swastikas were also used by young aviators in early 20th century as a good luck charm, and by pre-christian religions. it was also used by noblemen in poland in the 19th century (which is ironic since they were going to be attacked by a nation that had the swastika as their main symbol later). i could go on all day but i have to take a really nasty crap right now.
