I have tried to connect to silk road for the past hour.. using the link " [url]http://ianxz6zefk72ulzz.onion/index.php[/url] " and it will not connect in tor browser...
Help???
And if anyone would help me answer a few questions... What are the best guys to buy from, for o's and qps??
And generally what are the prices, do they fluctuate along with bitcoins?
What is the buying process for a first time buyer? And do you have any tips?
Hypothetically ofc.

The ChemBrothersLtd seems to be selective scammers, they tried to scam me but I managed to get more than I paid for by keeping them under pressure with words like "negative impact" and "rating" during a PM conversation, where they at the same time are aware of the fact that I rated them low but am keeping the possibility of rating them high if a "compensatory act is made".
Other than that, don't order while drunk, don't finalize before you get your stuff, and to be safe, only order from your own country or low-risk countries.
So one time a package never got shipped to my house because I didn't include a 'country code'. Which is bullshit because I've ordered out of country a handful of times and that was the only time that's happened.
[QUOTE=Mindtwistah;40247273]What the fuck is MtGox doing!! The price was stabilizing when they suddenly shut down trading, now it's chaos and anarchy and everyone going nuts, this could severely hurt the market. Bitstamp has orders going for as low as $50!!!!!
[editline]11th April 2013[/editline]
I predict as soon as MtGox opens trading the price will drop due to people selling in panic, then rise as fuck as investors are looking to cash in on a low BTC price, and then drop again as people have been scared by this crash, waiting for it to rise again and start selling when it reaches more reasonable levels (150+ ish). After this it will hopefully stabilize.
But this is only my prediction, and with this chaos now only the gods can tell what the hell is going to happen in the next few days. I will be following it glued to the computer screen as I'm sure millions of others will as well.[/QUOTE]
Yay, I have the potential of doubling 50 SEK (8.7 USD) if the price goes up to 1000 again thanks to this information. Now I can go buy two pizzas instead of one. One week until pay day...

How does the actual buying process go??? Say i have 5 bit coins, and an ounce is 5 bit coins, what steps do you go through to do it??
And hypothetically, a person who isn't me would be middle manning for people who dont have the technical skill or intelligence to use silk road, making a good amount of money..
Thanks for ANY info you can give me.
Septimas if you have Steam I can walk you through the whole thing

You search for a drug of choice in the search field, then you can choose to limit the search to your country by checking the "Domestic" box. When you have found a seller, you should click on his name to see what other people have written about buying from him, you should also read the profile page to make sure everything seems alright. After making sure that you don't see a pattern with people writing feedback like "I never got my product!", you can click on the drug, then press "add to cart". After you have all the drugs you want in your cart, you type in your address into the box, then you type in your PIN-number you selected when you made your account.
Then you wait for your package to arrive in the mail, where you are then socially obligated to go to the "Orders" tab of your account and finalize the order and give a 5/5 if everything is in order. You also need to type something in the feedback box, like "Very fast delivery" or something small.
Keep in mind that you as a customer have a reputation based on the feedback you give. Finalizing early might make some sellers more prone to scamming you, while continually giving low ratings might make people deny your order.

What is "finalizing"?
Is that just sending the reviews in?? I am under the impression right now that you don't pay until you receive your drugs in the mail, which seems pretty easy to rip off..
Or is finalizing just saying "yeah he shipped good fast blah blah "
Finalizing is the act of "confirming" that you received your package, which then the bitcoins of your order are deposited in the seller's account. When you purchase it takes the bitcoins out of your account and "holds" them until you finalize. It will auto-finalize after 18 days or something too.

What is the stipulations on if you didn't receive a package?? Like if i ordered, they said shipping 3 days, and it ends up just not arriving, what happens then??
Oh and what is the average shipping time for products on here? domestic in US. Jw
You can deal with the seller for that. They'll reship or refund usually.
Shipping is however long it takes. 2-20 days. You won't ever have tracking either.

Most products don't ship from the US, fyi.

Okay, sounds good. Any bud sellers you recommend for great chronic and fast shipping?
Just look for people with above 96% positive feedback. It shows next to their name on listings. Such as NorCalKing (99). People with high positive feedback and loads of transactions are almost always good.

There is also a "resolve" button next to the "finalize" button where you should click if you didn't receive your order. I haven't actually used that button yet so I'm not sure what it does. Can someone tell me what happens?

[QUOTE=ATribeCalledQ;40250821]Dude at least PM it fuck[/QUOTE]
Why? There's an entire Wikipedia page about the site that has the link, that pretty much makes it out in the open.
Anything helps to make it just that little more private, but it's at your discretion.

You do know that the more people there are on silk road, the bigger impact we as customers have on the prices, as it becomes more and more favorable to vendors to become the number one seller of a certain item.
That's a very good point, I just don't like the idea of 'unfavorable' people on there. I don't know I just feel like it's a hush hush thing, you may be right though

Silkroad is an open market with millions of users and known to every law enforcement in the world. It's far from hush hush nowadays.
Huge price war going on right now with the average slowly declining. It should stabilize slightly within the next few hours, until the Americans wake up at least.
[editline]12th April 2013[/editline]
Woah just went from average of 100 to 75 in a minute. Someone with huge capital is cashing in on panic sellers lol
[editline]12th April 2013[/editline]
This sure smells like market manipulation to the max. I bet people sitting on a lot of fiat on the exchange sites are smiling very broadly right now
[editline]12th April 2013[/editline]
The yanks are waking up and selling, price is declining rapidly again, the wall at 75 has been broken. Let's see where this leads
Seems to be stabilizing around 60-65

I wonder if anyone's blown their life savings expecting it not to dip below $100
I'm expecting quite a few bitcoin-related suicides in the coming days :v:
Recovering and on the way up again! Already $91/coin at bitstamp, 83 average at MtGox.
Good thing I managed to buy at $55 :)
MtGox has really fucked up big this time and shown the entire BTC market how incompetent they truly are and how ill-prepared their infrastructure was for the surge in bitcoin popularity. This is good because MtGox being central in a decentralized economy was the biggest reason for the crash in the first place.
One exchange should not hold the majority of the market, hopefully more people will start using alternatives like Bitstamp, BTC-E, Bitfloor or Bitcoin-24 now, to have a more even distribution of bitcoin trading and prevent one exchange's incompetence from causing a crash again.
Your posts about btc have been pretty helpful, do you watch mtgox or have you other methods of tracking btc exchange rate?
