Im on my way to my grandpas old farm to fix my grandpas old 87 f250 diesel thats been sitting for 4 years, take it to the tire shop to get new all terrians, then drive it back home 1000 miles through the utah high desert, colorado, wyoming, and nebraska in the middle of winter with a title that has his name on it but is signed over by my grandma, a super unofficial bill of sale, and a death certificate to hopefully prove that the truck belongs to me now. Ive seen enough roadkill to uave a bad feeling about this.
Double check everything. Change oil and either pray that the diesel is still good or drain it and put in fresh.Even tho the diesel should still be...diesely... It probably has water in it tho.

What a fucking abortion that back end is. It looks like a guy had a seizure on MSpaint and used the fill tool afterwards
looks like *horrible looking scenario which doesnt actually look like the thing*
That Roadkill NASCARlo was ugly in the most beautiful way.
Thinking about repainting the MR2 myself over the winter because I can't drive it in the snow unless I'm feeling suicidal that day. Does anybody have any tips or anything? I don't have a garage, so would it be a bad idea to do each body panel individually if I lay down some plastic inside my new shed/workshop and do it in there? [editline]26th December 2015[/editline] I have a spare fender for my MR2 so I'm more than willing to practice on that one first
The end is hilarious "dry and sunny, won't that be great." Obviously better racing weather. :v:
That Roadkill NASCARlo was ugly in the most beautiful way.
I'd have done the shortening the same way they did, but just few inches, and also shorten the roof by a few inches and the hood by a few inches. less material everywhere instead of just in the rockers
probably best idea to practice on the spare panel if you can, doing it in the cold might cause bubbles in the paintwork but give it a try and see.
Been thinking about Civics a lot. The EG EX had a 1.6 putting out 127 horse with a redline of 7200. With the usual wheels/tires/brakes/suspension upgrade I feel like one of these could make a fun super low budget track car
Finally snowed. A day late. #Brownchristmas
probably best idea to practice on the spare panel if you can, doing it in the cold might cause bubbles in the paintwork but give it a try and see.
Okay. I think we're going to install a heater into the shop so hopefully that won't be too much of an issue. Any thoughts on a sprayer I should get? Or what paint I should get?

Ill probably use my blackstone labs kit ive got sitting around. Tires are going on now. The big o didnt have all 4 of the tire i needed so they gave me some wider ones for 30 bucks cheaper than sticker. As for fuel, im gonna add some fresh stuff and additive to each tank and call it good, it drove to town on the old shit pretty well. The vacuum pump change went almost perfectly. Fingers still crossed but all is well so far. Brakes need bled.
got 100$ bonus from work gonna pick up some more parts with it.
I was told there might be a large possibility of large storms approaching. And with family in with halfway nice cars I decided to go hide my stuff under the sawmill shed. CAN YOU SAY TIGHT FIT MCGEE [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1031910/Owned%20Vehicles/92%20Chevy%201500/IMAG1222.jpg[/t] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1031910/Owned%20Vehicles/92%20Chevy%201500/IMAG1223.jpg[/t] dat gap.
Dat fender gap is hot
Im a big boy now. And i only screwed up a shift a few times. Its only a 4 speed, it will probably struggle to hit 85, and its slow as a big bag of dildos accellerating. but daaaaamn it feels gooood to drive. Brarararararararaaaa clunk clunk brarararararraaaaaaaaaaaaaaasa clunk clunk repeat [editline]26th December 2015[/editline] Brakes dont need bled, theyre a little soggy cus the master cylinder leaks pressure slowly.
What are you gonna haul?
shhhhhhhh dont force this idea into his head or anything but that diesel would be cool in his bus.

Just bolt a vtec head onto a non-vtec D15 block and run a P28 ecu from a Z6. You get higher compression and lighter internals. Get a cam regrind from Delta for like $130. You can also get a ZC DOHC cable trans from hmotors to run a equal length axle setup so it doesn't understeer so hard. EF's are probably the single best budget trackcars, if you're around Oregon and want a super cheap but really nice project there's a guy selling a STD with a 5 speed spare trans included with fresh paint for "$1700".

I know it's obscure, but ugh. Nice truck, though! Diesel is excellent.
Snow came back. It's fun to do donuts at huge empty parking lots

Weather 5spd or not.
Some more E28 pics. [t]http://i.imgur.com/WurCFtZ.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/NyhsuMs.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/UCj6TlE.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/wzkFG0U.jpg[/t] We've basically put it into a garage for the winter and have been doing some work on it. After 8000 kilometers of problem-free driving, we've gotten a couple of small leaks (we discovered old rubber and old oil don't like eachother) but have been working to fix those. For example, fuel started leaking out of the fuel line between the tank and the fuel pump. All the hoses in the fuel system are 8mm in diameter but this one was 12, so we had to ask 4/5 different workshops and part stores before we finally found a replacement. Engine runs better and more stable and overall performance has been improved so we're guessing it had been drawing air in as well. Will put a video up on it sometime soon. Also we've replaced the rear shocks as they didn't really do anything anymore. The new ones are Bilstein B4s since we wanted to maintain the original ride quality and they don't disappoint. Remind me to get a proper camera out next time instead of the regular smartphone cam :v:
I found a problem with my old gearbox [t]https://u.pomf.io/jgqzae.jpg[/t] Don't know what caused it yet tough

Rarity and price very much factors—thinking around the $2500 tops. I'm just trying to be realistic for my current self, which does not include swaps. Anyway, the D16 sounds pretty good on paper and EGs are nice and light; I'm bummed that the EX has a moonroof though. EK EX had the same or similar motor right? Maybe that doesn't have a moonroof..?
hello people anyone have any experience draining and bleeding a bmw diesel? the n47 engine that is
Draining what? Engine oil? Transmission oil? Brake fluid? Clutch fluid? Fuel system?
hello people anyone have any experience draining and bleeding a bmw diesel? the n47 engine that is
If you're talking the diesel fuel system, nope, and Mercedes diesels are better. :v: On a more serious note, if you are doing this in hopes to run WVO, don't. If you are doing this to remove algae from the system, be sure to start out back with a new fuel tank screen and fuel filters. I'm sure the Bimmer has a primer pump or autoprimes, so with that being said, crack the injector lines at the injection pump or rail and cycle fuel through it until air stops shooting out of it.
Draining what? Engine oil? Transmission oil? Brake fluid? Clutch fluid? Fuel system?
oops, sorry! a bit tired it's the coolant i need to drain in order to install a engine heater
