Is it legal to sell a boat in Norway without the trailer? That shit wouldnt fly where I am.
People sale boats and jet skis all the time without trailers.
Mainly it's people that live on the lake and have nowere to store a trailer due home owners association rules.
They're fun, fast cars, but if you've ever driven them (at least the foxbody and sn95), the inside is set up weird. The shifter is way too forward and the seat is back, end up banging your hand against the dash. I squeezed in them not too bad, but for my 460 notchback fox I had to move the shifter back and recline the seat a bunch.

You can sorta see here, the shifter used to be in that big hole, I moved it back to where the ash tray was. Worked like a dream. I still sorta miss that car, never did finish it but I ran out of funds

How much does a build like this cost?
I'd love a foxbody sleeper in Sweden since they look like the eurocrap Escort BUT has a 5L V8 and low weight, cheap taxes and a simple car overall!
Just picked up this 1986 MR2! Needs a bit of work since the PO caught the engine harness on fire over by the alternator and the brake master is rusty af. Not a big deal though, I'm planning on prepping it through this next semester for HPDE with NASA so I can move on to Time Trial by 2017.

Nice! I'm so excited to get this thing running, I'll keep you guys posted with any updates. I think what caused the fire was the voltage regulator going out, the alternator to battery wire was replaced with shitty lighter-gauge audio wire and he didn't run it with a fusible link. I might be getting a job working MWF at a Euro-focused garage some I'm hoping I'll make enough extra money out of that to get this thing running.
Just want to share a car story with you guys:
So at the end of this past summer I went and bought this monster for a whopping $200
[thumb]http://oi62.tinypic.com/2web0h5.jpg[/thumb]
Its a 1981 Mercedes W123 LANG/long wheelbase limo, it sat for 7 years right in that spot before I showed up with a friend and spent 20 minutes getting it running, we hooked up a poopy Subaru hatchback battery that could barely crank it over its small 2.4 liter diesel engine. But we got it started and it surprisingly moved under its own power, we drove the bastard down the street to my house at 50mph. All of the lights work on it, the interior lights work but none of the instrument cluster works (typical among old w123 cars) The engine is also very strong, every glow plug is good and each injector is operating correctly. Since getting it I've changed every fluid and put a new battery in it. (its now under a bunch of tarps until this spring when I can put the real work into it) The only downsides of this are that some asshole that owned it a long time ago slathered black plasti-dip like shit all over its original red paint and the back floors are totally rusted right out (another great Mercedes problem) the tint also has turned purple due to sun exposure and the tires are dry rot city.
It even came with swanky swinger lights in the back!
[thumb]http://oi61.tinypic.com/2ibkftt.jpg[/thumb]
I'm way too excited to get this thing out this spring and just start going to town on it, its such a cool ride, not many of these w123 limos are left out there. Especially in the USA, these cars are like non existent here.
Moral of the story though, these diesel w123 cars seem invincible.
(just a side question for any of ya'll out there who can answer)
So do any of you have current jobs at shops? I really would like to hear if you guys like it, I'm considering the trade pretty seriously.

You'll be hard pressed to find a notchback shell as clean as that one for a good price, especially in a V8. If you got it in an I4 (like this one was) I think I was in it for under $3000? The engine and trans was $700 and I scrapped and parted the boat I pulled it from for $350. All the parts said and done for the engine rebuild (cam, valve springs, gasket kit, intake and carb) was $600, I ported the heads and exhaust manifolds myself, going off similar builds it should have made an easy 400-450hp. You can also sell the old I4 and trans to recoupe some of the cost. The driveshaft had to be shortened and the rear was "lincoln locker'd", god forbid the car ever hooked up the tires it would snap the I4 rear like a twig.
As for actually swapping the engine and trans in, the motor mounts were made with two plates and a piece of pipe per side, the trans bolted right to the stock crossmember, stock throttle linkage worked, wiring was simple, It needed a radiator but I never got around to putting in a proper one. It was TIGHT, but it looked like it came factory with the 460. The stock I4 front springs worked great too. You'll need the oil pan off a 460 truck.
Uhhh, drivers exhaust manifold was stock off a 460 truck or car (same I think), the passenger side was off a 351c that for some reason worked fine with a 351c gasket, 460 gasket, and copper rtv, never leaked. It was either that or $1000 on swap headers or whatever that would cost.

Custom paint job (quality is a little iffy), 4 speed manual, 350 swapped into it (I'm told it was from a 1974 blazer) + straight piped. Goes like stink and looks fantastic. Currently a project car though. It ran and drove when I first got it however I've already put about 500$ into it and looking at another few hundred here shortly.
Have an engine sound video:

EFs! There's a place up here in Oregon which specializes in nothing but EFParts as that's their name. They might have a white hatch fender you could buy off them but they tend to be a bit on the spendy side. They should also have plenty of the blue interior, clocks and the little bits too if you need any.
I'd definitely upgrade to something the size of a 205/50/15 or 195/55/15. When I went from the junky little 13's with like 165/65/13's on them to a 185/65/14 it made a stupid difference. Integra/EK sized tires fit perfectly on the EF and actually make the speedo read dead on instead of 3% under.

Haha yessss, welcome to the W123 club. You've bought the rarest W123 from the factory, so good job! Seems like it has been modified a bit as from the factory, they did not come with sunroofs for the rear passenger seats, neither did they come with sexy lights. Seems to be pretty original otherwise. Parts are pretty expensive for the parts that are special for the long wheelbase model, so try to see if you can find a wrecked one somewhere and get parts off that. Buying new parts for it at Mercedes is possible, just very expensive for the long model parts in particular.
I think we need some more pictures of it, however!

Sadly its missing the 3rd row of seats, the long ago owner took them out to put an awful excuse for a table in, I've since stripped the whole car though and have taken that out plus all of the rugs. If I could find a 3rd row of seating it would complete the experience for me personally.
