had to replace the fuel pump in my 89 camaro the other day. Talk about a pain in the ass. then when we were raising the rear end back up, a brake line cracked and i ended up having to get a section of line and a flare tool and all that fun fricken crap. Took about 12 hours from start to finish with a vehicle lift.

Has two binders worth of full service history, the whole thing is spotless and for the price it was a steal. Utter bliss to drive too, i'm super happy with this thing, super rare color, probably the only one left. The XK6 under the hood is fantastic as well, i can see why it went without replacement as long as it did. Old guy i got it from is super nice, gave me all sorts of shit, shop manuals, car cover, spare parts bin, spare steering wheel, tool kit, two jacks, spare rim and hubcap and loads of other shit for no charge, and gave a lasting invite for coffee now and again. So happy i did this
My man, welcome to the XK club. Good choice.
Friend bought it, as he will be driving it. Lol. I know, I would have atleast dropped $150 on a good head unit.
That's way too much for a head unit. Shop around, see what's on discount. I bought a Dual XML8100 2 years ago for my car. Has a remote, ipod dock, AUX 3.5mm input, 17WRMS per speaker. It was $40 on discount at the time. Loved it so much that I just bought another for my truck. This time it was $25, but too cheap for free shipping and was about $35 total. [T]http://i.imgur.com/bjQICjW.jpg[/t] B/W screen with blue accents, all of it has brightness controls, very easy on the eyes at night.
the ones I've seen around here have been either harvest gold or dark toreador
Anyone who I've ever heard of getting a detective car in Oregon, it's always been white. Almost all of our unmarked cars are white which were/are very popular with sheriffs around here but the sheriffs department hardly even exists and I'm positive they haven't received a brand new vehicle in ages since they were defunded into oblivion a 5 years ago while the local city police got a enormous funding increase a couple years ago.
that looks like ex police. too new for a taxi (they keep their cars until they blow) and detective and city official cars usually come in civilian colors, at least around here. private sec never gets 130k on the clock either, unless he bought it from a previous private owner

It's not a Taxi, not enough miles. You can just look at the door sticker (driver's side door, where it meets the body) to get the differential info. All PI cars have aluminum driveshafts, only civilian cars have steel ones, and you can't retrofit a steel driveshaft to a CVPI so it's not even a concern. Del91, make sure you see it get up to highway speed and make sure the overdrive is working. One of the most common points of failures for the 4R7xW transmission is the overdrive. Also try to let him give it a good launch from a standstill and check if the transmission has any hangups under hard acceleration. Other than that, if the CEL is on try a cheapo OBDII reader, most codes are self explanatory and for emissions related garbage that isn't critical, unless you live in commiefornia. The plastic intake manifold is only on somewhat earlier models, you should be safe with any 2003+ engine. [editline]22nd December 2015[/editline] I've seen plenty of detective cars in black or white, they're not uncommon at all around the west coast.
Mines a 2010, I bought it two years ago, and it was ex-police and ex-taxi with 160k miles. Shit happens. [editline]22nd December 2015[/editline]
I'm pretty sure its a detective unit. Front bench and all.
Get that shit
got home from work today to find an e36 sitting in my garage........ my dad wanted a "yard car". 500 bucks, manual 6 cyl, needs some work but gonna be a fun shitbox [t]https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/t31.0-8/12377887_10208196496541003_6621025313405971210_o.jpg[/t]
I'm pretty sure its a detective unit. Front bench and all.
I have never seen a CVPI with a front bench seat.

So my new F150 handles just as well if not better than my mustang. It just hugs curves. I'm also spoiled at this point. Power everything, heated and cooled leather seats, auto dimming mirrors, not having to touch my keys at all, remote start, and all the other goodies. No wonder it stickered 52k for a FX4 Lariat.
Your F150 has the value of like 35 of my Blazer.
Your F150 has the value of like 35 of my Blazer.
I got it for 43k.
I have never seen a CVPI with a front bench seat.
From what I've read, benches were an option in supervisor/detective cars. [editline]22nd December 2015[/editline]
11. All CVPI have bucket seats and rubber floor, anything else is custom added. A: No, this is so far from the truth. You can order a CVPI almost exactly like a civilian Crown Victoria, this is the SAP (Street Appearance Package). Or you can order bench seat, rear cloth seat and carpet floor separately. There is nothing odd about a CVPI with a split bench seat and full cloth interior, it is common (PCDC sold many with full carpet interiors). You can also order heated mirrors and keyless entry pad on the door (Keyless as of 2008 model year only). Also the spot lamp is an option, you can get one with out a hole for the spot lamp. You can also order it with CD player if you really wanted one for the chief to listen to Metallica.
Hey audio guys, I've got a buddy with a Honda... Accord? I dunno some boring ~2003 econobox and he's got no aux jack. What's a decent cheap head unit for ~$40 so he can just listen to his phone? He broke his tape deck trying to shove in a cassette adapter so he's only got one of those godawful FM transmitters now.

Anything by sony, kentwood, or pioneer will do what he wants and be decent quality.
BestBuy's got the Pioneer DEH150 for like $60, too. That stuff is solid.
I'm trying to take measurements of the buildings on this road and have been unable to find anything other than these two cars that I could possibly find dimensions for. The problem is I have no clue what kind of cars these are. Any ideas? Screenshots are from Artillery Lane in London.

I wanna drive Route 66. I've been to Tail of the Dragon, and the highway that takes you to Tail of the Dragon. I just kinda want to see the United States in a classic way, by car.

I'm going to a pretty proper indoor karting venue tomorrow. Anybody here kart? Tips? I've karted twice but it was pretty lowkey, in a parking lot with cones and so forth

Snag one for ~$40 with wiring kit on Amazon. 17WRMS, remote control, 3.5MM AUX, iPod dock. I have them in both my vehicles, have yet to find a better deal. [editline]23rd December 2015[/editline] I almost forgot to ask; I have a radio issue somewhere, though I've never encountered this kind of issue. Every now and then, the system cuts out audio wise, power stays on. If i lightly touch the front left speaker, everything works perfect. I haven't had time to troubleshoot. I've been focusing on more important work on the truck. The system was shot when I got the truck, all 4 speakers are new now.
