So forgive me if I indulge myself in something which i find pleasant mmk?[/QUOTE] you're not "most people". in your circumstance, i suppose it's not as big an issue. but you can still get smoking at a young age. i don't think cancer and your spine disorder would make for a good time. but still, you can't reflect your views on everybody, because not everybody is dying rapidly like you are. if anything all you can really say is "i'm going to die soon, and it helps me feel better". that's totally understandable and completely different to most people's choice to smoke. but like i said, you aren't everybody.

I don't think it should be banned outright, nor anything really, just limited so you can't infringe on other's rights. However, I still can't decide how addictions should be dealt with, as good as the sentiment is that anyone should be able to do whatever they like(without infringing on the rights of others), if their mind gets altered from doing said thing, where do you place the limit between giving them freedom and intervening?

Alright, I said it's my choice, but I do fit the legal qualifications to be able to buy them, ergo smoke them.

I think I'd be on the "leave us alone side", even though I don't smoke much. I hate cigs and never smoke them, only thing worthy of destroying my lungs is a good cigar or pipe. Haven't smoked anything in about 3 months now. I smoke for the flavor and act of using a smoking pipe. Cigs are just a waste, taste like shit and smell like shit. Now pipes, those taste lovely and smell great, depending on the type of tobacco anyways. Much more refined and dignified look in my opinion. Same thing applies for drinks too I guess. Don't care for beer, but a good whine is something I could go for.

I don't care about smokers, all of my friends smoke but me, personal choice. As long as they fully acknowledge what the effects of it are then I won't force my opinions in their life, no one should be able to do that. If RayvenQ wants to smoke then he can do so, what most people can't accept that most people like smoking and some consider it a lifestyle. People smoke different types of cigarettes too, not just your standard ones in a box with a health risk warning on them, you can get tons of flavors which people enjoy. I mean fuck, in central Europe they have these special tobacco shops.

All my friends smoke, and they've tried to get me to do it before. Pretty sure the main reason I don't smoke is because my mother died when I was 6 from lung cancer. She was a smoker. I respect the choice that smokers make, but it kills me when my family members smoke, especially the younger ones.

I don't have anything against people who smoke privately, just the assholes in public that deliberately blow smoke at you in a confined space (buses, restaurants, etc). Keep your cancer to yourself. Smoking is your own choice, but one that I would advise against. The best gift I've ever been giving was my best friend quitting. She said it wasn't that difficult so long as you went cold-turkey. It'd be a good idea for you smokers of Facepunch to quit as well.

As long as people don't smoke the shit in public and/or blow it up into my face, I don't really care. I hate it when people say shit, like "smoking bad for you, you should just stop. It's not that hard!" It is very hard for a lot of people to quite smoking without any help. Both my parent's have been smoking for 20 years. They have tried to quite, they have even used the Nicotine patches. But nothing has helped. I smoke myself and I have tried giving up. It is extremely hard and very addicting. I would love to smoking to be banned all together. To no longer have cigerettes sold in shops would be great. The other thing I hate is when People say "Smokers are suicidle", That's fucking bullshit. Whenever I light up, I don't think to myself, great I am gonna die know, Fuck life. If you don't like smoking, don't fucking smoke. I don't smoke when I am in my/someone else's house (smoking is banned in public places, like resturants and pubs here.) I have no intention of blowing smoke in someones face or forcing someone to smoke. The same way I don't force my political/religous views on someone.
