Someone on Agora want to answer a question for me?
My order has been sitting at "Pending" for almost a month. Is there a "Shipped" category which it has yet to reach, presumably before I actualiy receive it?

Yeah, pending usualy means it awaits the vendors attention, you should ask him about it.
Usually when the order is shipped they change it to "Shipped" status.

whos the vendor? I'd just try getting your money back at this point. Its been a month lol
T5. apparently he looks at SR a lot and agora, like, never. i asked for a refund.
-snip- nevermind got the referral
Fucking T5, never sent the order out and is going to refund me "within the week". I lost money on this deal because BTC went down over this last month, and it wouldn't be so bad if he was gonna refund me today - as he should be able to - because I'm about to buy something.
The moral of the story, don't buy from T5 on Agora - though he seems to look at Silk Road every day, so might be more doable there.
It's usually a good idea to try to message the vendor and feel him out before placing an order, but honestly I stick to people who i've ordered from before. I don't even use the markets anymore, just doing direct deals with vendors.
is agora down?
someone on reddit/r/darknetmarkets reckons he has 'sensitive info' on the DNM scene about some shit that's gonna happen over the next 45 days
who knows
should be interesting to see if anything does happen

IDK this doesn't seem serious
I don't think gov would do such thing, for sure not globally, even if, you should always use pgp encryption to not be fucked in situations like this.
basically I was drawing conclusions and getting a little overly paranoid i'm pretty sure, cut my post down to keep it at crucial details and not making assumptions
lets just see where it goes
I love how every country that has banned civilian ownership of firearms had thoroughly indoctrinated their people to hate and fear them. Everybody who buys a gun is a Hezbollah child sex slave selling heroin dealer serial killer.
i'd LOVE to have a gun, jsut for the novelty,
not that I need or particularly want one though
I always have the option of getting a firearms license and doing it legally regardless
but trying to demonize firearms doesn't make much sense,
they're very beautiful contraptions,
guns don't kill people, people kill people.
but that's why the media attention is stupid,
bringing attention to a marketplace where people can GET guns, amongst other illegal things (especially when they point it out) is only going to do just that, bring the market more attention, in that they try to make a story out of this taboo subject and make some money off of what's already going on on that side of reality, but realistically it's just going to make people more curious and more aware of the dark net markets and their potential
it's not going to help achieve anything except sell more and make the people doing it smarter at that
the part which makes me laugh is that I expect they put it up in order to "scare people away"
like bringing mass attention to a subject ever helped to keep people away from it :v:
it's essentially free advertising that someone else is making a profit off of
Im pretty sure most gun vendors are scams for the most part.
Assuming you dont have any felonies and in the US, there is literally no point in buying a gun on these marketplaces. Just get it legally..
So, have things finally settled down since the fall of Silk Road? which market should I use now? Agora seems pretty popular.

Yes, Agora is good. Although I'd choose a good vendor and then buy on the market they're on. Most markets are alright but they're all more recent than the most trusted vendors.
-snip- thanks
Should I use a tumbling service or something after buying bitcoins on bitstamp?
Should I use a tumbling service or something after buying bitcoins on bitstamp?
If you're going all out on security, yes.
Realistically, if you're only buying small amounts once in a while, the chances someone will try (and manage) to chase the source of the bitcoins you spent and trace it back to you is comedically low. In fact, nobody has ever heard anything about that kind of thing happening, even for the biggest vendors.
If it were me, I would tumble if I planned on buying anything other than a small, personal amount every once in a while.
But then again if I did that, I wouldn't post about it on here. Posting here is ten times more insecure than not tumbling your bitcoins.
I also sent text messages about it to a friend, which is a thousand times more insecure. :v:

And yet I use TAILS and encrypt everything. But it's more for the fun of it really.
Hey just a heads up but if any of you have a .edu email address you might be able to get $10 worth of bit coins by signing up for a coinbase account with it
I plan to cherish these .022 bitcoins until they are entirely worthless

No need to close.
Make a new account on the .edu, transfer the funds to the original account, never touch the .edu ever again. Easy!

Seems extremely exploitable considering you can create an endless amount of .edu emails...
It's only for certain top-level universities, and they've said they'll cut off a university if someone is abusing the system there. Don't be a dick
Is there currently a list of which uni's they're accepting?
They didn't release a list because they want everyone to try. Honestly if you have any kind of big-name university you should, it's like a minute's work to check.
Oh that's gay, my university isn't eligible. Even though it's a pretty large state university.
So whats up with this bitcoin price. Are we going to the moon yet?
