://www.mtgox.com"]www.mtgox.com[/URL] to find out how much bitcoins are going for. When you have money in your SR account, you can set it to display in dollars and not bitcoins. When the price of bitcoin goes up, so does the amount in your SR wallet. A couple weeks ago when I made a purchase, I had 20 dollars in bitcoin (.70 BTC) left over. It's now worth over 30 dollars. woop woop lol[/QUOTE] No I mean they fluctuate highly in the sense that in the time gone from when I've ordered to when I receive the price could(I shit you not) be of by off by up to 20% percent if this shit keeps up. SilkRoad is already wayyy expensive compared to the competition and this doesn't really tip in their favor(imo) I've been wanting to use this site again ever since the first few time I used it. It's just that the thought of these investments are making my wallet shit thick fat logs. [editline]11th March 2013[/editline] Also I'm higher than usual so I've forgotten the grammatical ways of your english language, In the last sentence should it be as it is or: is making my wallet shit thick fat logs. [editline]11th March 2013[/editline] I seriously don't know

So the price of bitcoin could go up 20% from when you've ordered the drugs to when you've receieved them. How does this affect you exactly, if you've already bought the drugs? And how does it make Silkroad wayyy expensive when prices of the drugs are automatically adjusted and fixed to the dollar? The only way the current trend affects you is that if you have bitcoins and wait with buying you can get more drugs for it as the value goes up.
[QUOTE=Stormcharger;39873583]yea the max is like, 85 percent pure crystals[/QUOTE] Untrue Pure MDMA HCl is 100% pure. Some internet retard decided that the weight of the hydrochloride molecules meant that the max purity was 87% and spread this silly rumour. Whilst true if you had MDMA freebase it'd be 13% more potent by weight, all drug dosages are worked out from their salt anyway so it's pointless. Plus freebase MDMA is a very caustic liquid, you'd have a very hard time ingesting it for it only to be turned into the HCl salt in your stomach anyway. So nah, pure MDMA is pure MDMA.

The last part I haven't thought about though, probably because I lack the patience for such.

Say you want to buy a box of triznits for $50. You buy 1 bitcoin for that amount and use it to place an order. A week later you get it and you can finalize. Bitcoins have by this point increased in price so you can get a box of triznits for 0.7 BTC ($50). You have still paid $50 because you placed the order before the bitcoins increased in price, it does not affect you in any way. You can't say waiting with your purchases is buying smart because that's just investing in bitcoins (a different thing entirely) and if you kept applying that logic you would never be able to buy drugs because "In just 2 weeks I can get 2 triznits for this amount" and after 2 weeks you say the same thing, resulting in an endless loop of never buying anything since you keep waiting for the value of the coin to increase, constantly chasing that sum around the corner not realizing there's always another corner.

I ordered a TON of shit about a month ago, when the price was at ~$10/BTC. after all was said and done with my orders, that shit went up to ~$23/BTC. If I had just waited I could have made atleast $500.

I do not like the idea of buying any sort of bitcoins atm because it is artificially inflated and I have no idea, when it will go back to normal. Say I throw $1000 after bitcoins netting 10, and do not immediately buy my drugs, sure as long as this stuff keeps up I will be saving money, but if I do not spend them this will all probably blow over and I will have spend a $1000 on 10 bitcoins, which are now back to the average $5-8 avg [editline]11th March 2013[/editline] Holy shit if I hadn't formatted my old pc I would have a bitcoin wallet worth $1990 I am a stupid shit.
Can someone double check this for me - BTC has dropped by like 10 bucks a bitcoin
It's still low-mid $40s/bitcoin
Jesus, I'm waiting on it to crash so I can safely buy again.
ok guys so if you click both the links in this paragraph: Getting to Silk Road is tricky. The URL seems made to be forgotten. But don’t point your browser there yet. It’s only accessible through the anonymizing network, TOR, which requires a bit of technical skill to configure. in the article, the first one is a .onion domain and the second one the O in TOR is an onion. i dont know about you but i dont think this place is real...
The article is outdated by a lot. SR bought a new domain a while back, and it's literally right in the directory. It's not hard to find or access at all really.

Will SR vendors ship to a private mail box, like one I would rent at the UPS store?
It depends on the vendor. If the vendors profile page doesn't say anything about mail boxes, then they will ship there.
baby i can show you my silk road. [editline]14th March 2013[/editline] leads right into my velvet underground
I had about 9BTC on my SR account and I forgot the password :(
Holy fuck BTC has spiked to almost 70 dollars. I suspect this is due to the batch of bitcoins being pumped out of ASIC rigs, creating instability at first and then causing massive inflation. A crash feels imminent.
How low do you think they'll fall?
I honestly have no idea, but I expect it to crash pretty hard (maybe even down to the ~$5-10 range) and then rise up to a more sustainable level. Though what that is is anyone's guess, as bitcoin is a decentralized, growing economy still in its infancy and there is no "standard value" as of yet. Hell there may never be a standard value, it's fully possible it will just keep fluctuating.
How long do you think until the market crashes? In an estimate
No idea about that either, bitcoins are very unpredictable. But if I had to guess I'd say in the coming month or two. edit: What's up with the dumb, landstorm?
I made a bunch of money off this. I was originally gonna buy 2 ounces but i may even have enough for a QP now. I'm just gonna hold off to see how high it goes.
Damnit I am so pissed I didn't buy a bunch of bitcoins back when they where $32. I guess I'm just gonna wait until the price stabilizes
Was about to buy 7g mid grade for like 0.7btc, but then saw 5g hash for 0.94btc... I'm 0.2 short and I'm unsure when bitcoin's gonna crash. :suicide: [editline]23rd March 2013[/editline] Ah well, just ordered the mids, I see the price of bitcoins is slowly dipping. Will post when it arrives.
