I wonder if Jon felt awkward about this:
If it wasn't laden with copyright issues, I would love then to do movie grumps. like mst3k but jontron and James. Mike can come too.
They could do what RiffTrax does and upload the commentary for you to watch the movie with.
Felt like I was part of the tour, really liked this one.
They could do what RiffTrax does and upload the commentary for you to watch the movie with.
Yeah, Rifftrax actually has a section for user/fan-made riffs. That Guy With The Glasses managed to get featured as a "Rifftrax Presents" a couple of times. Jontron and James could definitely do something like that if they ever wanted to.
podracing scene from 1 still my favorite movie scene of all time
podracing scene from 1 still my favorite movie scene of all time
It IS a great sequence, prequels be damned
I'm surprised to here Jon thinks Episode 1 is the better Star Wars prequel. That was a really interesting way to think about it
I've always found Episode I to be better than Episode II. Like Jon I think it's pretty alright as a stand-alone, "Self-contained" movie, even though it doesn't add much to the saga. It has a cool aesthetic and a story that goes somewhere. Episode II is just kinda shit no matter how you look at it. The movie is basically just setting up Episode III, which it doesn't even do very well.
Episode 1 really is stand alone. You don't even need to watch it to make sense of Episodes 2 and 3, everything you need to understand the story plots are explained in them.
The impression I got was that he had a passion for video games, just not a passion for making video games.
I... completely disagree? I really can't see how that's all you get out of that. It's clear he has a passion for video games, but from what he said it's pretty clear movies are what he truly loves.
So is this just his house or does he actually own a video store with all that vintage stuff?
It's his house. Like he said it's right outside of his game room, and it's where he filmed some of the bugs bunny shitting scenes, etc. [editline]21st May 2015[/editline]
I wonder if Jon felt awkward about this:
probably not lol, jon obviously just says it's how it is and how he believes, and that video is really just joshing about people rather than actual demeaning humor
