Miata headrests will be more inclined to injure you in a accident than help. The headrests literally end where my C5-C6 vertebrae sit. Whiplash? I think you meant paralyzed from the neck down
I can fall asleep in my e46 sport seats. super comfy and you can tilt the headrests forward to support your head

Headrests aren't headrests. They are neck supporters in rear end crashes.
I know, I already said that. But all it would take for it to do both would be cushioning that went closer to the head.

Course I'll be a stereotypical Miata guy saying this, but the Miata is probably the only car I've ever driven where the headrests truly could be used while driving. Even then I don't constantly drive laying back though.
Headrests aren't headrests. They are neck supporters in rear end crashes.
This is how I feel about them because it seems 98% of cars are designed so the headrests are useless for actually resting your head on them while driving. Like you're saying, they pretty much are designed for crashes in mind, not extra comfort.
With some cars though, I have the issue of needing to have a posture resembling a poor desk slave hunched over in front of their computer. Most of the time if I want proper leg room for the pedals, I have to have my upper body adjusted so I'm leaning forward.
That way my arms aren't totally straight and literally stretching for the steering wheel....which by the way still happens on some cars because when I make a wide turn, the steering wheel is tilted. That means the wheel is further away at the top than the sides or bottom.
But anyway, vice versa if I want proper arm room so it's not too far or too close, I usually sacrifice leg room by being too close and bunching up my legs. This happens in my Miata a lot, although I keep jumping between too seat settings because it basically varies by day which one I find more comfortable. The other issue is I can get good leg room for the gas and brakes, but the clutch pedal is such a longer throw I need to be closer. I've gotten a little more used to it, but it still isn't ideal.
I enjoy driving couches.
My entire back and head is held up by the seat, The only thing keeping me up in the seat and from slouching is the GAS PEDAL.
Tried putting my GoPro different places on my car.

Records in astonishing quality for the size, but I did at first think the colours were rather dull (so I went ahead and corrected them). Do any of you have GoPro's here - is it possible to get the colours a little bit nicer from the camera itself?

hush, no one is suppose to know what they REALLY do.

apply instagram filters. Every one else thinks it does wonders.

It's not what I think about headrests. They are literally there to support your head so you don't get a whiplash. It's what they are purely designed for.
Attempt to swap intakes on my 440 failed miserably, the bolts that were on there were all randomly different lengths some used washers to compensate, some were only into the heads by half a thread. No gaskets between intake and valley pan and valley pan to heads just some half hearted attempts at smearing as much rtv as possible all over the place,of course failing to even cover half the ports so massive vacuum leaks everywhere.
I am really tempted just to pull the whole thing and start with the rebuild.
So my thirst for big V8s in cars they don't belong in is getting the better of me here
I found this bad boy here
Is there anything you guys can think of that should prevent me from getting it? Also, what do you reckon a decent price would be? $4,000 seems a bit steep for an '87 Fiero, especially considering its reputation, but man, 355 crate engine. Want.

I was inspired to make a Miata-themed hoodie and tee shirt last night. Here's my pitch:
"Less Is More" commonly comes to mind among us Miata enthusiasts. The Miata isn't a big or high powered car. We Know that. But it still entertains us to no end, truly capturing the "Less IS More" essence perfectly. Now, in the New Year, you can express this with your very own hoodie or premium tee! Hoodies- $35 Tees- $20
teespring.com/lessismorewithmiata
Available limited time only
EDIT: I've decided for one week only, less really can be more, and so I'm offering a $5 discount. Only valid through this link
Put my Saab over a pit today, left rear shock is just drenched in what I assume is shock oil. To make it even better, speedparts is out of their sportchassi kit, so now I'm considering buying a $920 NEX coilover kit that's on sale.
A miata hoodie eh? Already made.

You should submit the design to Blipshift. If they select your design, they'll pay you $1/shirt sold
I see a penis
The subtle masculinity of the Miata reveals itself. And all this time we thought it was a total chick car bro!
You should submit the design to Blipshift. If they select your design, they'll pay you $1/shirt sold
I've been considering this. I found out about them months ago and been dying to give them a shot. The downside is they literally sell it for 3 days and thats it, so it really has to hit the spot with people to make you reasonable money. I think after a certain amount they pay you better than $1/shirt.
But yeah, on one hand it potentially will reach a bigger audience, but on the other it has to sell well pretty quickly.
Fucking snow. Of course it snows the day after a holiday so if I don't go in I don't get my holiday pay.
Damnit, why didnt I ever think to check the fuel pressure on the truck.
brb replacing lift pump. I am about to reek like diesel fuel.
Supposed to snow until this time tomorrow and probably ice over tonight.

Update: melted completely everywhere within 2 hours, state of emergency declared by non-native oregonians has been canceled
Got a bad caliper from Advance, so I exchanged it and put the new one on the Subie.
Brakes feel fantastic now.

I went full lock sideways up into my driveway, the snow is the only time that drum brakes are any good :v:
It may not be snowing here, but starting from a stop is fun in the rain for me and my car.
Being I carry so much weight in the trunk (tons-O-tools) it makes it hard to start off. I don't really like it.
Alright. You all know how I was complaining about the alignment shop refusing to align my car because they needed more a larger camber bolt or some shit? Long story short they wanted to charge me $240 or so to fix the alignment. I spent 10 minutes today aligning it, it's fixed. No parts or anything. THEY DIDN'T EVEN FUCKING TAKE THE WHEEL OFF. They told me I would need a larger camber bolt because the current one was already full lock, yeah... It was full locked, THE WRONG FUCKING WAY DUMBASS. I know they didn't take the wheel off because I marked the lug nuts. Same exact spot. Same with the camber bolt.
Rotated the camber bolt, all good. Dead 0-0 degrees both sides.
I hate people. I hate people so much. Wasted tons of my fucking time.

I had so much fun in the two snowstorms we had last year in my car. We've hardly been below freezing this winter, though, and have had way too much freakin' rain. It's driving me batty. I love snow.
I'm more worried about the freezing rain forecasted tonight than the ~2" of snow we got
Serj is gonna hate me

Mr. Slant is a-hurtin. 1 bad hole, water pump is done, overheated a few times, still runs like a champ though. Gonna have to schooch over for the big block!
On a side note, this has been one of the easiest engines to remove that I've done so far, took every bit of under 2 hours to have it ready for the hoist tomorrow.

Its a damn shame pulling it out because everything is original and its so clean.
