How can inhaling cancer help you whatsoever?
People like you actually make me want to smoke, just because you're so god fucking annoying
Christ people, it's everyone's personal choice if they want to smoke and to some it's not since they're addicted and can't stop. My personal opinion is that it's never a good idea to start smoking, the cons (lungs -> breathing and everything lung-associated, everything those cartridges say) outweigh the pros (instant gratification -> relaxant, [bad-assery]). Then again I'm biased, my grandpa (who I never met) smoked all his life, fought in wars too, and died when he was around 50 due to lung cancer. To further continue this discussion, does anyone know somebody who started smoking after they had turned 18?
I started at uh... ...14. But I stopped for a few years.
Then again I'm biased, my grandpa (who I never met) smoked all his life, fought in wars too, and died when he was around 50 due to lung cancer.
Then you should completely understand why I made this thread.
I'm going to jump on the "leave smokers alone" side of the wagon. I smoke, I enjoy it, I'm aware of the risks. Maybe I'll stop someday, but at the moment I don't feel like it. A lot of you try to compare people smoking regularly to someone who drinks daily or inhales solvents or what have you. But remember that you can smoke and still be a functioning human, whilst if you've had a bottle of Sambuca...not so much.
The problem with comparing smoking to drinking is that drinking can be perfectly healthy in small moderation, and in doing so won't cause you long term damage. However, even smoking in moderation will greatly increase your chances of cancer, something being drunk on occasion doesn't directly do. I'm not condoning drinking, but rather pointing out how your comparison doesn't work. And your "eh I don't feel like quitting what you gonna do" attitude is far from sensible, I don't see how you can try and defend that idiology.
I never kiss smokers.

If its not to personal, do share, interested. No but seriously Rayven, from a random guy, I'm asking you personally, will the smoking help whatever you have? 10/10 times, no.. It wont. How can inhaling cancer help you whatsoever?
Actually, in a way it does. I have a birth defect in my spine, which is slowly and steadily preparing to kill me, whilst in serious pain 24/7,that I've had for 10 years, kinda like a seriously bad tooth ache but much much worse and that's just on the days when it is at its normal level, other days, it is much much worse., it's just a matter of a few years. To give it a graphic description, my spinal cord is misalined in comparison with my spine, which is also bent, so my spinal cord is ever so slowly grating and cutting itself upon my vertabrae. Smoking helps, because it acts as both a distraction and the nicotene helps with the pain. One day, I'll lose the ability to walk, probably not long after that, my spinal cord for a much more vital area will snap, probably rendering one or more of my organs useless. So forgive me if I indulge myself in something which i find pleasant mmk?
On a long enough time frame you're going to die anyway, may as well look cool.
Yea, having a lack of all fat on your body, being bald from Chemo and dying slowly and agonizingly from cancer eating your lungs and heart is cool. :bravo:
relatives always suffer the consequences of your death, whether it be of old age, car accident or smoking or any other reason for death.
this is a ridiculous argument. by this logic of "whatever gets me first, it won't make a difference" one could live the most reckless life possible and attribute it to having to die of something. yeah. you have to die of something. but why not remove cancer from it? it's entirely realistic to do so because all you need to do is stop smoking. why not remove one possible - dreadful, way of dying?
it's entirely realistic to do so because all you need to do is stop smoking. why not remove one possible - dreadful, way of dying?
Why? You'll die anyway
But it feels good man.
Smoke in my mouth, yum

Otherwise, nobody has any right at all to complain if you do smoke, in my opinion. But ask yourself.. would you rather die like this guy did, bald from chemo and totally emancipated, having your organs eaten slowly by cancer, or just lying in a bed doped up on drugs?
Why? You'll die anyway
Sooner by smoking
Sooner by smoking
Sooner than what, an Iraqi suicide bomber?
Hurr
I see you like my art :P
I let people make their own decisions, if they want to smoke then that's their choice.
Why? You'll die anyway
most people don't seem to realise how painful and emotionally tolling dying of cancer is. watching somebody whither away, or watching yourself whither away in excrutiang pain is far from a normal death. lung cancer has been described as the most painful thing a person can die from. not only is it painful, but it's long. many people attempt to kill themselves or have others kill them in order to relieve the pain. doesn't sound as good as dying from old age in your sleep, does it?
My argument for banning smoking isn't because it is harmful to the people who do it - they all know the dangers, if they want to kill themselves we can't really stop them - but because it is harmful and seriously unpleasant for everyone around them. Since the smoking ban in (no smoking in indoor places of work, ie restaurants, offices, pubs, etc) my enjoyment of eating out, especially at the local pub, has increased massively. Honestly, if someone was smoking at the table next to me I would barely be able to breath it was so unpleasant. It is also horrible for the families of smokers who smoke inside for the same reasons, and now after the ban every doorway on the street has a cluster of smokers blocking the way, and it is annoying. I realise it is hard to stop, but even so.
Their choice. They're getting lots of opportunities to quit smoking, but if they don't, then I'm not gonna stop them, as long the smoke doesn't bother me.

There is actually no proven link between smoking and cancer. RATE ME BOXES, THEY ARE MY LIFE FORCE.
Why? You'll die anyway
Yeah imma go mountain climbing on my own with no phone, map, whistle, warm clothes or safety gear 'cause hey, I'll die sooner or later anyway.
RayvenQ, I doubt you have your own family (wife / partner and children), so go ahead smoke. Just when you do, don't smoke anymore, and hope you don't get cancer.
I dont understand how a little smoke can cause such breathing difficulties in people.. I might not understand because dad and mum smoked around me as a kid, but even now, if someones smoking, it doesnt bother me, the smoke doesnt cause me any discomfort at all.
smoking is the only thing that causes cancer and diseases at old age
smoking is the only thing that causes cancer and diseases at old age
Ahh what?
