The movie (which is actually a TV mini series cut together and repackaged) was, to be honest, pretty shit except for Tim Curry's portrayal of pennywise, which is some of the most disturbingly good acting to grace TV.
It's funny, because almost all the acting in IT is crap, almost bordering on over-acting or B-grade performances, but Tim Curry's performance as pennywise carries the entire movie, despite only appearing in the film for all of 5 or 10 minutes if that.
Cool. I'm about halfway through the novel right now.
If you haven't read The Dark Tower you haven't read enough Stephen King.
Agreed, I love the Dark Tower series.
Also reading the Dark Tower comics from Marvel. Nice backstory on the novels.
IT is my second favorite King book, though. I've read it several times. Also own the movie.
Tim Curry is awesome as Pennywise.

Read this post after I posted. Come to think of it, I never realized how little camera time Curry does have in the movie. And you're right, he absolutely does carry the whole thing along.
I've seen the film.
Dunt laff at me!
I saw the movie some time ago at a friends house. The ending was missing so I didn't knew what happened. I have to watch it again some time. Hoping for a Blu-Ray release.
[sp]Long book is looooooooong[/sp]
I loved The Shining. That book was better than expected.
I'm going to go to a Stephen King Book Signing in a boarders close to where I live. I'm going to get my hardcover copy of IT signed.
I'm seeing him in NYC 11/10
$200 Tickets :(
The Shining and Cell were good.

Yeah, isn't 'Cell' a fairly new book?
