Because old large brick
So.. again... the Subaru is sold. This time I actually got money for it though... so now I'm carless.
I live in Denmark. It takes like 3 hours to drive across the country.
Damn man, I am thinking of looking at a car 5 hours away, and that's just the next county over! I also thought of buying one that was 13 hours away, but decided against it.

It has FWD and literally no torque. It will conquer slippery mountain roads for days to end.
Yeeah, I don't think it's gonna fit, this is what I'm looking for: [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f8/VW_Eurovan_T4b_Caravelle.jpg[/t] [editline]25th October 2015[/editline] And it's a 13+ hour drive, including a ferry.
What's the code?
Last time i checked it was 1213 and it can mean many things.
The truck i may be grabbing is 13h away and a ferry ride too! Anybody here live in BC/vanvouver area? Could do a small meet
I believe 8 or 10 is all they got iirc. Also I would buy a truck if I requires gokart movement... which I dont... I require family movement. Edit : just looked. "Up to 13mpg city". And ill bet you have to baby it to attempt that. Theres a reason the gas tank is so big on them.
My family has had them for 20 years, my Dad's Suburban gets 8 if you floor it out of every light and slam on your brakes at the next one. Do you do that driving normally if you're in a big ass SUV? Unless you're telling me my experience driving it and looking at the MPGs on screen are all false. If you drive like a rational person, knowing you're not in a sports car, you can get 13. We took a Suburban (rented one instead of using ours) to drive me and all my stuff I took to school 24 hours from Texas to PA. Minivan would not have been large enough to move me, my family and all of my shit. Taking several people and all of their shit (like hockey bags), it was nice to have our big ole Suburban. Rag on it all you want, I will defend it against a dreadful minivan all I can.
Last time i checked it was 1213 and it can mean many things.
1213 Sounds like a general code pointing to another module thats the actual one throwing the code. I think your going to need a more advanced scanner to check other modules to find what the code is for.
How can it even get that little mileage, we get 14 out of the F-150 with a V8 pretty easily.
It's all about what gears it has under it. Remember the suburban also weighted alittle more than 1,000 pounds than its truck brothers. My suburban gets better gas mileage than my truck. Just because it has 3.42's and my truck has 3.73's ...this makes quite the diffence at 80mph and only a 4 spd trans. I feel like you're missing the point of what I need at the moment. I would gladly keep my 1974 Dart over a suburban any day, especially if the mileage is pretty much the same. What I need to do is transport 4 to 5 people, every day, with three of them being in car seats because they are children under 6... I have no need to "move" or do anything else that I would purchase a truck for. I have no hatred for the suburban, it's just not what I personally need right now.

I disagree with that wide statement, not with your personal situation.

In the summer I knew my power steering pump was getting worn out... Started leaking fluid slightly through the front of the pump. Going to just keep on topping it off until thanksgiving where I can finally tear it apart and replace this $40 pump. Additionally, I think I've made the decision to hold on to the Blazer as long as I can now since I've replaced so much in it. I wouldnt get a fair return selling it. Ideally the thing just has to last until Spring 2017, but why not last longer. Has new radiator, tires, brakes, hubs, battery, radio, heated mirrors, (power steering pump), water pump, CV axles, ball joints, steering rods, fuel pump, regular oil changes, and isnt driven like an idiot. Nothing has been expensive to fix so I guess until something internally goes in the engine, I'll keep on replacing/maintaining the small things. 16 years in the north and this is still looking good compared to a lot of vehicles.

I mean the people with kids and soccer moms who arw refusing to admit they need a van and buying a large suv.
My father sometimes jokingly says "you don't even have to change the oil on that car, it burns more than it can take anyway" and even though I do change my oil within 6k miles every year, it did make me wonder if there is actually an effect on oil burning cars. I've burnt around 10 liters of oil on it this year and it can hold around 5. Driven 8000 km. I'll just go change the oil now, but interesting shower thoughts aside, do I have to change my oil more often or just at the normal intervals when my car burns through some oil?
my truck leaks quicker than it uses so my oil always looks pretty new. you still have to change the filter every once in a while but realistically you could probably just drain the oil, replace the filter, and put the same oil back in since the oil doesn't stay in long enough to get dirty anyway. of course I do replace the oil every couple of months anyway [editline]25th October 2015[/editline] and that's with 15w, on the 5w it's meant to take you go through all 6 quarts in under a month
put in 80-90w and it'll probably stay in :v:
put in 80-90w and it'll probably stay in :v:
A block of crude oil? :v:

But yeah, it has burnt through twice the amount of oil compared to what the sump can hold within a year, so I guess the oil is always relatively clean and nice. I noticed that if I accelerate heavily, then lift off, it'll smoke a lot. I've never seen it do blue smoke, but if I accelerate down the ramp to a highway and lift off completely from the throttle while engine braking, it'll smoke like nothing else. Only does it every blue moon. It's the W123 I'm talking about, by the way. The W108 uses nothing, luckily. It's going in for winter storage soon - too bad I haven't gotten it to run properly after a failed trip to the mechanic in April (something went terribly wrong and now the engine doesn't run right). Oh well, now I have the winter to figure out what's up.
R34 Skyline or Toyota Supra MKIV? and why?
R34 Skyline or Toyota Supra MKIV? and why?
Skyline Because I think it looks better. That's about it really
R34 Skyline or Toyota Supra MKIV? and why?
why does the R31 never get any love
Might want to fix your oil leak problem first
It's an LR4 with 300,000 miles on it, I figure I'll just sort that out whenever I go in for a rebuild. the rings still seal great and the bearings don't make any noise yet, but I figure it'll be within the next 25000 miles anyway
Had a lifted Ram start pogoing a rear axle right next to me, then it blew violently and he spun everywhere and nearly slammed my flank when I punched it to get past that disaster. All of this at 75-80mph. Code fucking brown.
Guys, last week I bought a 90' Miata with less than 20k miles on it (just got it past the 20k mile mark at the end of the week). No rust (which is a holy grail up here in New Hampshire), and in super well-maintained condition. Even had a very nice aftermarket exhaust, and I *think* the Limited Slip Differential from the later models put on. Was apparently owned by an old lady as the first owner, then the guys I bought it from got it in 2012 and barely put 120 miles on it. [img_thumb]http://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/t31.0-8/11700834_10205395605637223_613665367062153574_o.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xlt1/t31.0-8/12030276_10205395528115285_7000146018525958429_o.jpg[/img_thumb] It mainly just has some cosmetic issues, like a small crack in the front bumper, and the upper part of the front bumper, and side view mirrors, being heavily oxidized/faded. I've been thinking the whole time it has to be too good to be true, but it is so mechanically sound that whatever potentially is the catch, it sure isn't big or very evident! The guys I bought it from know Miatas in and out, and hoard used parts, so I should almost always be able to get parts cheap/free, and even get a helping hand every once in a while. For example, the power side mirrors switch was no good, so they just gave me another one. I'm planning on getting a hardtop (I've already unfortunately caused a small tear in the softtop screen...have repaired it though), possibly a roll cage for safety/chassis rigidity, and snow tires if the decision is made to definitely run it through the winter. It's in such great shape it would be a shame to expose it, but at the same time it's still only a Miata (not that I don't LOVE IT), and cars are meant to be driven. Wouldn't do it without treating it either. Also my first manual car. Surprised how quick I picked it up. Only took a week to get it down.
To be honest, cars that low in mileage and that age are prone to have problems as well, all that sitting for 25 years.
Guys, last week I bought a 90' Miata
Havent you been reading? you're a bit late. We don't all like Miatas anymore, we're all selling them, and buying beeyemdoubleyuus
