Bitcoin has been going down a good deal. Anybody know what's up with that? Mindtwistah? Lots of panic selling going on it seems.
The 2 month consolidation triangle was recently broken down, establishing a downtrend. Once price started dropping a liquidation cascade was triggered on Bitfinex from people going long around $600 getting margin called, which prompted a flash-crash and added more fuel to the fire, making the downtrend pick up speed and strength. It seems the market was overbought, with too little buying pressure to sustain the price let alone a rally.

There is reason to believe either this was the bottom and price will now bounce up (green arrow), or that we will have one last move down, probably to $425-430 (purple arrow). However, if $420 is broken (red arrow), it will invalidate the May rally to $680 being an impulse wave and thus also the bullish reversal, meaning the rise will instead be confirmed as Wave B of C and we will see a continuation of the bear market, probably with a bottom between previous $340 low or $260-level.
In other words, if you're holding and currently underwater, I would not advise selling until price goes below $420 as there's still a chance it will reverse.
Just spent my 40 dollars worth of btc 3 days ago
I went on silkroad 2.0 at school just for kicks. I don't buy or sell drugs though.

If you're talking about highschool/ not college, have fun getting your shit and life completely wrecked if anybody ever finds out.
That's something you really shouldn't do or mess with. Don't be a retard. Saw a kid get expelled just for downloading a VPN because it was against the schools terms.

Psssh... nope, the teachers are really dumb and don't even know what a VPN means. Besides the whole school downloaded them, they caught the distributor and just threatened him with detention. So I'm pretty sure at my school its fine.... plus I never browsed on the site just went on the main page. I also went on al quedia's fake site, and pornhub.

I hate to tell you then but you're just another POS child that is ruining the future. Please don't do drugs and give them a bad name along with kindly go away.
Update to potential long-term investors; there is some strong indication that this might be bottom, at least short term with a spike up to $500-level and/or a longer term bottom nearer $260, or lower $300's.

