Does anyone know what SMP stands for? The seller that I purchased stuff from the SR has started an account on Black Market Reloaded, I was going to send a message to the seller about my failed purchase, but the seller says on their profile that they only communicate using SMP.

BMR has shut down
During these days I'd to commit the worse of the sins to get the site online; use a VPS! The VPS admin had stole the code and leaked it. This means I can't operate anymore. I'd read the rumors, and I've to say I'm not BCE, but his work was where I learn some basics to build the site. I'll put up in a few days a system to allow you to recover your BTC, they went nowhere and I've all needed data to refund them. I can then confirm this is actually BMR's index.php file: http://iobm.net/forum/dos/index.php/topic,17.msg113.html#msg113 All the best and until the next time, backopy ----UPDATE 2013 10 17 1500 UTC ---- Roadmap to recovery: I'll be creating an address where you may enter your username, password and then the address you want to withdraw the coins to. Escrow and so on, to be dealt later on.
https://fec33nz6mhzd54zj.onion.to/viewtopic.php?id=9394
God damnit shit. Well the guy behind SMP may be careless, but is the site good/legit? I hope so or I'm proper fucked
shiiiiet, well guess sheep marketplace is the place to go
My stuff got shipped from BMR two days ago, lucky me
why are they all fucking it up, they could lead the market and get rich
Shit BMR is gone? And the sheep is mediocre? I've never even heard of the sheep. Someone should PM me the address. Or maybe I'll set up PGP later or something 2 people sent me the address. DD'ers are lovely people
Who would have expected that? Apparently the owner of the site had hitmans hired for some guy that tried to blackmail him, atleast thats whats the the news node says.
shit dude's a player
There's rumors going around about a decentralized alternative that may be in the works, not sure if it's true (or if such a thing is even possible) but if it is then it will solve a lot of problems and make it almost impossible to take down.

All you guys need to think about is this is just the beginning. Napster got taken down roughly, and did that stop torrenting one bit? Silk road is just a stepping stone.
I love the smell of bubbles in the morning [t]http://i.imgur.com/OiljbaS.png[/t]
forgot my pin for the sheep and have to wait 24 hours for a reset :( hope it doesn't get shut down or anything
Also unrelated to BTC
So is Sheep marketplace the only way right now?
BMR is back up if anyone was wondering

All current and future sites in the spirit of Silk Road are bound to fail because they are run by very few people who have to fight against all major international law enforcement agencies; The smallest fuck up and you're gone. Even more so, a lot of the appeal of running such a site is trying to make a quick buck through middleman commissions, which only makes LEA go even harder against you. The ideal solution is to have some sort of encrypted p2p software that allowed people to list and browse products, receive ratings, do the whole transaction process etc.. I don't know shit about encryption so I'm not sure how it would work really.

The whole point is that you can browse a website "store" from all different vendors Running the site through the tor network is the only viable solution since the host's ip will remain untraceable. The only reason they found Robert's was because he made some mistakes early on and left his name hanging around forums, so they traced him through there. If someone with a completely clean slate managed to stay anonymous, the site will stay untraceable.

Just have a foundation for things like item listings, ratings, the order process etc, all user input organized, verified and hosted by the network of users in a similar way to how Bitcoin handles things. Although I have no idea how they would address security issues like traceable IP's or whatever with this kind of solution. That's left for the (hopefully) geniuses working on the code!
Good time to be holding coins :) China is going nuts and the western media storm hasn't even started yet (though I expect it will once we pass 266). 500 doesn't seem so far away!

I threw down $10 and I made $3. I feel like a Wall Street fat cat already man. But seriously ohhhh my. If I threw down that $200 last week instead of next week I'd have $60 so far. Who even knows how much this is going to go up. Ahhhh. Do you think it will still be going up next week Mindtwistah?
quadruples
I'd explode if this happens

Or maybe not if the Chinese will be consistently pushing it hard enough. Considering the last bubble took almost a month to pop we're probably going to go pretty far this time, especially if Gox and other big exchanges have learned their lesson and upgraded their trade engines to handle the rush. I'm hoping for quadruples!
I can't tell if it was foolish for me to preorder a BFL Jalepeno miner a few months back. According to their production estimates, I won't be getting mine till January-February I suppose $250 isn't the biggest mistake i've ever made, but I honestly have no idea what the market will be like by the time I get my miner.
I'm throwing all of my spare money at bitcoins and I can't stop cumming [editline]10:41 AM[/editline] Now I'm getting murdered
lol buying now is the stupidest thing you can do so is selling its gonna drop any minute now, just buy then and the watch it rebound to 200
It will slide down for a while until the next bull rally starts, but I doubt it will suddenly drop massively unless a whale decides to take a shit. Besides support at 175 is very strong so it probably won't go below that. You can try to catch the bottom, but buying now isn't the stupidest thing if you're planning on holding and riding out the coming bubble, in which case you'll still be profiting.
I didn't realize coinbase would take a week to give me bitcoins. That's stupid, it's literally faster to send a money gram across the country than it takes for them to make an online transaction. And it gives me the bitcoins a week after I bought them. Which means I got fucked. At least campbx takes a week and THEN you buy bitcoins.
