That's an expensive "F U". IMO, "F U" is supposed to be "I spent $100k less than you and still got a lighter, faster car" with less unneeded bs. Like when an SCCA Honda Civic STD beats a BMW or Merc.
It's a street legal drag car that was a big F U to light weight cars that do the same job.
and it still gets slapped around by a GTR
and it still gets slapped around by a GTR
not really slapped around. stock hellcat charger vs stock gtr the gtr is about a second quicker but the trap speed is identical, meaning the hellcat just doesn't hook as well as the awd gtr (no shit) and with some drag slicks will pull the same e/t. 70 mile per hour pulls on the highway though (which is 99.999999999999% of street racing) the hellcat wins every time I don't know the exact numbers on how a hellcat challenger does in the quarter but I've heard it's a little quicker than the charger
"I need to get this water out of my tail light and drill a hole in it" and then I forgot its december. My taillight is 50% ice. Due to this, I had to put salt in my damn light to melt the ice so I could take the bulbs out and replace them. Now I get to de-salt my light before I put it all back together. [editline]28th December 2015[/editline] turns out the ice went to town on my light. The actual connector was also 100% filled with ice that I had to melt. This is what I get for not doing it in the summer when I knew it was going to be a problem later. Took me an hour to get everything sorted. The GT350 demolishes the Hellcat in every way except straight line speed, which can be fixed with a supercharger of its own and still end up costing way less than the Hellcat and it will utterly molest it in the corners. The Hellcat is a burnout box toy, the GT350 is a real sports car.
Sports Car =/= Muscle Car
Sports Car =/= Muscle Car
Yeah but it's not mutually exclusive.

I bought that interceptor. Not a detective model sadly, just a very clean, well kept cruiser. For the price I couldn't say no. Transmission shifts well. Door code says its got the 3.27 track lock rear end but I haven't crawled underneath and looked at the axle to confirm it. Been busy with work, but I'll take some pictures this week end. Drives very nice and feels like a truck compared to my accord, you sit so much higher lol
I took the truck to get oil and coolant an shit at oreileys, I get back to the truck (left it idling 30-40 mins) and the battery gauge is almost in the red. I went back in and had them hood up the tester, and whaddyaknow the regulator on the alternator is toast. So I bought an alternator. Only thing I didnt get is the DCA, which nobody open past 5:30 had, but I got some ordered. I start working on it, and I find out I got the wrong headlight bulbs, and one of the glow plugs has gone to see the great diesel in the sky, so I got 8 of them ordered. Mmmmmmm, nothin like an old ford and needing parts Also, a question. I pulled the plug on the radiator and drained it, and this engine is supposed to hold 8 gallons of coolant. I only got around 5.5 gallons out of it. I think I checked the coolant level before I left, but I may not have. Is it possible the truck was 2.5 gallons low and ran fine the whole way here, or is the rest of the coolant in the engine? If it is just still in the block, is there a way to get it all out, or is it a "close enough" thing?
I bought that interceptor. The solution is to buy a bottle of coolant flush and some distilled water. Since you don't know what was in there originally I wouldn't just refill the system. Add the flush, fill it with the distilled water, run it for 30 minutes or a few miles once it gets up to temperature. It won't take long for the flush to go through the system. Then drain and repeat as you see necessary(it'll honestly probably never come out clean, but you should be able to get the soapy flush out). I personally would do a good coolant flush on that engine because of the cavitation problems, the old IDI engines are notorious for them, and who knows when that coolant was last replaced. You can also get test strips to check the status of the coolant for next to nothing online. If it needs refreshing they sell cooling system additives to refresh the coolant rather than replacing it. I'm sure you've probably researched the hell out of the truck, but if you haven't read up on IDI cooling system cavitation this page has a lot of good info: http://dieselhub.com/maintenance/cavitation.html Highly recommend getting any of the coolants listed in that link. I have friends who also run Cat Red coolant but I've only heard that recommendation word of mouth. Pretty much any Extended Life coolant or bottles marked with SCA/DCA will suit the truck well. EDIT: Just read in a previous post you picked up SCA/DCA coolant. Nevermind the rest of that!

