I've read most of Stephen Kings books, right now I'm reading "Liseys Story" while my local library orders books 4-7 of the dark tower series so I can finish it. Also, my favorite Stephen King book is "Cell".
I loved Christine.
There's something about maniacal cars that gives me a hard-on.
[sp]Not literally, fags.[/sp]
What did you censor :D?
Twilight.
They all float down here.
Halfway done with Insomnia. My second time reading it.
They all float down here.
And you'll float to. :v:
WHY AM I WATCHING THIS BEFORE BED.
Fuck you facepunch. :(
Pussy.
He sure knows how to fuck a up a good storyline with a giant alien spider in the end, that's for sure.
If you've read IT, you know what I'm talking about..
It wasn't actually a spider, [sp]that was just the closest thing to It's actual form that they could see with their human eyes.[/sp]
At least that was my impression when I read it.
Also the [sp]sex scene is really messed up. It seems a bit unrealistic that an 11 year old would come up with sex as the solution to them being lost, but oh well.[/sp]
Okay, I watched it all the way through, after a few years, and I realized it's really not that scary. Tim Curry is a fantastic actor.
Does anyone happen to have a name of one of his novels in which an antagonist plots to blow shit out of a city and exploits everyone's needs in the town by giving them peculiar items at his shop?

Needful Things. Rereading that at the moment.
I'm requesting that someone artistic draw Clotho and Lachesis, please. :D

Awww, come on bucko! Don't you want a... balloon?
I'm reading 'Dreamcatcher' right now, and one of the characters finds a spraypainted message reading "Pennywise Lives".
Only seen the trailer to the movie. They all float :(
You called?
I'm a longtime SK fan. Currently reading Just After Sunset.
His short stories are the best. But of the novels, Dead Zone/The Stand/Firestarter/Pet Sematary/Salem's Lot/The Shining/Christine are my favorites.
The movies, well everyone knows the movies are hit and miss, mostly miss. Dead Zone, The Shining, and Storm of the Century are the ones I like best.
Firestarter was disappointing as a movie to me. So was The Stand, mostly due to Molly Ringwald's presence and the guy who played Flagg was all wrong. Harold was great though.
Reading Danse Macabre turned me onto a lot of horror fiction, tv, and movies, I recommend reading that too. Also, the 80s version of The Twilight Zone had as an episode an adaptation of his short story "Gramma". Watch it if you can, it's pretty good. Probably because that's when Harlan Ellison was running the show(another author you should read).
I got a hardback of this book, I might read this again on my leisure time.

Personally, I watched the movie (IT) a long, long , long time before I read the book, in-fact I used to watch IT quite often. I found a hardback of it when a library was getting rid of alot of old books (prefect condition too, surprisingly), after reading it, the movie was ruined, it just couldn't compete with the book, few movies can do that with any book it's based on, but I still enjoyed those. With IT, there's just so much missing in the movie that the only thing I liked about it after reading the book was Tim Curry.
I just finished reading "Atlantis" , it was a pretty weird book but it made me read Lord Of The Flies afterwards.

Yea it's pretty cheesy sometimes and the overall 90's look doesn't help either.

The book itself, yes. The scene in the old water-tower, with the Dragon/Bird, craaaap.
Or when the one boy steps into the skull of the lost girl.
I also remember the scene with the freezer/fridge and the boy who let animals starve in them.
Jesus, fucked up.

Salems Lot was one of his most atmospheric ones.
I never did like Patrick Hocksetter :v:
Neither did the leaches :v:
Anyone read Rose Madder? Now that is an epic book. I love his psychological terror based works like that and Misery more than the supernatural stuff.
I read about half of it, didn't like it.
I liked Delores Claiborne, didn't like Rose Madder. Some of those women themed books didn't really sit right with me for some reason. I guess I don't think writing from a woman's POV is his strong point, at least not over an entire novel.
Not about this particular book, but Stephen King related nontheless.
I was reading Cell and [sp]Alice got killed[/sp] , I haven't read the book for 3 days now :ohdear:
This guy really nows what he's doing.
Stephen King fails miserably.

You sir. Are an idiot. Have a nice day.

Cry some more.
Maybe he likes Twilight.
Or maybe I just don't like Stephen King's work?
