I really shouldn't be in charge of money I bought a secondhand lincoln electric TIG welder a tube bender and a metric fuckton of DOM tubing and steel plate off a guy thats moving outta state. during the winter project cheap jeep is getting the frame boxed in and a legit roll cage mocked up. project cheap jeep should really be renamed project do we need this money to eat? jeep however my GF was happy her exact words were "Cool I can learn to TIG weld"
"Cool I can learn to TIG weld"
She's a keeper.
Vehicle encased with snow and ice. Too lazy to clean it. Dont have to be anywhere for another day. Rather not be outside dealing with it right now anyway.
Update. Got up to 40 today. Everything just slid off.
Guys, help, an airbag light came on on "my" a3 from 2000, what do? It just came from the used lot ffs :v:
If you know someone it gets cheaper had my bumper repainted for 600$ but its not gonna get any cheaper than that.
I got a hole in my rear bumper cover patched and the whole thing painted for $300. It looks like ass around the edges but I still only got that price cause I knew someone. At least they used the proper oem subaru pearl white paint. It's probably gonna look even more shit in a few years.
who was it that rattle canned their whole subaru blue
Just ordered my Cylinder heads lets see what kind of product 440 source puts out there. and thats my parts budget for December and most of January.
Brought the '89 Accord home today.. lol Got some snow tires with it, too. 100k miles.. not bad. Brakes need to be bled because it has a new-ish master cyl but the guy didn't bleed the rears. Front rotors are warped. It needs a valve cover gasket, too. The rocker panels are rotting, but it's a Honda in WI. Other than that seems like a solid buy. The popup headlights are awesome and the interior reminds me of my buddy's '91 Civic. Love the feel of an old Honda.. skinny steering wheel, low dash, the same noise that *every* honda makes when you crank it (even the NSX :v:). I'm still torn on the paint job. It's well done, and green is a metallic, gorgeous. The black has those stripes, though.. and that makes it look kind of Mexican.. especially with those rims. Looking Mexican shouldn't stop it from being reliable, though!
who was it that rattle canned their whole subaru blue
I believe that was FordLord who did that.
She's a keeper.
Yeah I think i'll keep her lol hell she can MIG weld almost as well as me Does body work better than I've ever even thought about Doesn't go ...right the flux capacitor is attached to the thingamajig when I start talking bout car things and doesn't care when I spend giant sums of money on car parts and tools for said parts. What more could you want lol
the flux capacitor is attached to the thingamajig
jeez man, we don't need to hear about your sex life
I believe that was FordLord who did that.
I didn't rattlecan mine. I did a rolled paintjob. Much tougher than rattlecan and comes out much better when done right. Ended up missing a step in the application process, which made it come out rough. I think Serj did it right on one of his cars, or at least has shown pictures of it.
So my dad went ahead and dismantled the L24 while I was working, he didn't want to wait for me :v: reminder that it overheated and seized years ago. The sump was full of coolant for starters and the entire bottom hose was rock solid from how long it was left sitting. The one seized piston was taken out and the block condition is.... good! along with the head! (both will need to be refaced obviously) Matching numbers Z is a go!
http://neworleans.craigslist.org/cto/5340714857.html how can anything in "like new condition" possibly be on a salvage title
runs great no tranny flood damage good condition like new no lowballers i know what i got
5500 miles if real is nice I guess but the chances of it not being from a rolled odometer are pretty fucking slim
Every machine shop for the next 5 counties is closed on Saturday and Sunday. FML. I work 8-5 Mon-Fri. Like, ALL of them. God dammit. I'm really have tempted to just buy new valves and lap them sons-o-bitches and throw the heads on, warped or not.
get a big pane of glass and cover it in grinding compound like a real hot rodder would

I want to get LED turning signals but the RSX's flasher is buried and impossible to get out. Is anyone familiar with the RSX and done this before? I know I could get load resistors, but I'm not a fan of cutting the wires and soldering.
http://neworleans.craigslist.org/cto/5340714857.html how can anything in "like new condition" possibly be on a salvage title
It's pretty easy to get a car like that salvaged, I'd be surprised if it wasn't salvaged from that fender damage. Insurance views classic vehicles as if they're worth nothing, same with the state. State and insurance says my truck is worth $1000-2000, though book value is $4000 in its shape and local sales say its worth more.
Not car related but kind of. I was going to buy a rebuild set for my slant six, and went to check my bank account before I did so. I found I had a rediculously smaller amount of money than I thought - check transactions, and I had 6 seperate transactions. Some used my debit card. Others used my actual account information, and some through paypal. When I go to log in through paypal it says "suspicious activity, confirm your identity" of which none of the phone numbers listed are mine, so I can't get in. I went to the bank and filed a fraud dispute and they closed my account completely and reopened a seperate one. Here's the thing. Whoever the douchebag is, they spent $450 fucking dollars at www.csgoshop.com They bought $450 worth of fucking counterstrike gun skins using my goddamn money and I couldn't be more pissed. I sent an email to csgoshop to see if there was anything they could do on their end, and without being able to get into paypal to fix anything there, or close it - or anything - I literally now must wait over 10 days to get my money back. Fuck this. what do? Just found a receipt in my email from paypal. They ordered a butterfly knife that cost $120.00 as well, and here was the paypal confirmed shipping adress to send it to: Arturas Arturas Bajoreliu 102a Pabrade, LT 18172 Lithuania
Contact Valve too. They dont take fraud lightly in CSGO
Electronic banking is scary.
Contact Valve too. They dont take fraud lightly in CSGO
Good thought. I figured valve and the store were similar entities as it allows you to log on using a steam account ID. I just got off the phone with paypal so they could work with my bank to give me my money back. Still irritating. I was kinda hoping they were in the U.S. so I could sick the cops on them.

How would you even file a police report on someone in lithuania? Do local cop shops handle internet fraud?
I had a similar thing happen, somebody bought a shitton of FIFA points on Origin with my money. Thankfully Origin support is really awesome and refunded everything. Valve support notoriously isn't. Best of luck man.
Just picked up this 1986 MR2! Needs a bit of work since the PO caught the engine harness on fire over by the alternator and the brake master is rusty af. Not a big deal though, I'm planning on prepping it through this next semester for HPDE with NASA so I can move on to Time Trial by 2017.
How would you even file a police report on someone in lithuania? Do local cop shops handle internet fraud?
Short answer: You have to start the process somewhere. When you start fucking with bank accounts it becomes a federal offense. His report will likely be forwarded to the FBI. I dont have much information at all (besides preventative measures) on this stuff since I've only taken the report and tossed it to our internet crimes department. They do good work and talk with the FBI a lot. Where it takes place isnt as important as it is to take the first step. The feds have ways of getting their person in other countries.
