Someone posted a link to a Silk Road phishing site. It began with "silkroad" and everything.
Postal baleeted my post because I quoted it to point out how suspect it was. I broke da rulez.
ordered me some changa to enlighten myself, excited is an understatement!

You didn't get banned? I posted right after that guy posted that link, I reported it and quoted it to so there was no confusion with the real link which joe588 posted above.
Are we on the moon yet?
So,it turns out my buddy still has 16 bitcoins left from when he bought a bunch a while ago. He only paid a few dollars a piece for them.

Still in Earth's atmosphere
F-f-f-f-five hundred motherfuckerssssss
Fuck the 99% n shit I'm a rich wallstreet hard mothafucka now
On other notes I have made some estimations for the top of this bull market by referencing the 2011 and 2013 bubbles and approximating where we might be now. If we are truly entering wave 5 price should reach 650-700 before the pop, however based on another reference point it should go to around 1200.
I have no idea if this will hold true, I'm just basing it on previous bubble logic and wave patterns, but I'll proceed with caution around those price points.
Looks like my $1200 prediction is more likely than the $650-700 at this point

I regret not buying earlier this year so much now.
Bitcoins are going to pop right? RIGHT?!?!?
How far down do you think the pop will go? down to 300? 200?
Well following previous bubble logic, and assuming Bitcoin does in fact rise to about $1.2k, the low from the pop (or the "new $50") would be around $300-400 which is much higher than my initial estimation.
I'm still probably going to sell before $650 though because 2011 bubble patterns applied here means a pop around that price and a low closer to the 200-300 range. In some respects the 2011 bubble looks more similar to this one, but the latest patterns correspond very well to the April one.
So far I have made $203 dollars off of my bitcoin investment in about a week.
Looks like I'm getting quite a lot of free drugs!
Why dont we have a bitcoin discussion thread?
Didnt facepunch use to have one?
There is one in GD and one in SH but I'm not fond of these places.
Megathreads, including the one about btc, have been banned from SH for a long time.
Got $500 cash, gonna deposit that stuff, wait for the btc bubble to burst then buy as many as I can and ride to the moon with you guys
Interesting, looks like the $650-700 count was partially valid but only for a drop and swift recovery.

Market nervousness is apparent but nowhere near strong enough like April $266 levels. Price should spike even higher now, hopefully after consolidation :)

and as I type that it breaks 700 :v:

Mindtwistah, when do you think the bubble is gonna burst since you seem to be the bitcoin expert here
I lost 0.3btc on some fucking bitcoin minesweeper game earlier because I didn't understand some damn method to win it alot
shit

I'm not sure. Obviously the 650-700 count was broken so my remaining top count is $1200, but it feels like there was too little pullback and consolidation for another dramatic wave taking us that far.
However for the sake of giving you a number I'm going to go ahead and say $1000-1200 with reservation for change :)

So should i buy now or wait till it pops? i've been debating it
Imo it's too risky to buy now. Like buying at 150-200 during the April bubble. But having fiat ready for when it drops to scoop up cheap coins is a sound long-term strategy.
saying that they're at like $730ish at the moment and are most likely to reach $800 tomorrow i'll just wait it out and buy cheap
People seem to be jumping out as the vote nears, hmmm
Today seems like a good day to panic sell
But as of current I'm literally just watching my money go up every 10 seconds
It's orgasmic
Well I panic sold my fucking dick off. Tried selling at 800 but it crashed so goddamn fast and so many orders were going through i had to lowball a limit order at 580. Sheeeeiiiit now instead of kicking my feet wishing I bought at 140 I'm kicking my feet wishing I sold 10 minutes earlier.
Such is life. I can't really be mad I made money by doing literally nothing.
[sp]Actually I'm buttmad as all hell cause it just jumped back to 750 ahhhhhhhhhh fuck me for always panic selling haha[/sp]
haha I was worried it would go down when it was at 350. I sold .75 at 300. I made 225 but wish I held on longer. Not complaining but still lol

There we go, now it's to the moon again!
Hmmh, maybe not a correction after all but a prolonged crash. We've gone past the previous low now so no chance for double bottom reversal.
[editline]19th November 2013[/editline]
Yep, as I typed that Bitstamp (or should I say Bearstamp) crashed hard :v:
Let's see where the floor will be
[editline]19th November 2013[/editline]
Caught the falling knife at $410 (Bitstamp), looks like a floor was formed at 378 which isn't completely out of line with my $300-400 bottom prediction.
However Gox "only" went to $502 which is far above my prediction. Same thing with my $1200 top count, apparently it was valid in BTCChina but not on Stamp, which only reached 755 and Gox which went to 900.
I see two possible options. Either this wasn't the crash but just some extreme correction, or (more likely) my predictive model must be reworked to compensate for the dynamics and ecosystem between the leading exchanges.
I can't decide if I want to sell now while I'm ahead or not
Turns out I bought TWO bitcoins when I bought off of BMR so I now have .9 of a bitcoin which is basically one full bitcoin. I'm so happy now, bought it at $180/btc.
