Grow a pair?
Truly a dark day...
It makes me wonder why there is the silkroad camel in the background of site has been seized message, did who ever seized it really go to the effort of putting that in there in the seizure message.
Rookie mistakes, DPR
Rookie mistakes, DPR
He's like a less intelligent Walter White. Average white collar guy who sets up a criminal enterprise and gets in way over his head.
You would expect better from a physics major.
You would expect better from a physics major.
Nah, everyone knows only chemistry majors can become successful criminals.
There were loads of alternative addresses surely it wouldn't just be him in this game and someone's gonna take over? If not then other markets are just gonna have to step up. "Congwatulations Amewica, you have stopped nothing
Well, they may not have stopped it entirely, but they've sent a message that you can still get busted even if you use Tor, which may stifle the rise of other markets. (The DEA and FBI know that they can't stop every criminal*, but they've done their job if they've spread enough fear.) *I'm using criminal in the sense of law breaker, even though I personally see Silk Road as a victimless non-crime. But the dude was also ordering hits apparently, which is entirely criminal.
Its like.. you got the real shit from SR... and now youve had it and realised its mind blowing.. how the fuck are you ever meant to go back to buying crap off a randomer that your mates mate knows. Fuck sake :(
Habbening, etc, etc. Move to BMR.

God fucking damn it. There's nowhere for me to buy where I live. Shit.
I never took the time to get my head around Bitcoin and try out SR, but this still makes me pretty pissed. People will die because of this, seems a bit dramatic but I could easily see that happening. EASILY.
Tiss' a sad day for those who wish to make a non-violent transaction for drugs. But to be honest it did take the DEA a pretty damn long time to shut down SR. Much longer than I expected, that is.
hahahaha i made my transaction on friday last week. i can only hope that it gets here tomorrow or the day after..
Now the reddit is private: http://www.reddit.com/r/SilkRoad/ I really want to know what the fuck is going on.
I hope people just move to BMR or Atlantis etc. now. There's no where else to buy shit in my town here in the middle of nowhere and I still want durgs :c
I hope people just move to BMR or Atlantis etc. now. There's no where else to buy shit in my town here in the middle of nowhere and I still want durgs :c
atlantis voluntarily shut down a few weeks ago
From what I heard Atlantis was also full of scammers, and so is BMR. I'll wait with moving on until the dust settles and BMR, Sheep Marketplace or some other site gets a good userbase and reputation going. [editline]3rd October 2013[/editline] Seems like Sheep Marketplace is heading towards becoming the main replacement, a lot of vendors are moving on there and the site is growing rapidly. I advise people to get an account there, even if you're not buying at the moment, since it's fully possible they will (temporarily) close registrations soon in order to handle all the newcomers. sheep5u64fi457aw.onion
anyone able to confirm if TheHerbalist is the actual SR guy on SMP?
anyone able to confirm if TheHerbalist is the actual SR guy on SMP?
Try using his SR pgp key and see if he can read a message.
i was about to order off silk road for the first time until they got shut down :( but i was looking online some more and found this guy named medicine man. he seems reliable with how he takes care of things (shipping and security wise). so i just ordered an eighth of lemon diesel off of him for $60 and im super excited. he said he has only had one package screwed up during shipment because of customer error over the 1000s of orders he has done. he ships internationally too. ill let you guys know how it is
I'm just happy I put off buying BC.
snip
give it back :(
Fuck me I never even got to use... back to finding drugs the old fashioned way... still though FUCK!
The FBI even concluded that the drugs they bought on SR were cheaper and of higher purity than what they could get on the street. The entire premise of an operation like SR spits in the face of prohibition. I don't even know how the FBI can justify prohibition after seeing what SR has become, and essentially how safe it is. [editline]4th October 2013[/editline] Because of the transparency you get with BTC, you can actually monitor the wallet the feds are storing the seized SR coins in. Check it out here People are leaving small donations along with notes for the FBI.
I bet there's gonna be something else out there that surfaces and completely replaces this system as a way to buy drugs from anyone, anywhere [editline]4th October 2013[/editline] Also whores willing to bet they drone some of the posters on their wallet? :p You are dirty auto correct
