I only saw the movie. :(
You should read the book. Not only is it worth it. It seems like a privilege.
Gonna take an updated picture of my bookcase. Be with you shortly.
Gonna take an updated picture of my bookcase. Be with you shortly.
aww yeah
I remember renting the movie a few years back. I asked the clerk "do you have it?" to which he replied "have what?" to which I replied "it" to which he replied "are you fucking with me? I'm not in the mood" Then I said I wanted the movie "It" by Stephen King. He apologized for swearing at me.
he apologized for swearing at me.
damn right

It was hopeless. :v:
Same here. Whenever I said I'm reading "IT", they're like. "Reading what??" "IT!" It was hopeless. :v:
maybe King called it "It" for that very reason
maybe King called it "It" for that very reason
Or because nobody in Derry knows what they're dealing with.
Or because nobody in Derry knows what they're dealing with.
no I think my reason is better
I preferred The Stand to IT, but it was a great book and a pretty good film
Is The Stand any good? What's it about?
Is The Stand any good? What's it about?
An infection that hits NYC. I haven't gotten the chance to read it, but I'm very eager to.
I always thought "Thinner" was much better. One of my favorite novels.
An infection that hits the whole world. I haven't gotten the chance to read it, but I'm very eager to.
fix'd.
I always thought "Thinner" was much better. One of my favorite novels.
I thought Thinner got really boring towards the end
I thought Thinner got really boring towards the end
It was more downer towards the end rather than boring, at least for me. Especially when [sp]Ginelli died[/sp] :frown:
I thought Thinner got really boring towards the end
The end was pretty damn amazing. How about Duma Key? The end kind of reminded me of the final confrontation in It.
It was more downer towards the end rather than boring, at least for me. Especially when [sp]Ginelli died[/sp] :frown:
yeah I was actually quite upset when [sp]Ginelli died[/sp] I liked him
I thought he could've gotten more cameo appearances [sp]if he didn't die[/sp].
Twilight is better
yeah I was actually quite upset when [sp]Ginelli died[/sp] I liked him
Yeah same. He was pretty badass. And then he got his [sp]head cut off.[/sp] Poor bastard.
It was pretty boring, I think Misery is his best book. I don't like most of his books actually.:regd09:
It was pretty boring, I think Misery is his best book. I don't like most of his books actually.:regd09:
Misery was one of my less favorite by him. I'd take Four Past Midnight any day. [editline]07:22PM[/editline] Would it be too much to ask that a mod rename the thread the Stephen King thread?
was going to borrow Four Past Midnight from a friends parents, but decided against it did I miss out on a lot?
I've never seen Venn so interested in a thread before.
