Silk Road - Your Local Drug Dealer Is Now a Computer

Anyone had experience with ordering from Coinabul? Or any other BTC to gold website?
Planning on a larger investment next time, will need a way to withdraw lol
So where do you guys ship to?
I'm not sure how comfortable I am with shipping to my house. I was thinking about using a PO box, but I'd have to show ID for that so it's not any better
I live alone so I just get it shipped to me.
It depends on what you're ordering, but usually the pack will probably be a small flat rate priority box, nothing crazy.

home
ship it to your house with your real name, it seems less suspicious
My last order I had shipped right to my mom's P.O. Box, she just handed me the package and thought nothing of it. Mm tasty Djarums.
How does Silk Road work with bitcoin inflations? If a guy is selling a " 7g mid grade for like 0.7btc" like tristanguy2 says, and then bitcoins rise by like .8, does that mean mean you can like now have 56 bitcoins and like can buy 56 grams of that mid (probably more due to bulk buying deals)
Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm high as fuck

also normally only you know what your pobox is so its far more incriminating if it gets sent to your PO box rather than your house
son you cant be held accountable for shit that's been SENT to you from another person
relax & enjoyyy

The total price in btc will also fluctuate so that the seller is guaranteed to get a certain dollar amount when he sells the bitcoins.
im pretty sure you can be if its a pobox though, because the cops will sometimes wait for you to collect afaik
They could have 'happened' to know your po box off hand and decided to be malicious.

Also the site is acting weird, I can't view my current order. It says I have one order, but when I look on my orders page there is nothing..
honestly though po box is far more dodgey than your house, a lot of rc websites won't even send their stuff to po boxes
PO box is more sketchy, but you should have nothing to worry about if you aren't ordering large amounts of any drug.
jesus guys you can't be charged for possesion because someone puts illegal shit in your mailbox
get real
[editline]24th March 2013[/editline]
just deny it and you're OK
That's a rather naive attitude. Yeah you can't be charged for possesion from just a package, but if it's a larger amount or if you've been suspected for something drug-related before (or if you're just unlucky) your home could get searched. Most druggies have shit at home so that's bound to get you in trouble.

once you open the package you're in possession of the stuff
Yeah I think I'm just going to ship it to my house then, it's not like I'm going to be ordering that much shit

They could maybe hit you with a an importation of illegal contraband or something if its international
dont know if that could apply to even domestic state lines

I've never heard of someone getting busted for that lol, and they still can't charge you with anything unless you make it known that the package belongs to you by for example signing it or calling the postal office if your package hasn't arrived for a longer while (I know of quite a few who got busted this way).
Customs don't check domestic mail, don't know how it works with packages in the US between states though but I doubt they check those.
The only way to get busted domestically is if the vendor didn't package it well or if police are watching your mailbox for some reason (I know of a rare few who have had this happen too).

I wouldn't expect you to know anybody moving hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of product across the map. Law enforcement aren't concerned with little itty bitty thousand dollar packages. They only wanna catch the big time, because along with that they get BIG seizures. Which usually turns out to be large sums of money, cars, and expensive toys that a lot of can be unaccounted for on paper.
The hardest thing about this is about having a case against you is proving that you ordered the shipment. That will be extremely hard for them or impossible, which is exactly why you dont personally know anybody whose been charged with such a crime.
I understand what your saying, but if the law enforcement put enough time and effort to trying to put a case together against you, they could charge you with conspiracy to trafficking or importing drugs into the country, because that's definitely illegal.
is it just me, or is silkroad not working
was down for maintenence, check the SR forums for official updates when its not working to be sure
[QUOTE=Adbor;40027356]once you open the package you're in possession of the stuff[/QUOTE]
in most places this is true for a controlled delivery, if you went "what the heck!! who sent me this!!!! "really loud and your neighbours heard, perhaps u'd get away with it.
if you opened it with a fake name, then you're committing an offense anyway and would probably get charged for the contraband too.

-long wall of bullshit I have no recollection of writing lol-
In case you guys didn't hear Matrix, the top Australian seller went rogue last month. There's a few writeups on what happened if you want to google it, he made tens of thousands if he could get those bitcoins to cash. As a result of this all the prices have gone up unfortunately, and there's not alot in the Australian market.
If you have spare cash, buy bitcoins now!!
Why's that? I have over a 1000 in my mtGox account right now. is it because they are going for ~130 and the average is ~170, which is what sr goes on about?
This dip is only temporary, it's going to rise again. It has grown far too popular for there to be a crash like in 2011. There is too much money invested in bitcoin and too many very powerful and rich investors who will do anything to prevent such a crash. Now is a great opportunity to buy low if you missed it before.
At least this is my estimation, which seems to be shared by many bitcoin speculators.
The rate of new bitcoins pumped into the system has come to a halt due to the exponential increase in difficulty, while more and more money is being pumped in every day. The Cyprus banks have gone to shit, the euro is very unstable and has lost a whole lot of confidence among the general population and keeps doing so. An increasing amount of people are turning to bitcoin, the value has potential to reach quadruple digits in a few years if it becomes more widespread.
What the fuck is MtGox doing!! The price was stabilizing when they suddenly shut down trading, now it's chaos and anarchy and everyone going nuts, this could severely hurt the market. Bitstamp has orders going for as low as $50!!!!!
[editline]11th April 2013[/editline]
I predict as soon as MtGox opens trading the price will drop due to people selling in panic, then rise as fuck as investors are looking to cash in on a low BTC price, and then drop again as people have been scared by this crash, waiting for it to rise again and start selling when it reaches more reasonable levels (150+ ish). After this it will hopefully stabilize.
But this is only my prediction, and with this chaos now only the gods can tell what the hell is going to happen in the next few days. I will be following it glued to the computer screen as I'm sure millions of others will as well.
