Just took some sales photos of my car today. Feels really weird :tinfoil: Would you guys do me a favor and take a quick look at the album? Is there any photos missing? Anything else you'd like to see? Album: http://imgur.com/a/VEwFJ
Closer shot of the stereo maybe.
Closer shot of the stereo maybe.
Oh alright, I took a pic of the center console. It's been added to the album. Thanks!
Looks like car porn to me. Great pics, maybe a few of common rust spots like the hatch seal surfaces, wheel wells, and frame rails. But those pics are already 100 times better than most of what I see for other cars for sale.
I drifted a truck. Fells good to make u turns and you know everyone at the intersection if giving you a thumbs up for ~style~. I now definitely need new rear tires and a better diff.
I'm going nuts. The check engine light keeps turning on my SAAB. First time i had to change the faulty ignition coil. Then it goes back on again after a while and i decide to change all spark plugs and the light turns off and everything is normal. Now Suddenly it goes back on again.
This ended up happening to me with my Nissan. After pulling hairs, changing a coil and plug, pulling faulty cam and crank sensors, and flushing and checking the radiator, it ended up being a blown head gasket. Surprisingly, it still runs, but not for much longer, I'd imagine. Still looking for a replacement car, since swapping in a new engine on mine would be cheaper than fixing a broken head gasket (but it would be a hefty gamble).
You're doing it wrong Ferosso, you need one, maybe two pictures TOPS and they need to be somewhat out of focus/dim/etc. Then in the description just need something like "Civic, don't need to sell. Let me know. No low ballers. Will trade for 4wheelers, maybe a Ferrari. Call Bill at 7153437310. DO NOT TEXT."
"Don't need to sell. Just checking the market. I know what I got."

I would have taken the shot of the lip that better shows that the entire front end is not roadrashed to shit but rather just the front lip could be taken off and resprayed to remove like 85% of all of it. Otherwise I think you did perfectly fine, less pictures are usually better overall though at least to an extent.

I dunno about you but if I'm looking to buy a car I'd like all the pictures I can get.
less pictures may be better for the seller though
less pictures may be better for the seller though
If I'm trying to sell my car I wouldn't mind spending the time to take more photos to be honest.

The thing is though, I'm only allowed to upload a maximum of 8 photos to my sales ad, so I'll just provide a link to the album in the description. More pictures also saves me a lot of correspondence between unserious buyers. I also remember the feeling when I find a car I want to buy, it's pretty unsatisfying when there's only like 3-4 photos, and you have to contact the owner for more photos.
I just read through a thread on a a Facebook Dodge forum where some jackass was asking who would trade what for his restored Duster. Then he kept asking and people kept posting what they would trade - Dodge cars, trucks, with pics, etc... to which he reiterated that he is not looking to really trade it but just see what people would trade for it. People kept posting shit, and he'd say weather or not it was worth it. Dickhole was comparing everyone else's hard work and sweat to some car he picked up from a body shop. You'd also be surprised how often this happens, or people just call eachother gay for having fuel cells... As for the for sale ad, I think you have enough pictures. As a buyer, since the photos are such high quality I'm almost tempted to assume the car isn't real or someone just found the pics online since it's not something you're used to. But the closeups help show that it's legit. I wouldn't really put any more. On my side of the car buying market, I've decided on the ho-hum car I want - an Odyssey. My mom had one when I was in highschool and it was a pretty good van with a bunch of room - decent mileage and everything. There's a lot of 2001-2003 ones on Craigslist for about $2k and I think that would be a good family vehicle. Some of them are in ratty shape though. One thing i never did was pop the hood on it, there was no need to do so ever. Slayer3032, how do those v6's fare with over 200k on them? I feel like it'd be a pain to do a head removal or anything in a lateral six.
So, got a speeding ticket tonight supposedly doing 36 in a 25 uphill in third gear. I'm 90% certain my car doesn't have enough torque to do 36 at 1.5k rpm in 3rd... the hell?

We don't get them here in the UK but I seem to remember hearing about gearbox failures and stuff being pretty common.
I get what Slayers saying with less is more when it comes to pictures. You want to leave a little to the imagination of the buyer, but not so much that they feel like you're intentionally posting no pictures.

They don't share a transmission?
This has made me want an Odyssey if I ever decide to get a scretary and any children that may be in tow;

You want people to actually come see the car and sit in it and buy it. Not ask 20 questions and low ball you. I'm not saying having 2 pictures is a good idea but rather having too many pictures is a bad idea. I'd consider withholding images of damage and only supplying them to people who request them. You really want people to contact you for more information. Craigslist and similar sites aren't a forum, if this was a forum post more pictures are always better as you might have someone even fly in to buy your car.
Suburban maybe?
I feel this is a step in the wrong direction. SUVs of this caliber are for people who refuse to admit that they need a minivan. Suburban - while larger, would still have the same problem of child loading, and gets worse mileage than the 12mpg the Dart she has gets. If she's going to have anything, it's going to be Japanese and a van, or large car, because I don't want to work on it all the damn time - just the occasional mishap. I thought of the odyssey because it's cheap, and I remember it being a good vehicle when my mom had one. It also got close to 25mpg, so a trip to disneyland or something is within reason. A suburban, maybe if it were a 1946 Suburban or something, but that's getting back into cool cars. This car has to be not cool. It has to be plain-. So that all my money for modifying cars goes straight to the Dart. Edit: well I may have to do some more research as the Odyssey's in the under $2000 price range all have fucked transmissions, out of 20 in my area, 18 of them only go in Reverse. Dang honda what the hell? The two that seem fine I would have to literally go see. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/5260725225.html That's the only not fucked one. But it requires "tlc" which could mean that it shoots oil in your face when you drive or something - could mean anything. It also looks like it's been mad tyte JDM'd
Way too much 'wood' trim.
It might just be me, and growing up in a house full of antiques and a father who went antiquing a lot, but wood trim really makes me hard. A Plymouth Woody Wagon is my endgame.
Buy a Previa and make it a balls to the wall sleeper [editline]25th October 2015[/editline] 6 point harnesses instead of child seats :v:

I require family movement. Edit : just looked. "Up to 13mpg city". And ill bet you have to baby it to attempt that. Theres a reason the gas tank is so big on them.
How can it even get that little mileage, we get 14 out of the F-150 with a V8 pretty easily.
