I think he just does not like the look of your car man, he's kinda a tool for that.
I also found a PDF on "Vehicle equipment laws and statutes" or something named like that, I couldn't find anything related to your pipes being "unlawful" or "dangerous to public safety"

Pretty sick car/van thing
Other than looking funny it's not really a good or practical car. It got quite a few too annoying design faults, like the angle of the wipers allowing them to collect snow and then get pushed out from the windshield is one. Being pretty damn uncomfortable is two, and not exactly economical. It used about 8 liters per 100 km.

Also I bought something today:

Pics of it tomorrow as it's waaay too dark to see anything now.
Lol helped a friend fix his alignment problem after having his GF's brother put a new tie rod end on. The tie rod end was cranked all the way down passenger side tire was 45 Deg from straight when the driver side tire was straight many faces were palmed on that one no wonder the brother had to take the same auto course at community college 4 times to finally fucking pass......
This sounds like a stupid ass question but, what is it that makes one of my cars smell like a lawn mower? The exhaust makes me smell like I straight up was mowing my yard for an hour. Not grass clippings, I mean unburnt fuel. It has TBI, so I HIGHLY doubt it's the injector. ECU maybe?
My uncle has a beautiful BMW 2500 and he let it turn in to rust, right now its covered in plants at my grandfathers place because he never bothered to pick it up. Its just so sad :(

what engine I'm assuming 305 or 350 TBI? busted O2/MAP/TPS/IAC sensors are all possible causes don't just discount the injectors because it's a TBI vehicle check the flow/spray pattern if possible if wonky you can send it to witchhunter performance to have it cleaned/flow tested instead of buying a new injector. any other symptoms is it just running rich at idle or all the time?
Lots of info
1989 Dodge Daytona ES 2.5L SOHC TBI I4 3-speed. I have an entire other car I can use for engine parts. So, not too difficult to fix because it ran awesome before my nephew blew the engine up.
There's no check engine on but it idles funny every 6-7 seconds.
I'm going to swap the ECU anyway because it also controls the radiator fan and I've tested everything else.
It smokes pretty bad at 6500RPM, but I've figured out it's not rings nor head gasket. It's not burning any oil. Smells like a carbed lawn mower.

what color is the smoke at 6.5K?

Sounds like your baseline mixture setting is too rich (sometimes called idle mixture). If it's equipped with a coolant temp sensor for the injection sensor, troubleshoot it to see if you get a proper reading at operating temperature. If the car has an O2 sensor, that could also be bad, but that can be troubleshooted (don't ask how, I only know how to do these things with 80s CIS Benzes, but you check the duty cycle somehow).
Also spray carb cleaner around the motor, but not into the intake while the motor is running. Try to spray near vacuum lines, as a vacuum leak can also cause it to run rich.
If you have a throttle position switch (also called throttle valve switch), check it for proper resistance at idle.
Finally, if you have a mixture adjustment screw, attempt to turn it until it stops smelling and idling funny. Only do this at operating temp.
And finally squared, check the TBI for proper fuel atomization. The fuel should be sprayed in a fine mist. If it's dripping, you have an issue, if it's shooting a stream, you have an issue.
But yeah, something is causing your TBI to just dump fuel into the motor, hence the smoke (which should look charcoal like or black)
I went outside to look at my car today and there's a 3-4" x 1" area where the Clear Coat is peeling off. It wasn't there before :frown::why::cry:
what color is the smoke at 6.5K?
Grayish white. I've read around that blue is oil, white is head gasket leak, and black is unburnt fuel.
So, smarter transmission guys... question?
My work truck today started acting up for the first time ever and I'm a bit concerned. If I'm in 4th gear and I accelerate up a hill, it will downshift into 3rd. In doing so, for about half a second to a second it'll vibrate like I'm driving over rumble strips and then go into gear. At 2500 rpm it'll do the same for as long as the transmission's in 3rd gear going at that engine speed, but as soon as I upshift or I get out of that engine speed, it stops. It won't do it downshifting off power (such as turning O/D off going down a hill, or if going from 2nd to 3rd when accelerating normally on a flat plane), though.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking torque converter, but if that were the case, shouldn't it be doing it for every gear?
Also, for those who don't remember (mostly everyone probably), it's an '06 Ford E-150 4.6L V8 with 4-sp automatic (I don't know which 4.6, but I think it's the 2 valve, nor do I know which 4-speed transmission).

Knowing what the guy did to the car before I bought it, he could have fucked with that. He took all the EGR stuff off which made it run like shit. I hooked it all back up. Idles better than before. But I may just swap over the entire TBI off my known good one.
ffs mastoner20 you broke my merger.
Also, drove 1.5 hours to a town to pull the headlight motors off of another Daytona. Popped them on mine and it know works! I rebuild the headlight computer, and it works too! The guy who owned it before me fucked up the last ones by pulling the lids open by hand a breaking the ring gears in the motors. Dumbass.

My Charger does that too. I think it's the torque converter slipping. It's like the stall position has changed. At low speed <10mph it's hard as fuck to drive. At 35-70 it does that rumble and stumble stuff.
Grayish white. I've read around that blue is oil, white is head gasket leak, and black is unburnt fuel.
oil is a very light blue, white means it's burning coolant. blue can mean head gasket leak as well if the gasket between the cylinder and an oil gallery is blown. grey or black can be unburnt fuel, if it's black it's running super rich and is probably missing or the spark advance is fucky
Grayish white. I've read around that blue is oil, white is head gasket leak, and black is unburnt fuel.
grayish white could also indicate a rich condition check the FPR for leaks the injector fuel spray pattern and also check the coolant temp sensor they supposedly fixed the issue of it showing crazy values but only if it's stuck open or shorted not if it's showing out of spec values backprobe the sensor connector with a multimeter 1.40 to 3.80V is in range anything else is wonky and should be checked/replaced
Edit: also you probably have already but if not try reseting the ECU just pull the negative battery cable and wait for about 15 minutes

Are you loosing coolant? That looks like what you get when you have a blown head gasket, but if not it could also still be unburnt fuel smoke.
So my car's been totaled in repairs for a while, but it's still been running. Today I stalled at an intersection and I couldn't start it back up again. I had it towed to a shop within 5 miles and long story short, the last place I kept bringing it to did nothing to fix my issues and essentially let my car die.
Are you loosing coolant? That looks like what you get when you have a blown head gasket, but if not it could also still be unburnt fuel smoke.
As far as I can tell, it's not burning coolant.
As far as I can tell, it's not burning coolant.
Then you have the basics you need to see why it's dumping fuel into itself. Keep us posted on how the troubleshooting goes.
Lerlth, have you pulled the injector for the throttle body and inspected it to make sure it's not constantly dripping??
Side fed injectors are the devil!!
If you ever removed the injector, I'd bet money on the seals being bad. I'd also suggest tossing a new o2 sensor in it and checking the timing. Otherwise, cleaning the MAF sensor and testing your engine coolant temp sensor which your ECU actually uses would be the next two things I'd check. You should also really check them at the ECU side instead of the sensor side since any broken or cracked wires within the harness won't show issues at the sensor.

Welcome to my world. Every time you wash it it will spread.
How hard is it to keep bare metal looking pretty? Is it practical on a daily? I think it'd look dope on any of these 50s cars I'm looking at.
Oh man a bare metal Studebaker Commander would be awesome.
My buddy's dad did bare metal on a rat rod he made. You would need to clearcoat it to keep it looking like bare metal (unless it's stainless). If you didn't clearcoat it you'd have an orange car pretty fast.
