Been a while since I posted here, but I don't work much on my ride with moving in another city at the end of summer. Did manage to wax it this weekend. Not too bad for a winter driven, 12 years old car. [t]http://i.imgur.com/VYFRrep.jpg[/t] The suspension I got around to set up in June really does handle well, but damn, comfort went lower. GM FE3 Struts + SSC Lowering springs + New bushings/Top plates/Bearings all around. Upgrade sways link, already had the GMPP kit on the car, bigger, solid sways. Made myself a set of anti-pogo washer and custom engine mount spacers to rectify the axle geometry, no front end shaking so it's good! About 1.6" down all around, does look better than the stock 4x4 look and it corners decently now. Way less rear end squat so it does help with putting down the power. Nearly 400 pounds of torque in a Fail wheel drive car is hard to maintain.
What car is this?
Pulled the brake booster on my red MJ yesterday. that was way easy, now I have to make a 1/4'' spacer for the new one (it's from a WJ) and grind a flat spot into the pushrod for my brake light switch. Won't be anywhere near done at that point but It'll at least have a working booster that is also more powerful than stock. Probably will blow all my rusty lines the moment I nudge them.
What car is this?
2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Trim - Supercharged v6 Comp-G / WS6 package - GM FE3 Sport suspension, GMPP sway bars, sound package, adaptive steering, sports stabilitrak system(I call it the automatic drift system during winter), Head up display and a useless tapshift 4 speed.

Wish we got that kind of styling in Australia.
I really want to get a Mustang Mach 1 but I'm having a hard time deciding on that or a MKII Supra or a 270z Datsun.
It looks like it aged well for a 12 year old car. Wish we got that kind of styling in Australia.
It aged pretty well for a 12 years old, winter driven car in the rust belt. A few spots on the rear fenders, do my best to keep them small, under is okay, a few rust spots there and there, oil treated before each winters.

Long post ahead of my current shenanigans! I've fallen madly in love with my KLR. It's the motorcycle that can do anything. Stuck in traffic? Jump off the road and drive in the dirt. Some asshole blocking a driveway? Drive up or off the curb. Want to do some wheelies? No problem. Drop it 4 times in a row? Not a scratch. Every part is dirt cheap, everything is simple and easy to work on, and the amount of redundancy is fantastic. If you need to troubleshoot something, just bear in mind: 1 piston. 1 spark plug. 1 carb. 1 ignition coil. CA EPA bullshit components? Tore those out. This pig with 44k on the odo barely ran when I got her. Now she scares me when I yank the throttle. Last weekend I did the drill-thru subframe upgrade. Stock, the upper subframe is mounted to the mainframe via two grade 5 bolts. Don't ask me why Kawi was so idiotic in their engineering process, but I noticed on my bike that one had snapped, leaving my subframe hanging on only by the lower bolts and one upper bolt. This caused the tank support weld on the opposing side to snap, and meant that all my weight was being distributed on that one upper bolt AND the weight of a full gas tank. She was really squirley, as I would move independently of the bike as the rear subframe felt all floaty beneath me. The upgrade? $30, includes drill bits and grade 8 lower bolts too. While I was working on that I replaced the header crush gasket to stop the dreadful popping on decel, and wrapped up the header. I'd never done wrap before, and I learned a very valuable lesson about wearing longsleeves and gloves... but I think it turned out okay! [t]http://i.imgur.com/Y35R4Vj.jpg[/t] Looks like I need to do the airbox mod, because she's running pig rich, haha. Please excuse my overly-excited friends and their inability to film in landscape: The car they're in is an '86 MR2, absolutely beautiful. My buddy is 19, he starting building the car when his dad gave it to him when he was 15. It didn't run, was covered in rust, and overall needed a complete overhaul. Over the course of 2 and a half years, saving every penny he had, he fully restored the thing into an absolutely beautiful machine that he is terrible at taking pictures of. [t]http://i.imgur.com/OzJscuG.jpg[/t] We just built him some custom exhaust since his eBay exhaust had lost its baffle and sounded reminiscent of ball bearings inside a can. Test pipe, flowmaster 44, and some spare piping turned out insanely well. Looks a little ghetto, but I'm no welding master. However, it lined up with all stock mounting and hangar positions and turned out dead straight at the tip end of the bumper. I was a little proud of myself. And he was proud of his super long pipe. [t]http://i.imgur.com/eAfAx0F.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/vRn2DC7.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/9W7DWIO.jpg[/t] It sounded pretty cool with open exhaust too (everything removed except exhaust manifold): Also took care of my girlfriend's oil and squeaky rear drum brakes on her '09 Yaris yesterday. I began snickering at the ridiculous shape of her muffler, and when she asked what I was laughing at, she replied with, "Oh yeah, it's stock bro." which had me in stitches. Look at this ridiculous thing! It looks like a ballsack or something. [t]http://i.imgur.com/S6J2tJo.jpg[/t]
Holy shit, that is goddamn sex to my ears
Neither of us expected it to sound so damn good. WAY too loud for the street; he was only revving to about 4k.
I bet some porters would work really nice on that MR2
I'm trying to replace the window regulator on my front passengers door but I can't find any way to remove the 2 cross arms, they seem riveted into the door frame assembly. What ?
What year Mach 1 are you looking at? They can be expensive if you want to restore them right.
Honestly just one in moderate condition that needs new paint or resowing of the interior leather. There's a few on ebay and kiji for like 10K but I have to wait a year to save up for those.
I'm sorry to say but you will never find a 270z
Aw, why's that?

Oh man, that's beautiful.
Birdman you know better than to quote all those pictures
It had half as many pictures when I clicked on reply the I got distracted a while. I am ashamed.
i did flat out in a brand new 911 turbo s cabriolet today cruising in second at 20mph step on throttle *car accelerates hard* "woah" *turbo spools up* "WWOOOOOAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAAA" thats basically what happened
Oh man, that's beautiful.
I'll take some more recent pics, and interior pics. It's all mint, and I mean that. 10/10 interior, exterior, and engine bay. He's meticulous with it, and the new exhaust sounds amazing.
So, got some info from that guy selling that LS400 for $1500. Turns out the only issues he says it has is that the dash lights are out (supposedly a common and well-documented thing with these), there's a small tear in the seat, and that the blower motor for the vents is making a noise. He *says* the motor, transmission, and suspension are all great and that he just got approved on a loan for a new car so he's making room for that. I'm going to take a look at it, and if it's as good as he says it is and there's nothing wrong with it other than the aforementioned problems, I'm probably going to buy it. He sent me some more pictures: What do you guys think? Do you guys think I'm moving too fast?
The interior looks like it was just cleaned. That could be good or bad. Good if it's just cleaned frequently. Bad if he's just trying to make it look pretty to sell quick because there's something wrong with it.

He did say that it was just cleaned and he put new mats in. I think he mentioned new fluids too. [editline]11th August 2015[/editline] He also works at a dealership (that's where the car is parked) but it's his personal vehicle and he had some of the service guys help him out with freshening it up I guess.
Buy it before I do
I'm pretty excited but also apprehensive at the same time, I really hope I don't end up getting it and it fucks me over and it blows itself up
What do you guys think of this? http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5139588892.html I would probably be able to negotiate it down to like $2,000 - $2,500 because of the salvage title.