If you are looking for a chance to buy in and hold longer-term (~6-18 months) and ride out the next bubble, I would strongly recommend it. As long as you abide by the golden rule of investing; not to invest more than you can afford to lose. This is all probabilistic analysis, but with great long-term upside potential.
Thanks for this.
I have a some coins trying to hold out til the next bubble if there is one. I'm down a bit, but i'm hoping for 600s to come soon :D. I'm going on vacation for christmas so hopefully things will look a bit better by then and Ill have extra spending money
Bitcoin – The third, and perhaps most scary, is that they plan on investigating people who purchase bitcoin. Their reasoning is that there are very little legal use for the digital currency, and that the main use of the currency is buying illicit goods. They also plan to put regulations into place that would make bitcoins easier to track, and tie them to identity of their owner.
Is this even possible/legal??
Is this even possible/legal??
Yes, through the exchanges. All major exchanges (except BTC-E to some degree afaik) adhere to AML/KYC procedures and regulations, tying your purchase of bitcoins to you. Of course with a good tumbling service connecting your purchase of bitcoins to the purchase of drugs will be virtually impossible, but you are still vulnerable on the "explain where the money went"-side of things. Currently this is not very problematic until you reach higher volumes (they don't care about you buying drugs, just about you not paying taxes), but with future jurisdiction this may render exchanges an unviable option even for very small drug-related transactions.
Atm and for the foreseeable future, the best way of maintaining anonymity is with private cash-for-coin transactions, using for example localbitcoins.
Are they really going to investigate everybody who buys bitcoin? And if you buy privately, is there any way for them to find out if you've actually bought/used the BTC?
Are they really going to investigate everybody who buys bitcoin? And if you buy privately, is there any way for them to find out if you've actually bought/used the BTC?
I doubt they'd investigate everybody, probably people with suspicious buying habits or those who have already been flagged as potential dealers. I doubt this ITOM thing will have much effect on people buying personally.
Are they really going to investigate everybody who buys bitcoin?
No, not in the sense that they'll follow up on each individual investigation for prosecution, although you are likely to end up in some sort of database/system. Resources are not endless and bitcoin is becoming more mainstream. But it is still a risk you take when going through official, traceable channels (i.e., bank fiat for bitcoin), a risk that increases the higher your volume is or, as Freddi says, relative to your buying patterns. Not to mention there will always be individuals who get picked out and made an example of for deterrence, just like with piracy. I expect certain countries (like Sweden, unfortunately) to have a higher rate of such examples, but mostly it should be limited to the more serious offenders and/or dealers.
And if you buy privately, is there any way for them to find out if you've actually bought/used the BTC?
Not as long as you maintain good tumbling procedures. This way the only points of failure lie with your ISP, the marketplaces (avoidable with personal encryption), the dealers and the mail.
Where can I buy bitcoins with a credit card at that doesn't have a shitty limit??
circle.com is a new one, i guess its similar to coinbase. lots of people seemingly been having good luck with them.
anyone fancy selling me a small amount of btc?
IDEA FOR ONION SERVER
drugs4kids
drugs4kids is the solution for all you motherfuckers that still live with your parents, losers.
you find a group of 3-12 very trusted friends, preferably in the same state, to throw down for a large PO box.
The "gang" now owns a PO box and they can use this to receive goodies from darknet, completely out of sight of those greedy fucking parents,
Drugs4Kids will should not store funds directly, to avoid silly mistakes like... dare we mention the name of that retched street
I posit that instead, some API will need to control a remotely hosted wallet which will contain funds from all the gang members, keeping meticulous care to keep count who has added what (more on this in a bit). BTC addresses will be assigned to users on the onion.
The drugs4kids onion will host a shared text space for address information, so that any gang member who has been assigned to know it can get it added. The onion will also host a shared textspaces for public/private PGP keys, and optional manual logging of private message history with different vendors.
Profiles are quickly generated by adding a product name, uploaded LOCALLY hosted picture (for gods sake i cant stand when theres no pictures for my drugs!!! thumbnails are small in size.). And each profile will be added to a voting list, where it will track how many votes it gets.
Voting power is decided by BTC donation size, so the richest gang member gets the most say in what drugs you guys get. I mentioned earlier to meticulously keep count who added what, this responsibility is left to the gang leader.
The leader (creator) of the gang will also be responsible for actually ordering the drugs which win the most votes, vowing to submit only the address from the drugs4kids textbox, using the similar PGP encryption keys. The leader will check "As often as he can" his private messages on the darknets that he used, and would copy/paste the PGP ENCRYPTED text onto drugs4kids onion (d4k should not accent transmitted messages in plaintext, or at least give a large red warning to the user that he really fucking shouldn't be doing that)
The creator would have to pickup the package and either
-deliver each parcel traditionally
-discuss with each gang member how they can mail it to their parents house so it would be suspicious (postage decided in discussion)
-if the gang member fell off the face of the earth and has had no activity on the drugs4kids board in more than 30 days after the package arrives, the creator is rewarded the package for holding on to it for a month.
After each member finalizes his package arrival, their account is permanently deleted.
Once each member is finalized, the creators account and all other information on the gang is deleted.
Thoughts?

Who buys the PO box? The leader? Somebody is taking the risk for that, and I wouldn't put it passed me that if that guy is caught then he will most definitely snitch on the other guys in the "gang"
The only thing saving them is the fact that they would be underage and claim innocence and they didn't know what they were doing online.

The owner buys the PO box but every member can contribute to the cost, since it will need to be rented for at least a full month. I doubt the gang leader would snitch on everybody, especially since there's not much proof the gang members are associated with the actual drug buying anyways.
I feel it is my duty to inform you guys on dank deals. So, House of spirit on Agora is doing 25 tabs of LSD for $75. Dosed at 100ug each, and HoS is LSD avengers verified.

I can help you out, I can buy instantly from coinbase.
[editline]5th November 2014[/editline]
Actually wait, nvm, they only let me buy $100 worth weekly, so if you're willing to wait a week and a half or so and buy twice it could work.
[editline]5th November 2014[/editline]
Anything below $100 should work though.
I have $50 worth right now if you need

Thank fuck I didn't have coins in.
