Both my cars have perfect alignments and are even aligned for 0 toe instead of going for a little toe in like I really should. Both have brand new inner/outer tie rods and have alignments every single time I get any sort of suspension component changed. I've never bought a set of tires without getting an alignment around when I get them either. I also only go to the most reputable alignment shop in town.
I'm pretty sure I just kill tires.
Alignment isn't just toe. It's camber, caster, kpi, and toe.
Also having 0 toe at all might even be your problem.
that looks like camber wear though
None of my cars have more than -1.2 degrees of camber(civic has like 1+ on RR) and the Integra is dead in spec for a stock Integras as well as a Integra Type-R. I had camber kits on it at one point but the ball joints started going bad after 7k miles and they hit the shock tower because Honda camber kits are fucking garbage. They wore the same with a completely stock suspension setup on both cars too.
What about your shocks? Having shitty shocks will shred tires way faster. My GF, dad, and mom has shit shocks and burn brand new tires down and warp them around 8-12 months after getting them.
After changing the shocks on my mom's van, haven't had an issue.
The Integra has always had decent shocks on it, nothing blown but I guess you could say worn out because my first set was OEM to the car for 100-120k, the second set was brand new, the third set was off a low mile JDM ITR and I now have Bilstiens.
The Civic, yeah the stock shocks I drove on for 7k miles but they weren't blown and the second set now work better than the stock ones but are junk because they are aftermarket replacements for a EF with a very mild spring. EF aftermarket replacements are going to be intended for a set of springs which includes a 78-85lbs/in rear spring. Really thinking about tossing my worn out old ITR shocks on it just because EF shocks suck hard. :v:

I can search for some recent alignment spec sheets, I'm pretty sure I have all the ones for the Civic but the rear is bent just enough that you have to align it for a little bit of toe out. The Civic is definitely the worst alignment wise but it's pretty much dead on with the Integra.

Unrelated, but cool:

What is snow? The ground is still visible where I am.
We're way below average on snow, but way above average for rain. Thanks El Nino.
Rain? I need a fucking canoe to get to my shop.
Anyone here tire nerds? Math says I require 23psi in my tires. But I believe that's too low. Ohhhh the joys of going oversized on tires!
I guess I need to go get some chalk and a air compressor and see what the pressure needs to be...
If you're oversized enough, it may be correct.
When thinking about tire inflation when it comes to tire size, the constant is how many cubic feet of air can hold up a specific weight. The variable is container size. Because a bigger tire is a larger container, that means that when you put the same amount of air in it, the air isn't as compressed, and has a lower pressure. However, it still has enough air to support your vehicle.
It's not the pressure the air inside the tire creates that supports your vehicle, it's the actual amount of air that does. That's why people can run 10-15psi in drag slicks on 3000+lb vehicles, yet the soft tires hold up the entire vehicle.
Goddamn it. This weekend I thought I fixed this problem the Slaab was having but it's popped back up. The temperature gauge shoots up randomly and it's dumping excess coolant into the engine. I cleaned up the connections on the sensor and thought that would fix it but it didn't. Might be time for a new one. It did just hit 180k Miles this weekend as well.
My grandfather has a Town Car.
That motherfucker cruises like nobody's business
My brain hurts soooooo much.
I just chaulked the tires and it looks like it likes when you run 28.
Goodyear emailed me back and said I should run 26.
I will run more tests tonight. I'm having more conserns not that the tire can't handle the weight but the fact the lower I go the more subject the tire is to road walking.
I have a air compressor in the back of my truck along with a generator to fiddle more with it tonight...
Can 2psi really cause that much of a difference?
Can 2psi really cause that much of a difference?
According to that M3 driver who launched his car over the median, it can
For the Landcruiser oil pressure issue, are you measuring with a mechanical pressure gauge at a test port?
And the Saab dumping coolant into the engine.. you mean like, into the combustion chamber? If so, that's a bad headgasket or cracked block.

Did you get a tape measure or a bunch of lasers to do the alignment yourself like an old schooler or did you take it to a shop?
Is the car at the correct ride height?
There is no car on earth that is designed to wear tires that unevenly, that kind of wear would be cause for a recall if it were designed to be that way.

It only goes to the Hunter Brakes and Alignment shop which is the only shop for 100 miles which knows how to do an alignment. I've never modified my cars in any way that would even throw them out of spec. Eibach Prokit springs are the most extreme modification to the suspension that affects geometry.
that looks like camber wear though
Camber isn't what's going to dramatically wear tires like that. I'm running -2 on my front tires and -.25 on my rears. I'm also using Nitto NT555 high performance soft compound summer tires, which wear quicker than regular tires, and I STILL get a MINIMUM of 30k miles out of the fronts (I'll get about 15k-20k out of the rears because Mustang GT).
Excessive camber will cause the insides to be toast once the rest of the tire reaches 10-15% life left, which isn't that much. His wear looks more like a toe issue than anything else.
I was driving around running errands and stuff. I magically found myself as a first responder to a 18 wheeler across the middle of the road. I did not do the medical aspect of it just the directing traffic part because it was in a valley and once you topped the hill it was too late.
Found out my truck locks up very efficiently when you firmly apply the brake pedal all the way to the bumper.
Found out how to paint the bed of a truck when you panic brake. (I was carrying paint to paint my house)
Found out that a Fenix UC-35 is too bright to use for traffic. But does a great job when you need to blind a driver that's trying to go around a police roadblock.
Found out how fucking cool HAZMAT crew's job is and their equipment.

Since we're on the subject of tires, let me give a little lesson to you guys who may not know this. I have taken my car into the 160-180 mph range. I was able to do this because my tires are "Z" rated. The letter rating is the speed rating of the tire. That means that the tire has met the standards for reaching and sustaining a certain speed. "Z" rated tires, like mine, are rated for 149+ mph, whereas an "S" rated tire is only rated up to 112mph. So before you really try and go for a high speed, check your tires and see what speed rating they have. We don't need anybody trying to do 120 in their car, only to find their tires are only rated for 90mph.

That would explain why whatever wheels you get with the Audi S4 determines how fast you can go:

ZeeGermans are weird about that. That's why its always a good idea to get the premium wheels package because it will result in a higher speed limiter.

When you get into larger LT tires, the theory pretty much goes out the window.
Theoretically, my tires only need 35PSI to support my truck, but they bulge and would ride like crap.
At 50PSI, they firm up, have the right foot print, and ride properly.
These have much more volume than factory, the fronts are a load range higher than factory, though still take the same PSI to carry the truck right.

Well it's not leaking anything at all but it's burned through a whole tank of coolant in a month so that was my unprofessional diagnosis. I have had my thoughts about the headgasket, but that's getting done with my manual+engine swap I'm hopefully doing in the spring.

FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU TO HELL AND BACK! I've been trying SO hard to stop myself from going out and trading in my '06 GT for a '16 GT. You just fucked up ALL of that hard work!
But seriously, if I do end up getting a '16 GT, I'm gonna go with the Hellion twin turbo kit. I just can't decide if I want to go with twin 55mm turbos or twin 62mm turbos.
Why stop at a GT? Get a GT 350.
get a ford gt