I'm gonna drain those when I get home, then rinse it out with distilled once or twice and warm it up so the thermo opens. I don't really have time to go the whole 9 yards with system cleaner and flushing with water 5 times, as I still have a lot to do on it and I want to get it done so I can use it tomorrow, its supposed to be a 10 inch snowpacolypse and I don't think the crown Vic could cut it.
Finally got the ugly-ass crossbars off my car. Turns out I could just stab a flat head screwdriver in the keyhole and turn, easy. Also, I took a speedbump a little fast last night, and now the knocking over bumps that disappeared has reappeared, and now it's on both sides. I think it's also worse than it used to be, so I'm suspecting the swaybar endlink broke, or it's the rear control arm bushings.
Anyone else here dig monster trucks? Steven sims burning down the fucking town. 26 minutes in if the timeskip doesn't work, and again at 49:30 because i guess the first time just wasn't enough

http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/5354048411.html This guy had a $700 spark plug change I guess.
This car is a lot of fun and pretty old school. I would love to keep it but I commute and would hate to put some many miles on this, plus I need a better car for snow. The engine and transmission have been rebuilt at 117,000 so there's a lot of life yet. The previous owner and I have paid for a lot of the work and maintenance on the car and it still runs great. As you'll see a lot of the big repairs have already been done, which is why I am pricing it this way. You are gaining a car you will not have to put thousands in because I've already paid it for you. Some of the big repairs I've made, new brake booster and master cylinder ($1100), new alarm system/key-less entry ($350), new spark plugs ($700), NEW AC ($1500), new power steering reservoir ($500), new rear tires ($300) and not to mention brakes, rotors and oil changes to maintain the car.
http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/5354048411.html This guy had a $700 spark plug change I guess.
Some of those seem reasonable but unless he had the work done at like something like VIP there's no way things like a new power steering reservoir and brake master cylinder would cost as much as that. Besides all that that's a pretty decent price for a decent condition A70 from what I've seen around me.
Today I learned a bit about scummy car dealers. So my Mazda's fucked. It's a shitty old Protege, and the driver's door's about to rust off and the engine's acting up, so I've been looking for another car. Me and my dad went to look at an '06 Camry, asking $4500. On the phone, the guy says it's got new snows, and they safety it after purchase. It looked in nice shape, no rust, the only problem is the battery was dead. They jumped it, and it stalled again. This thing, when test driving it, it seems like it wasn't charging the battery at all. It stalled like 5 times just driving around the block basically. Then came the hidden fees. Now Ontario has a law that car prices must be "all-in," the only things that can be extra are taxes, licensing, and safety but only if the ad for the car prominently displays that the car is being sold "as-is" and that these fees will be extra. The ads said that taxes and licensing were extra, but it said nothing about the safety, meaning that safety should, therefore, be included in the price. The price suddenly jumped from $4500 to $6700 for all the fees that they're not supposed to be allowed to add on. On top of that, they said there had been no accidents on the car, but the CarProof report showed a "Police Reported Collision" in 2008 with "Moderate damage to right-front." The snows were also far from new, the car was spinning the tires from a stop when we did manage to get it not to stall when stopping. So we walked away, and then called them back to tell them we didn't want it. We then called our neighbour, who works at an auto shop next door to this place, and he said "Never buy a car from those guys." This was a very educational experience.
I've been strongly considering a new Fiesta ST in the spring / summer, though after a foot of snow got dropped on us, I'm starting to look at used WRXes. Hmmm....
draining the coolant was easy peasy on the bimmer B-)
Talk about a joyless pursuit. I irrationally love the Isuzu VehiCROSS. Something about just makes me want to get one. [t]http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--901GKNEh--/gqt2uu7krcc9mtmcszfd.jpg[/t] Maybe it's the fact that it had a reverse camera in the late 90's or maybe that it had T.O.D before every other SUV or maybe that it was the precursor to all modern CUVs. Unfortunately, there are very few in Australia as the only examples are imported. I've wanted to see how the reverse camera/radio operates, but the only recent videos are of the U.S version which didn't have that. There was once one for sale on carsales.com.au but it was bought and was never seen again, not that I could afford it.
