Trains are better though. The EMD 710 can be had in V8, 12, 16, and 20 flavors and the 710 stands for 710CID.... per piston. This V20 model has a total displacement of 14,200 cubic inches, or 232.7 liters. and since I know someone will bring it up, ships get even bigger. 25,480L, or 1,554,885 cubic inches [t]https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--KFcKJval--/c_fill,fl_progressive,g_north,h_358,q_80,w_636/198zhuxjvr239jpg.jpg[/t] [editline]22nd October 2015[/editline] Internal combustion engines are fucking awesome.

Now we know what Cummins owners circlejerk to.
Internal combustion engines are fucking awesome.
I love how you can just scale them up and it's like "yep works"
but will it fit in a miata?
a miata will fit in it if that'll work for you
They're not that hard to come by, just watch out for rust. Other problems are ridiculously easy to fix (see the window example!) and BMW maintains a stock of spare parts for older models. Just make sure that the BMW dealer is your last stop for parts since things can get expensive. The engines are very reliable also. Take good care of the car and it'll last for ages.
I used to have an E30 with a M30B35 swap, so I know where to get parts and such, sadly e28s arent that common here, but when they show up they're usually not too expensive. could just head to germany to pick one up though. [editline]23rd October 2015[/editline] I also still have my ae86 that I should finish at some point.
I found it super frustrating to find spare/2nd hand parts for my Opel Astra H 1.6 5-door (2004-2009). [img_thumb]https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/t31.0-8/12039083_1675766532694358_5615693042137237440_o.jpg[/img_thumb]

There are tons of Astras here in the junkers. Also OEM Astra H parts arent really cheap :P
2jz-GE with single turbo or 2jz-GTE with twin?
a miata will fit in it if that'll work for you
You could probably fit a miata in each cylinder and have it ride up and down on the pistons without even hitting the valves. While you host a dance party on the valve cover deck. A turbocharger for that thing would have to be built by Boeing. [editline]23rd October 2015[/editline] I typed miata and it kept autocorrecting to "mistake" lol
I changed the windshield on this at work today: [t]http://puu.sh/kUNpZ.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/kUNr5.jpg[/t] and holy shit it's a nice car to be in and drive.
2jz-GE with single turbo or 2jz-GTE with twin?
The T stands for turbo in "GTE"
Fuckkk, right front wheel bearing is bad on the Civic. Swear to god this year is the year of the wheel bearing. Had to do the front two on the teg earlier this year, right rear on the Civic and my buddy has spent $600 replacing shit quality bearings he's replaced twice this year on his Tacoma. Also bearings are 2x the price of what they were for the integra, argh.
what is it with civics and wheel bearings every one I've ever worked on has had a fucked hub

Dad's went out on his Accord right before the engine started knocking when he traded it in for the Wrangler.
what is it with civics and wheel bearings every one I've ever worked on has had a fucked hub
Dunno, probably just has to do with being high miles. I've heard extremely terrible things about any non-OEM quality bearings though. Supposedly the average parts store bearing will last you like 30k miles :v:
The T stands for turbo in "GTE"
I know, I meant with a turbo added to the n/a engine.
If you're buying a supra to turbo it just buy a supra turbo and save yourself most of the work. [editline]24th October 2015[/editline] I don't feel like digging to see if that's what you're actually doing. :P
Serj how much weight can your racks support I need to put boats on my Z
Serj how much weight can your racks support I need to put boats on my Z
I can build them to support a lot. But usually its limited by how much weight your roof can hold ultimately. I just strapped about 20 2x4s and 10 1x10s on mine at once and it didnt move at all. Another person I sold one too has a fullsize spare sitting on it at all times. Id say 180lbs if the load is spread out. 80lbs if its concentrated in one spot.
I'm going nuts. The check engine light keeps turning on my SAAB. First time i had to change the faulty ignition coil. Then it goes back on again after a while and i decide to change all spark plugs and the light turns off and everything is normal. Now Suddenly it goes back on again.
Do a compression test and pray mate.... :saddowns:

Just took some sales photos of my car today. Feels really weird :tinfoil: Would you guys do me a favor and take a quick look at the album? Is there any photos missing? Anything else you'd like to see? Album: http://imgur.com/a/VEwFJ
